They have a wide variety of animals and you can tell they take care of them. Workers want to help and make sure you have everything needed for the arrival of a new friend. I respect them for the fact that they want proof that you have a cage or setup before adopting any animal. I am really happy with my buddy Mango and appreciate them for taking well care of him. Will definitely be back one day.

This place is amazing! It was amazing back when I was a child and I'm glad to know that despite all of The difficulties they faced they still not only have a clean, safe, beautiful environment for their animals but are in business and thriving. Every single pet shop in the state needs to take tips from them. The love and care they have for these creatures is exactly what every pet shop should display bar none. Definitely get your animals, Your equipment, your advice from these people. I have been all over this state and I have seen no one and nothing better then this shop. I would give them a million stars if I could

I will never go to a big name pet store ever again!! I LOVE House of Pets! I randomly found the store from a Google search and decided to check it out since it was so close to me. One of the employees (I am so very sorry I didn’t catch your name) was SO helpful in taking the time and walking me through setting up my first bioactive enclosure and first Gargoyle Gecko. I was also super impressed to find out that he (and others) were hatched & raised at the location! They have a HUGE assortment of feeder insects, and I will be coming here again and again for my reptiles! MASSIVE THANK YOU!! 💖

I’ve been going to House of Pets for quite some time now for feeders and other supplies for my scaly babies. Yesterday was my first pet purchase and I can already say I’m thrilled with how well they take care of their animals and they really know their stuff! The hedgehog I purchased is already fairly social and transitioning smoothly to her new home. Small things like socializing can be lost especially when you have so many animals in your care so I was very pleasantly surprised when ‘Boo’ was already pretty confident even after being moved around and transported home. Keep up the great work, I’ll be seeing you again soon!

We purchased a jumping spider from here a few months ago. The spider is doing wonderfully. We're already planning what new pets we should get from here. Staff is very knowledgeable. Clean store woth healthy, well taken care of animals. Highly recommend.

I LOVE this shop! There are so many pets to love from exotic reptiles to fuzzy bunnies! My kids love the fish tanks, and the staff are truly great people! Very friendly and helpful with loads of knowledge. I can't tell you how many times I've asked them questions, and they have had the answers! Get your pets and supplies here you'll be happy you went!

Please make sure you are purchasing pets from a pet shop that guarantees the health of the animals as this pet shop does not! We purchased a Hedgehog from House of Pets in November 2023 that was 4 months old for our none verbal son. We noticed our Hedgehog having difficulty eating from day one. We took our hedgehog to our vet two weeks after we got her and found out she had cancer behind both eyes, which was noticeable due to bulging of her left eye. This cancer quickly spread and ruptured into her mouth and pushed all of her teeth out of one side of her mouth. We had to feed her with a tube until she was put down at 8 months old. Our Vet said this hedgehog should have never had cancer at such a young age and the pet shop should have never sold this animal knowing it had been born with these issues as the eye was clearly not normal when we purchased it but being new to hedgehogs we had no way of knowing about it at the time. I called them and they told me that cancer was extremely common in hedgehogs and they are not shocked by it at all but would be happy to sell us another one. Please be extremely careful who you buy a Hedgehog from as this is not a common birth defect and the pet shop should have never sold this hedgehog knowing it was born with birth defect. We trusted them to sell us a healthy animal but instead had been completely let down in the worst way possible. I will not go into how this effected our son but you can only imagine that it was very traumatizing to him and our family. We have since purchased a replacement hedgehog for our son from a breeder that guarantees the hedgehogs from having birth defects and cancer caused mainly by inbreeding of hedgehogs. Yes, it is completely true that these animals can get cancer but this take many years to show up. No they are never born with it and have it rapidly grow as it did in our hedgehogs case. Please be very careful who you trust your hedgehog purchase with as the cost in veterinary care alone was almost 2k dollars. We would have never purchased this animal had we ever known how bad this experience was going to be.

The manager was incredibly informative and helpful! She assisted me in purchasing a pacman frog and enclosure and I was very impressed with her customer service. Their prices are a tad higher, but they offset that with excellent service and knowledge. They have an excellent assortment of frogs, reptiles, fish, and small critters. I've seen some very unqiue exotic animals here on multiple occasions.Highly recommended!

I can't remember the young lady's name who assisted with information for a bearded dragon for my daughter, but her patience and knowledge was amazing. Very refreshing to receive this type of personalized service. The entire staff was friendly and helpful. I highly recommend House of Pets!

Purchased two red eyed tree frogs, and I was very pleased at how knowledgeable Rachel was! She said I could call if I have any questions once I bring them home. Little did I know I had to call her the next day because one of my tree frogs changed color and she reassured me that it was probably a temperature change that caused one of my frogs to change. Once I brought the temperature up in the tank, my frog changed immediately back to his bright green color . The store was clean and they have a variety of animals to choose from. Their cricket prices are also cheaper in comparison to large chain pet stores. Very Happy with House of Pets!

This is the best reptile and amphibian shop I've ever been to. The employees are knowable and helpful. They have a wide selection of creatures and products. They helped me create a bioactive setup and gave me all the info I needed to keep a gargoyle gecko. I will continue to make the 30 minute drive to shop at this store.

Very nice pet store. Friendly and helpful employees. H.O.P has a variety of pet's from fish,birds,snakes,hamsters,cats and more.We went in to get our Teddy Bear Hamster some Food,Snacks and things for her cage. Prices are much better than a couple other pet stores we've been to so this had been our new place to go. It's also nice to have this pet store close to go to in our area

We went to this store on a recommendation and we are glad we did! They have a wide variety of items for sale for many types of exotic animals. All the animals had nice enclosures clean enclosures and what looked like proper diets, especially for birds. I've also never seen a pet store actually have the requirement to approve enclosures before selling an animal.The staff was helpful and answered all of our questions as well! We will for sure he back.

One of my favorite pet stores. The only downfall is the smell of rodents and their bedding when you enter through the front door. But I still travel 45 minutes to visit from time to time.

I have a soon to be, 25yr old Sun Conure, needing a Nail Clip & maybe a Wing trim. All of the Avian Vets are Highway Robbery, just $92++ for a Wellness exam, then add price for trims.I paid $15 for the Nails & for both it would be $25... Tweetie was in & out, feeling much better & my Wallet too!!

House of Pets is everything an exotics store should be! I drive 40 min to come here for feeders and supplies, and it's totally worth it. They actually care about who their animals go to and are super informative for people unsure of what they want. You'll also get to see a lot of exotic animals in excellent condition; it's clear that they take great care of the animals there. Everything is always clean and a lot of the reptiles are active. Top of the line supplies especially for your reptiles/amphibians, too. Purchased a blue-eyed Lucy ball python from them today, and he's just perfect!! Thanks for caring about animals <3 P.S. I named him Bones.

I went in there looking to buy a pet one of the staff had a parrot on her shoulder I asked her how much, with the WORST attitude ever and an very degrading look in her face, just shuts me up and tells me “not for sale”. Honestly if she would’ve just been nice and told me “not for sale” and showed me to the birds that were for sale and talked to me about the birds I would’ve had no problem. But while I was leaving she kept giving dirty looks. VERY uncalled for especially since my mom and I walked in speaking Spanish!

Love this pet shop, this is the place to go if you want an exotic pet. I got my reticulated python here and I was well pleased by the knowledge of the staff. They helped me pick out all the stuff I needed to help my snake to be comfortable.
