One of my favorite places Up North! Excellent selection and value, even great selection of gifts. The service is first rate and friendly. I love their nursery, even more now that it has expanded. Nursery stock is excellent, healthy and priced right. Super-affordable delivery.

Northwoods is pricey... but they have what you need when you need it most, and that is well worth it. A trip to TC to pay 2 bucks less for a plunger or a bag of screws, will never be worth 2 hours lost on the lake with family. Great selection for a small store and awesome staff!

Northwood Hardware is the best hardware I have been to. Their hardware has everything and it is meticulous. The garden center is awesome but every year they add to the garden center and it is fairly priced and incredible choices. They even have a rental are to rent any tool you might need and they have a large grill space that has a great assortment of Weber grills at every price point. They best best part of Northwood hardware is their staff. They are knowledgeable and efficient and kind and patient with all my projects. They even deliver all the heavy items I buy and recently delivered a new grill and took the old grill away!! Amazing. Many thanks to Jeff and Kyle and the staff!!!!

Surprisingly, for a small town, this business understands its customer base, in this mostly-seasonal, up-scale village. At the same time, it does not ignore the year-round residents, which is reflected in its hours of operation throughout the year.Its selection and variety of items it carries is wide, but you will not find “everything” here. But I have found that if it’s important to get right now, and they don’t have the exact item, they usually have an acceptable substitute. Besides it beats a 50-mile round trip to Traverse City.Even though it’s billed as a hardware store they have many small, specialty departments - such as office supplies and wrapping/packing materials.My only wish would be for them to be a full-service UPS or FEDEX drop off location.

Great, small town store. Just purchased a home and are renovating. Friendly and knowledgeable staff who take the time to know you. Surprisingly, their pricing and inventory far surpass the big box stores in TC.

This is a great little hardware store. Try here before heading to the Home Depot in Traverse. Odds are they’ll have what you need at a price not far off the price in Traverse, and you’ll avoid the trip and the time spent.
