More quality tackle and gear than you'll see in the big name stores. Great selection for anything and everything ice fishing related. And the staff was awesome. They're up to date on current ice conditions in the area as they check it themselves. Definitely will visit again when I'm in the area to go fishin.

They had everything we need in bait shop to get us set up on the ice for two night. We rented one of his shacks, he brought us to where the fish we’re biting, kept us updated with fishing reports, ran us supplies when needed.Blade an staff went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and catching fish. Couldn’t ask for better service, felt like we were at an all inclusive resort in Mexico. Will definitely be back.

I stopped there with my buddy who was also a tackle shop manager and they were super friendly and forthcoming about current conditions, and baits that were working well. We absolutely hammered the fish. They had some beavers lures which are pretty hard to find, completely loaded on any ice gear you could imagine. Got a nice strikemaster case for my batteries.

For anyone who knows me knows I am a die hard fly fisherman but as the days are getting shorter and winter is setting in I reached out to a friend who is an avid walleye fisherman (Tyler) among other fishing that he does. He recommended Blades in Gladstone. So I took a Ride to Blades and I will say that I was greeted almost immediately by both of the owners. They were eager to help and set me up with what I asked for. Blades bait and tackle is a great ice fishing location! They have everything including bate that you would want. The owners are very helpful and friendly! My husband and kids stop almost every time we drive to Kipling. I purchased a fish bait cooler with air compressor that was battery powered. It keeps the fish alive, air rated and cool. My husband loves it! Thank you!

The best bait & tackle spot I've been in in 20 years. We stopped in, bought bait, and a little tackle asked where the fish were. They didn't hesitate to send us right to them. Unbelievable selection in the store had everything Clam makes and much more.

This is the start of what's going to be a great bait shop. As they grow, they will be the place to get your tackle and live bait. Very clean and friendly lady at the counter today. I wish them well and will be getting all my bait and tackle I need while I'm up fishing here at Little Bay for walleyes.

Great! First off easy to find. Owner help us with bail and spot to fish. Gives daily ice reports on his facebook page. Only bait shop i found with awesome hours. Local bait shops by where i live opens at 7 blades opens at 4 or 5 am

Drove from Flint to Iron Mountain to pick up a dog and called Blades to check ice on Little Bay; Blade answered and was as friendly and helpful as could be!Stopped in and was greeted by Lacy and two super cute dogs and got good healthy bait. 👌🏻 And more helpful info on ice conditions.To top the night off, was making the drag back and just happened to get a pull of the ice by a kind stranger.... it was Blade!Awesome people and great shop, will definitely be back up to fish and maybe rent one of the nice tents Blade offers! 10/5 stars!

Took an adventure up to little bay de noc over the weekend. Upon our arrival we stumbled upon Blades Bait and Tackle in Kipling Michigan and decided to check it out. As soon as you walk in you are welcomed by Red and Cedar (loveable labs) and owners Blade and Lacy. We didn't even know this bait shop existed before our arrival because its new, and its the only bait shop around that you can get bait after hours!! These guys will go above and beyond for you. We were out on our sled on little bay de noc and halfway to our fishing spot, and we ran out of oil and Blade came out on the lake and brang us some. We found ourselves stopping in by them every day of our trip sometimes for hours talking and I'm so glad we found this place because we also found our new friends! If you need bait, tackle, or any fishing accessories, stop by Blades Bait and Tackle, if they don't have it they will do their best to get it! They deserve more than 5 stars. Nicest bait shop I’ve been in. Everything inside shop was brand new. Blade was super friendly and willing to help you out with what you need. Everytime other bait shops didn’t have bait blade always was stocked with fresh minnows.

Overall great experience. Blade took great care of us and we were very surprised how comfortable we were on the ice for 3 nights. Fishing was slow but that's fishing.
