Our dog gets super excited whenever we drop him off here. The staff love animals and you can tell by the way they remember his name and are visibly excited to see him. Our putbull has had nothing but good experiences staying here. We find the pricing reasonable as well.

Top notch, high standards. Always smells clean in the lobby, the kennels outside are very clean. The staff is friendly and love animals. They are safe when handling my girl. She gets excited when we pull in to drop her off. Kirk did some training with my dog when she was a puppy, as well. His techniques work well.

Everyone there is very professional and friendly. You can tell they really enjoy working there. The animals are in good, caring hands.Their facility is clean, even in the kennel area.Boarding school dogs are worked with love. It's very apparent the trainers are good at what they do. After staying for just 1 weekend my dog fell sick. When I went to pick up the dog they had no clue when or if they had fed the dog. They almost never pick up the phone when you call. Don't punish your pet by sending here.

I would recommend boarding and training here. Staff is always friendly and takes the time to get to know your animals to make them feel comfortable. Facilities are always clean and cared for. Kirk Gillette is an amazing trainer and extremely knowledge about dogs. This is the only boarding and training place I will use or recommend to anyone. Thank you, Gillette Kennels!

We've boarded our 2 dogs multiple times now at Gillette, and they've always come home happy and healthy! Best of all, the last time I was dropping our dogs off, I was in line behind a staff member of Gillette, who was also leaving *her* dogs there for the weekend. You know they do a good job when someone who knows how they work "behind the scenes" trusts the place to care for their own fur babies! 😁

My dog Mercury boarded at Gillette Kennels for the 1st time. He seemed comfortable as soon as I let him out of the car. (Not Normal for him) & when I returned to get him, he was just like I left him. I have been a client of Gillette Kennels for more than 15 years and I wouldn’t go anywhere else. I have used their kennels for my dogs and cat, boarding school and obedience training classes. They are competitively priced, and I think you get the best care for your pets with them. Kirk Gillette is a hands-on owner who really takes a genuine interest to make sure your pet’s stay is to your satisfaction.The office and training associates are very friendly, knowledgeable and extremely helpful. They are precise and detailed-oriented with their accounts and record keeping activities. Most of the information I have needed, I am able to find on their website which is very comprehensive and then just verified, if necessary, upon confirmation or check-in.Boarding facilities are spacious, well maintained and very clean. Kennel sizes are more than adequate with private outside runs for each kennel. I love the rent-a-bed option they offer (one thing less for me to worry about). The room where cats are boarded is very bright and sunny with windows for the cats.Best recommendation I can make is that my pets love this place and the people there! Sometimes I think they’d rather stay there than come home with me.

Kirk Gillette is running a stellar facility and business. My dog was having issues with leash reactivity. I've been to 2 other trainers without much success. My first impression was great, and things only improved from there. It was easy to make an appointment, and since we were going for private sessions I was surprised how accommodating the receptionist was to meet my schedule.Kirk is an excellent and patient trainer. He is very informed and has decades of experience training dogs and teaching handlers. Best of all he explains what to do to correct a problem and demonstrates it with the dog. Then you, the handler, practice the exercise with his supervision. Kirk is so patient, and very easy to work with. (I wasn't at all sure what it would be like to have a male trainer working with us. It was really a fun experience, and not at all intimidating.)The environment is spotless. I've walked the indoor ring several times and it smells fresh and clean. I toured the kennels and runs, from the outside. They are sparkling. The boarded dogs seem happy and had lots of room to run, and also had a warm, cozy shelter to get out of the elements. The surrounding land is country, with pretty views and lots of clean fresh air.I have no hesitation to recommend Gillette's for training and for boarding.Happy Customer.

My dog is trained here and boards here where I travel. Kirk is a great trainer and it's clear that he has a lot of experience and really understands dogs. My dog is always happy when he goes there, and happy when he leaves. The staff are extremely friendly, helpful, and attentive. We took private obedience lessons to begin with and though scheduling was a bit tough at the beginning since Kirk is so busy, once we got going we saw immediate results after the first few classes. Just signed up for intermediate obedience and looking forward to it!

I recently boarded 2 large dogs here for several days. For a small additional fee, they exercised my dogs daily. They also gave me an update on how they were doing during their stay and I got a report card when I picked them up.

We have used Gillette a couple of time now, and we just booked a suite for our two dogs to stay there in July while we go on vacation for a week. Our dogs were excited when we pulled into the driveway and were in great shape both times we picked them up. The best part is, they get to stay together in the same kennel. They were happy and clean and did not show any signs of distress. All the young ladies who work there seem to be great animal lovers and appear to really love their job. I'm very grateful I found a relable and safe place for my puppies.

Excellent training classes. Kirk is knowledgeable and experienced. I’ve taken multiple dogs through his puppy, basic obedience and canine good citizen classes, all of which were so helpful; I learn something new every time. Listen carefully and do what he instructs and you’ll be amazed at the results. Boarding our dogs here has also been great.

This is our 1st choice when we need to leave our fur baby! Super clean, friendly and professional. Love the check in/out process *if you're a newbie to Gillette you leave your dog and check in alone and then they'll come get them outside*. Highly recommend these folks!

When asking around for recommendations on puppy training, Gillette Kennels was suggested by numerous people. We chose to do private lessons and were very satisfied with our experience. The facility is very large and I could see it being very effective for group lessons. I never would have thought I could have such a well trained dog so early. Kirk has many years of experience under his belt and it shows. He gave us the tools to form a solid training foundation that will provide us years of happy companionship with our dog.

Service is good, but a little pricey. My three dogs seem to have interacted with staff quite a bit. They did seem stressed after a week, and shed a ton when I picked them up, but I do not think that was the fault of the kennel.

We have used this kennel periodically over two years and will not be trusting them with the care of our dog again. Initially, we had no complaints and were grateful to have found this kennel as family friends could no longer care for her during trips. This year, our dog was not fed one of the 3-4 days she was there on a previous stay. I was told we must have provided too many food bags (I provide exactly what she needs). This past weekend she was only fed her dinner 1 of the 3 days she was there. Every check in we use the same instructions, glucosamine treat in am and dinner in pm. What I provide is marked and packaged separately. No excuses acceptable.

Recently had our puppy in boarding school at Gillette. This was an excellent investment. Our dog made vast improvements during the 3 week stay. Kirk provided a training session and demo for us when we picked him up. He even included a DVD further showing what the dog had learned. This is the second dog we have trained with Kirk.

We absolutely love Gillette Kennels! They have been watching our dog, Ruppert, since he was a puppy, and think they do a great job. They treat him like their own, and I feel like they do a wonderful job of keeping the facility clean as well. 5+ Stars!!
