Clean and friendly staff. BUT...stupid expensive. This market is taking full advantage of being the only store in the area to offer all your grocery needs. I'm not from the area, but when we do visit, we usually stock up at a Walmart on our way up. If we forget something, we dread having to go to Gladwins only grocery store, Family Fare.

I do a lot of grocery shopping there. I get my cat treats and food there also a good selection. Some things are a little pricey. Friendly service

Great employees that get dogged on by lousy store directors. I see a lack of morale from upper management. That is NOT how you keep employees. But maybe they like a high turn over rate so they can keep picking on people who aren’t aware of their true colors.

If you like to have to move to self checkout because there is only one slowly moving line open, 3 employees standing around, manager walking into their office smiling at their phone, then this is the place for you! It takes a lot for me to leave a review and I’ve come to the point that I avoid this place because the checkout experience is consistently the same.

Never greeted in the store. Options are limited and the options that are available are all very expensive. Not many options in Gladwin though but still I'm going to be honest. Just all around not a very good grocery store 🤷

Clean. Has professional and helpful staff. The produce section is kept up with new produce daily. Asked numerous staff for help and other questions and they all were very pleasant and helpful. Support your hometown grocery store.

Nice store usually can get in and out quickly. However I shop there around 6pm 3-4 times a week and try to purchase half and half and the shelf is always empty. I realize the dairy person is not there at that time but management should be checking all departments for empty spots.

I absolutely love Family Fare. I have been to 3 or 4, liked them all. Employees have been friendly and helpful, good selection, not always a variety like Walmart or Meijer, but unlike those 2 shelves are stocked. This location was great.

Very rude supervisor. Not customer friendly. Would never ever think about talking to someone the way they talked to my daughter.I would never shop there again. I’ve always shopped there in the past and could not believe they would entertain that type of behavior as management

Prices are a bit higher than Walmart but the store is also a lot nicer. My main complaint is that the other grocery chains don't accept or even expect tips for their employees who do the shopping for curbside pickup orders, but FF outright asks for a tip for their shoppers in the app. That really adds up, especially When the other stores offer this service for free and you either have to buy a subscription with family fair or pay per shop. The employees are generally great at this particular FF though

Family Fare charges $6.99/pound for macaroni and cheese from the deli, while Meijer charges only $3.99/pound. This means a little pint of macaroni and cheese from Family Fare's deli can be nearly $8.00. Save your money customers, as you can buy an entire meal from McDonalds for that much, or get a box of Kraft mac and cheese from Walmart for $1 as it yields more and tastes better than Family Fare's over-priced mac & cheese.

This is just not right, this happened to my poor dad with COPD.Family Fare in Gladwin needs to give their workers more hours or hire more people. Today my husband who doesn’t shop very often stopped there to get a dozen donuts and got very frustrated. The store was busy. There was about 10 people in line ahead of him. He waited 20 minutes and it was his turn and the cashier said ”Sorry I’m closed”. There were still about 4 people behind him. This is so wrong. He just left his cart there and left the store. This is bad store policy. He is a senior citizen and doesn’t believe in self check out or know how to use it. 😡😡😡

The selection of items is great actually, especially for being in such a small town!It’s a one stop shop! Get food & candles & dog food & water toys & plates all in one sway!Prices are decent too.Good selection of vegetarian foods in the frozen section too (love the veggie burgers & cheese ravioli)Did I mention that I love the self check out???& every employee was friendly and in a good mood! Love it!!!

They hired one young man with a short brown hair up he is not doing proper job he asked my last name not proper. he never says sorry when he puts my foods away not put it in a bag i had to put my foods in several bags by myself hurried while other customer's foods and my foods mixed up i told him wait! He did not wait. i reported it to a manager. I surprise he is still working at there. I have to scan each foods by myself less problems. Other night he walked too close to me and took my cart. I dont like when he is too close to me I avoid him. I wish he knows how to be NICE and RESPECTFUL to me and people too. he should treat ALL people equal no matter what deaf, blind, disability, etcs. I hopefully someday he realizes and makes things better.

I used to work at this location. At least one or two of the bottle machines worked half the time( I can't stand bottle machines because of this place). Store director needs to treat customers better. I only go there if I need to or see a couple of the people I used to work with.

Good selection and friendly staff. Was seeking cupcakes for my daughter's birthday and could not find any with out the cupcakes being tipped in the container. Price is a little higher than some other places but for most items the quality is worth it.

Every thing was way over priced we were going to get cereal for preschool class but it was 5.69 per box! Also the bathrooms were unclean and oddly enough hot. It was at least 80 degrees (Fahrenheit) and the toilet seat slid off. And the service was fine.

Wouldn't return cans from soda I bought there.Update went in to buy pineapple there were some that were about to expire best buy date I asked if they reduce them and was told no we just throw them away. Kinda bad business that might be why there prices are so high. Poor business practices.

Regarding the short haired lady working behind the customer service desk 06/12/22-asked for change (quarters) for a one dollar bill to get my daughter a bouncy ball fromYOUR STORES quarter ball machines.Instead of a simple no she responded back with a rude “no one in this store is going to give you change, we don’t do that here and no one will do that for YOU!”Ended up finding a quarter in my purse, and while getting a ball from YOUR ball machine I was getting stared down and dirty looks from her all while standing behind your customer service desk.Considering that your working “customer service “ you should probably act respectfully while working for “customer service”.

Fairly pricey and to to be eligible for any type of sale or deal going on in the store you have to purchase a membership reward card if you don't buy the card / membership it's full price for everything and it's fairly expensive compared to other places even with their sales and deals.
