We sent our 15 month old lab there for a socialization issue with other dogs. The staff was attentive and listened carefully to our concerns. When they took her to the kennel area, she was confused and frightened and they sat on the floor with her to make sure she was going to be as comfortable as possible with the adjustment of a kennel. They worked with her on food issues and other dogs. And provided us with updates on her progress.We then switched her over to the hunting program to finish her training on pointing. We now have a lab that holds point and is a great hunting companion. Thank you Ugly Dog staff!!

Absolutely love this place! Our pup doesn’t look back when she shows up and heads right to the back. She knows playtime is coming. They take excellent care of the dogs and the staff are absolutely wonderful. They literally treat the dogs like family. Tiki treats are a must!!! We have other kennels/daycare closer to us, but we love Ugly Dog so much, it’s worth the extra drive. The facility is amazing too. Clean and lots of space. Fancy approves!!

My senior dog Watson stopped letting us groom him and we were afraid to take him to a groomer because he's very reactive and nervous due to abuse in his past. Eventually his nails grew too long and we still couldn't clip them ourselves, so we decided to take the risk and send him to Ugly Dog to be groomed, thinking "if nothing else, at least his nails." He went in visibly trembling but came out a fully bathed, trimmed, happy poofball! His groomer Amanda was fantastic and was able to do the full treatment on him - it only took a few hours, too! I expected it to be much longer considering how much he fights us when he needs to be bathed lol. Her respect and love for dogs was clear to see and really put me at ease. I much prefer a groomer who prioritizes the dog's well-being over finishing the service, so I'm really happy we found Amanda!They even managed to take this adorable picture of my little old man. We'll definitely be taking him to Ugly Dog from now on.

Nice location, brand new everything. Reasonably priced. Dog was healthy, happy and smelled good when I picked her up. I will ask her later if there were any issues, but she didnt say anything on the ride home. So I would call that a win! This pic was when we got back in the truck.

Ive trusted Fred and his team with Wally for 4 years. They have done a great job boarding and training Wally. I really like the pigeon play option. Wally is always super excited when we get out of the truck when we get to Ugly Dog. I highly recommend Fred's team for training and boarding.

We have boarded our golden retriever Louie at this place before and had him groomed with good success. We just left for a family vacation and set him up for boarding and a groom again. We were made aware by the front desk that they had a new groomer and put the groomer on the phone to go over what we wanted. I specifically said I wanted his coat to have a 1/4” max taken off and wanted his coat to be as long as possible while looking tidy. The “feather” on a golden is important and should not be cut too short. The new groomer cut massive amounts of hair off of my dog in all of the areas you are not supposed to and completely disregarded my requests. I haven’t been this angry about something in a long time. I have no issue with the boarding here but my dog will never get groomed by this groomer again. I can’t believe I paid the amount of money I did for this result.

I had successfully trained many dogs. Mizu our 1 1/2 old Shepard, husky, mix was my nemesis. I began to think possibly not fully trainable. We had to leave the country and find a place to board and train Mizu while we were gone. Many local places would not take her after evaluations. Walled lake schools referred us to Ugly Dog. From the moment of dropping Mizu off I knew she was in the right place. T.J. accepted her from us and he handled her amazingly right from the start. Something I had never seen before. We were able to see update posts while we were abroad which helped tremendously to comfort us. Austin and Sarge are nothing short of miracle workers. Absolutely astounding trainers. We are astonished at the difference in Mizu. She is controllable. She listens now which i thought never to be possible and somehow more mature and calm. The facility is above 5 stars as well as the Staff, the trainers, andcommunications. When picking up Mizu T.J. and Austin spent time training us and showing us the unbelievable progress they made with Mizu. I appreciated everything Ugly Dog has done and whenever we travel in the future Mizu will be there for boarding and "touch up" training if needed. Right now I am just still stunned at the difference. Again, I can't say enough about how professional, knowledgeable, patient and personable the staff is. it is just an outstanding business!

Building is really nice. Day care, grooming, and lots of room to roam for boarding. I like that they train your dog with the boarding. Prices are reasonable. They gave me a tour of the facility and it looks nice. My dog is spending her first week away from us and I will update this review after.

The best dog care, boarding and training in our area! The caring dog loving staff does an excellent job in caring for your dog whether it’s for a day, a week or more. My dog loves “puppy play” when he is at Ugly Dog. The facility is top notch and very clean compared to other dog facilities I’ve seen. I never worry when my dog attends day care or boarding. Thank you Fred and all your staff for a job well done!

We have been sending our dog to Ugly Dog for almost a year now. They treat our dog like one of their own. He is so so excited to go to daycare everyday. We love that he gets his Tiki Treats (which he loves) and a ton of playtime with his friends. He has also had great training from them. We have had ZERO issues and all of our questions are promptly addressed. We always drop him off feeling confident that he is in the best of hands.

I drive 30 minutes to be able to use this location for our dogs. We know they are happy as we see photos on Facebook on the adventures they are having. When we pick them up they smell of a fresh bath and glad to see us.We are lucky to have such a place to take care of our pets when we are unable to do so.

Best place ever to bring your dog! Modern clean facility. Friendly workers. Training is top notch. If you want your dog groomed they have a built-in groom shop! Daycare, training, long weekend, vacations. My fur babies have done them all here and we have never been disappointed! They get so excited when we pull up to Uglydog! It’s hilarious!😂

We drive almost 45 minutes because this facility is great! My dog can be such a jerk and they are so patient and kind. Being gone a week and seeing pics on facebook is so nice! Thank you for always taking care of Bailey!

I've been taking my 2 year old pitbull mix here for about 6 months now and he really loves it. He's been reactive around other dogs in the past, but the staff there have been patient in introducing him and making him comfortable. I was really worried about boarding him at first but the staff were very kind and attentive to my concerns. I do wish they had more staff, though, because sometimes it is hard to get in touch with them - I think this is a management and hiring issue though.

My husband and I have been boarding our dog Figaro at Ugly Dog / Maple Lane kennels for years, and have had such great experiences. As a pup, Fig learned a lot from their training. And everyone there is so friendly and accommodating! It's such a good feeling to know our dog is safe and happy while we're away. Thank you to everyone at Maple Lane / Ugly Dog / Wing and Shot! Great staff, costs are reasonable, and my dog is happy being there. The team here runs a well maintained and clean kennel. I'm glad I was able to find this place so close to home and would recommend them as a dog boarding and day care facility.

We love Ugly Dog Day Care. We have been going since they first opened. We have utilized boarding and also in kennel training for 4 weeks. Any time our dog Ghost stays here he comes home tired. Other places not so much because he is just sitting around. At Ugly Dog when Ghost stays there he gets play time, training, and most recently an adventure walk. Staff is very attentive to your pets needs including if they have special medical needs which our dog requires. Lastly I love how they post pictures of your pet on Facebook. My kids and I look forward to updates of our dog while we are away. I highly recommend to anyone to check out Ugly Dog Day Care for yourself.

Ugly Dog Daycare, is reliable, honest, and operates with integrity! It started for us over 13 years ago, before Ugly Dog was even a concept, when we had our now almost 14 year old dog trained with Fred. Today, we continue to have our still going strong, 14 year old, and 7 year old dog boarded at Ugly Dog on a regular basis. The facility is spotless and well organized. Our dogs start to get excited in the car when we get close to the facility, which only further validates, that that we know they are well cared for when visiting.

I was so impressed by the way Ugly Dog took care of my dog while he was being trained. I was able to see tons of pictures of him on Facebook, and it was clear that he enjoyed the treats!! On top of that, they were always so friendly and professional whenever I had a question. I would not hesitate to send any of my future dogs there to be trained! 6 stars!!

We have been going to Ugly Dog Daycare and the previous Maple Lane Kennels for over 38 years and the staff has always taken good care of our Golden Retrievers. We recently took our Rocky to Ugly Dog Daycare for a bath and grooming. They did a fantastic job and Rocky was ready for pickup as promised.

This Resort has it all, the best filtration system around to keep your pup healthy during his lodging. With the gourmet kitchen the staff prepares the yummy Tiki treats! Love Ugly Dog and so does my baby. Logan’s been going to Maple Lanes and now Ugly Dog for several years and gets excited to go there. The owner is super nice and professional and everyone treats my dog like their own. I would highly recommend Ugly Dog for your boarding needs.
