I just had a really bad experience with Rob at the Meyer Ace hardware, I asked him a simple question about how they fill their propane, because they don't weigh it before they fill it, only after, so how do they KNOW how much they put in and they're charging you for? He kept trying to give me money off, but I was just wondering how they do it, and he flew off the handle. and I was yelled at and told to go somewhere else and threatened. I'm just taken back right now, that was very unprofessional and really childish, if you can't answer one question without losing it, maybe you shouldn't have that job? while I was speaking to the manager he stood there antagonizing me and my wife and walking by making comments, and then suggesting calling the cops on me, I mean just so unprofessional. I asked a simple question because I had never seen it done that way before, and he totally took it personally.

The person who helped me told me all kinds of WRONG information and directed me to the wrong products for what I was trying to do. If an employee is new or doesn't know and answer, fine, but don't lie to the customer. This cost me 3 additional trips total in order to return items to them and then drive to other stores who had what I ACTUALLY needed. Shame on you, employee. Do Better!

Very disgusted! A customer left his dog in his car in 90 degree weather, i kept checking on her because she had no water and sun coming through the windshield when I went in and complained to the manager she said she'd ask around, about 5 minutes later a man came out locked his door and went back inside! I had been sitting there 20 minutes so I called animal control who said they would cone right out , finally after 34 minutes the "customer" come out with the manager laughing and proceeded to stand at the van for another few minutes chatting! Great customer service there ! Someone needs to talk to her about animal neglect ! Sadly animal control didn't make it in time to handle the situation 😡

Joe helped me alot at the store in Gaylord.He helped me find my screws I needed for at least 15 min. That's why we shop at Ace instead of home Depot or Lowe's bc of the good customer service.

My car broke down on the interstate just miles from this place. I limped in trying to diagnose and fix the problem. The staff was more than helpful. The people here are very generous and thoughtful. Go check them out and please tell them I cannot thank them enough!!! 10 STARS

Went to get 20# propane cylinders TOPPED OFF none of them were empty! While filling the tanks I noticed that the gallons meter was not running so I asked how they knew how much propane I got? He said we weigh the tanks. He did not weigh the tanks prior to filling only after they were done filling, So how do you know how much I had before filling?? Got charged for 50#'s of propane when I probably only got 30#'s. I will go elsewhere from now on.

Would NOT HONOR Craftsmen tool guarantee!!!!Old woman at cash register said broken ratchet had to be EXACTLY IDENTICAL to the one I was wanting to replace even though 2 employees said they DO NOT make this style any longer . MANAGER ( son? ) backed her up . NEVER had this problem at LOWES ( or Sears ) . I guess these owners , Meyers , think screwing us“ up north “ people line up with their fudgie down state values .. DO NOT PATRONIZE these losers

It still looks the same on the outside, but they have done wonders with the inside and made it look so much better. The crew there seems to actually want to be there and help customers out if you can’t find it on your own. The CSR’s seem to actually know what they’re talking about when they make suggestions about a project you may be working on. This is also a veteran friendly place. It’s the same The same discount as going to Lowes or Home Depot. All three carries her own brand of products even though all the tools are the same just under different names.

I know it sounds trivial/trite but they have the best brooms. I have also bought a lawnmower from them at a steal of a deal price. Their staff is friendly and we'll informed.
