Heard from the owner of stonington kennels.... Left our high anxiety dog with them made sure to mark it in the account, and inform them that he cannot be left with toys, because he may destroy and eat them. Not even 24 hours after picking him up, he threw up dark blue plastic pieces, which after talking with the owner of the kennels were part of their plastic water bowls... No one informed us, or even told us he ate parts of the bowl. Plastic water bowls shouldn't even be given to the dogs as they are consumable, and generally more likely to harbor hard to remove bacteria in previously chewed areas of it... He wasn't given the proper care here, even when we informed them of his needs to not have edible content in the room... On top of it when he came home he was incredibly thirsty, showing they clearly did not keep up with hydrating him since generally he doesn't drink a lot usually. Two stars because they seem like caring people, but aren't taking the precautions necessary to ensure pet safety. Metal bowls should be provided and properly steam cleaned between dogs.

Wonderful kennel for the dogs. They have many options, and in my case, they are able to house both of my dogs together so that they don't get lonely. The groomers are absolutely wonderful. My dogs always come back super clean and smelly wonderful.

Stonington is absolutely amazing. The owner Tracy treats every single pet as if they were her own animal. I have never seen a business owner as passionate and caring as Tracy. We feel super comfortable leaving our pets here knowing that there is TWO licensed vet technicians on staff and VERY knowledgeable and experienced kennel technicians as well. Beautiful facility and the Groomers do a gorgeous job!! Every dog leaves looking super spiffy

Had my dog stay there a couple days, and I can tell the staff are truly passionate about animal welfare. My baby had such a good time, you could tell!I'm very picky about who I trust my dog with, and I would 100% recommend them to anyone who wants their pets well taken care, and for such reasonable pricing!! ❤️DEFINITELY using them again

I would never board my cats anywhere else. Kaytie and the rest of the staff went above and beyond to make sure that my cats were happy and comfortable while I went on vacation. Even though their prices are increasing, I will continue to trust my cat's care to the staff at Stonington. Because of the exceptional care I knew my cats were receiving, I was able to completely relax and enjoy my vacation Up North. That feeling of complete trust is priceless and I will gladly pay more next time knowing that those fees are helping Stonington to give my babies the best care in Genesee County! Thank you, Stonington! My cats love you and I do too!

So grateful for Stonington! Our dogs have been going there for the past 2 years and they have always been great. during their most recent stay, Katelynn and Tracy went above and beyond to get my dog’s medication that she ran out of due to me not ordering the right amount before my trip. I didn’t even ask, they just called me and offered to take care of it. It shows that they truly care about the animals who stay there, and it makes me feel really good that I’m leaving my pups with them. I also board my cat there and their cat room is very nice!

I was so nervous about boarding my 6 year old Labrador for the first time ever. He loves being outside. I did a lot of research on kennels. I loved that Stonington Kennels provided fenced in areas for the dogs to play outside. Thank you so much for taking care of my baby boy!!

I absolutely love this kennel. They are so accommodating, tender, loving and attentive with my dogs. The facility is spacious, clean and big. I get anxiety leaving my dogs since they are essentially my “kids”. Tracy and her staff will gladly send updates and pics of my babies which makes me so happy knowing how much fun they are having there. I know they are always in good hands. They did a great job boarding my Lab. I'd use them again. I bought my dog the bath and brush. It was nice to pick her up smelling fresh and clean. I think I found her a new groomer. This place!

Was referred by someone I know. I'm apprehensive about leaving my dog places because he had some socialization issues due to the pandemic and can be reactive/afraid. We had recently moved, and I didn't know who to call to board our dog while we were away. They did a great job of taking care of our somewhat anxious and attached doodle. Will definitely be boarding here from now on.

Awesome facility and staff! Prices are reasonable. It's a little out of the way from where I live but worth the drive. My dog Piper loves going there and I know I'm leaving her in good hands when we drop her off. Have used Stonington for grooming & boarding. Highly recommend!

When I was sick in the hospital Tracey and her husband drove to my home, and got my dogs out of the basement where they were locked up. They cleaned up the mess and kept the dogs safe and fed until I got out six days later. I have boarded our dogs there for years and I will use Stonington for the rest of their lives. You will never have to worry about leaving your pet. They are angels and their staff is outstanding.

I get my dog groomed and boarded at Stonington. Have been for years now. Love this place! I wouldn't leave my guy anywhere else!! Thankful to have them when we go out of town. When we went away for 10 days for our wedding they even sent pictures and video chatted us so I could see our doggie lol highly recommend 👍🏻

Absolutely the best kennel I’ve ever been to. I had 27 dogs in my life and the five that I currently have love this place and so did my husband and I. Tracy and her staff are the best. I highly recommend the groomer she superb. They are truly dog people.

My dog Charlie loves Stonington Kennels, and so do I! He drags me inside, and likes to give kisses to the staff. It makes me feel good knowing that Charlie is happy and not nervous when he is visiting Stonington, whether for a couple of days or longer. It is a clean and well-managed kennel, and they really love and enjoy their four-legged guests!And I would like to add that the groomer is top-notch as well!
