We were looking last minute for a place to stay for a weekend getaway. I came across Waters Inn & booked the room! We were heading up north from the Detroit area after work on a Friday, so arrived just about 11pm. We still recieved great service. The room was very clean & cozy. Would definitely consider staying here again on a trip up north!

Very old school, no-frills kind of place, but quiet & clean. Owner Bob is friendly. I'd give it 4 stars if it had central air and a bigger bathroom.Rooms: Rooms are wood paneled and have different fishing and hunting themes.

Brought a group up from Missouri first weekend of February. we were all 1 st time snowmobilers. Waters Inn was great fit the bill perfectly. Bob was great to set things up with. We did this last May We had every room so we could all hang out in the evening and didn’t bother a soul. Thanks for the good time and great memories.

This is a great little place to stay, but be warned, if you're a big guy showers may be an issue. The outside is beautiful. Landscaping well kept, just a beautiful place. The room, was also really nice, you look close you could see blemishes from the past, but well covered. The worst part, probably the shower. Very small. There's no escaping the water to wash, and as mentioned bigger people like myself will struggle. I had to have my wife help, not enough room to bend. The bed, although many probably may not like, I did. It was hard, also kind of lumpy but I like a harder mattress.Did have a flat screen, small fridge and microwave. If you're looking for a nice Mom & Pop type place, I'd recommend it. Keep in mind the bathroom and shower are tiny.

So this place is ALWAYS $99. It's small and dated but completely clean and functional. The shower works great and parking is ample. Manager was very helpful. Nice bar across the street and a convenience store / gas station next door. Will stay again. Good location for up north day trips. Very up north themed rooms for extra fun!

This place is a Mom and Pop motel. It is super clean and has great value. My wife, baby, and I were in one of the smaller rooms, so it was a bit cramped, but we just needed a place to rest our head and get ready in the morning before hitting the road. I would recommend stopping here when traveling. $90/night beats paying triple digits at other hotels...and this is a step up from some other places. Definitely would come again.

I'm a little surprised by the great reviews on here. We travel alot and don't have particularly high standards for a room costing $100. We got there to check in and had to call to have someone come over from the bar across the street. We were given a key, had to ask specifically for wifi password. I tried to run back right after we went into the room as there was basically no toilet paper, but the guy was already back at the bar...fortunately there was a pile of TP in the open lobby. We stayed in the fishing room. It looked nice enough. The bathroom very small, but workable. My husband and I are not big people and I do question how a large person would shower at all. It was clean enough. Definitely needs a good deep cleaning, but nothing offensive. FYI there is also no housekeeping (which we prefer anyway) so no new towels, noone will make your bed.Our major complaint was the bed. This may be the worst bed we have ever slept in. One side sagged down so much that it was impossible to sit on that side of the bed. We felt that this could have been overcome by having more than 1 pillow each. I inquired and was told "sorry, we don't have extra pillows". We spent 3 pretty sleepless nights here. We could also hear the person in the next room snoring.Would spend the extra $30 and stay in Gaylord in the future.

Great cozy place. A nice get away from your typical chain hotels. Each room has a different theme and character. Rooms are a little smaller thab what you might be used to in a normal hotel but would comfortable sleep 4. Nice location and overall enjoyable stay.

What a great hometown personal experience. Bob and Maggie ( a beautiful dog ) greeted us outside. The room was cozy comfortable with all the hometown little touches... From microwave popcorn to the historical books of the area in the room, to do you need anything basket in the lobby ( razors, and other personal products )...&.. across the street a little gem of a place serves food and cocktails... Now you can stay the exits before or after have chain hotels.. but you want to remember the guys name and the place you stayed you want to stop here. Their personal and really care about your stay.*****

Stayed here this past weekend while snowmobiling. Great price and the room was very clean and comfortable. Right across the street from the trails so it's easy on and off. Had a blast and will absolutely come back!

Small, but reminded me of a cabin. LOVED that. We had the “bear room” and our friends had the “fish room” both were really cute, clean and accommodating for us. We had maps for the trails, menus and even a little popcorn bag. Our room had a lazy boy, which was perfect. It worked for the purpose as we went to ride for the weekend so we werent in there much. We were able to park our sleds up front and no one messed with anything! Heck, we had our door open most of the time and we felt safe. Even met the cute little fur baby- who was VERY friendly. Bar across the road(dont expect good service there) but it was convenient. PRIME RIB IS WHERE ITS AT THERE. And trails right behind it. Along with a gas station basically right there. If we come back up that way, we WILL stay there again.

Perfect for when I make flying trips to Gaylord and Grayling. Avoid the madness that is that one exit in Gaylord. I like that this motel is just one block from a multi-use trail running all the way to Mackinaw City. I often throw a bike onto the car rack when I travel, and having options to ride is important to me.Rooms are small and quaint - and creatively decorated. This property appears to be a motel from the 1960s that's been well maintained and kept up. Rooms are not as soundproof as in modern motels. Room keys are actually keys. Bathrooms are tiny.I'll be keeping this motel on my short list for future trips. The proximity of the bike trail is a big plus.

Absolutely amazing place!! I have no idea why anyone would give less than 5 stars. The staff is the best staff i have ever dealt with. The rooms are immaculate. They even go so far as to leave a special wash cloth for us woman to remove our make-up. My husband travels for a living and i go with him alot and this was the best hotel we have ever stayed at. They dont have a 5 star breakfast or those other un needed things but there is an awesome restaurant right across the street. We dont ever eat the breakfast in hotels anyway. And its ALWAYS the same rate. Which is cheaper than most hotels smallest rooms. In closing I love this little chunk of heaven. You guys have now gotten customers for life!!!
