As I was driving threw Galesburg, I noticed a sign for Galesburg Meat Company. I stopped and purchased two Filet Mignon Steaks.When I was ready to cook them, I opened the sealed packaging and took them out. They did not look like a Filet Mignon, but looked like a Sirloin, but I figured I might be wrong. Cooked them, and the texture and flavor was definetly not Filet Mignon, but that of a Sirloin.SHAME ON YOU, SELLING SIRLOIN FOR THE PRICE OF A FILET MIGNON.I WILL NOT BUY ANYTHING ELSE FROM THEM.

Completely satisfied with their service.We have been calling around to get pork trimmings to make hunter sticks. No one around us would answer their phone, return our calls, or they didn't have pork. GMC was phenomenal at answering our questions and quick to get us our product when we arrived. They are just under an hour drive and I will definitely be making the drive when we need more! They also have a much larger selection then the place we normally go to so we will be ordering from them when we need more meat.

I just discovered Galesburg Meat Company, and have only been their three times so far. I love their ground beef and beef jerky, but yesterday a bought smoked pork chops … I added a little rub to them and grilled them on my Traeger … flat out the best chops I have ever had! Not kidding!I will be back again and again!

Amazing selection, decent prices. Picked up a variety of beef cuts and paid about $55, hamburgers smoked up on the grill very nicely. Super friendly staff. Defenitly going to be my #1 place to go to for meat cuts.

Best meat you can buy around. Purchasing meat from Walmart or Meijer is a thing of the past. Great options and everything is vacuum sealed. Makes storing for the month easy and the food is much more fresh. Family owned business. Spend on average 250 a month for a family of 3.

We got 3 kinds of brats, skirt, dry aged t-bones, bacon and a few other cuts and everything was genuinely amazing. I plan to restock the freezer with another visit soon. I appreciate them wearing masks to respect the community and I will respect them by continuing to give them my business.

i went there for the best meat bundle deal ! i spend $117 and receive nearly $150 worth of high quality meats ! i would suggest if you are feeding a large family like mine its the best value i have found by far with lots of varieties. their were a few item included in the bundle i know my family doesn't like and they are more than willing to exchange that item with another choice ! I AM A SATISFIED CUSTOMER ! I WILL BE SHOPPING THERE AGAIN.........prices have gone up a bit after pandemic but what hasn't...

I sincerely appreciate the quality you guys deliver! Amazing tasting bacon and breakfast sausage from the boar my son shot that we had processed by Galesburg Meat Company...so good!! And I'm even more happy that these passed the test with my young daughters! Better prices than grocery stores and the meat is SO MUCH BETTER!Since my initial review I’ve had the chance to try their BACON SAUSAGE, and their BACON HAMBURGER. Do I really need to say more?Their products are locally sourced and quite amazing. The porterhouse steaks are the most tender I’ve ever had.

Used them for my wedding for approximately 120 people. Everything tasted amazing. Staff was wonderful to work with. Very flexible. Love that they cut the cake and boxed the leftovers. Overall I would definitely use them again if I needed caterering.

This is the first time we have had meat from this company. We had a T-Bone and Ribeye for dinner and they were the best steaks we have ever had! Also bought some jerky that was delicious! We will be coming back to stock our freezer soon!

Great selection of local meat. Very helpful and friendly service and a clean environment. Prices are very competitive with all the big companies around and the quality is much better.I wont go anywhere else for meat... it's worth every Dime spent and helps the local economy.

Very poor customer service! We called to find out info and were shuffled between a lady who shamed me for not getting the info from the website. She was irritated that I wanted to write down the info and prices so I could ask questions. She then sent me to a guy who took my order but did not have the prices in front of him or even a calculator. So he said that he'd have someone figure it up and call me back. When she did she got all the info wrong and so she sent me back to him. I thought we had it all sorted out when, after driving an hour (which wouldn't be bad in itself), they could not find my order. After calling for specific directions she was very short with me. We finally got there and like I said they couldn't find my order. Pretty soon she produces a paper that must've had the wrong order and a third guy was packing it up. So of course I didn't check it and when I got back home and unpacked it it was NOT what I ordered. I tried to call back to complain and the service person got upset that I was upset and hung up on me. So I called back only to be told that the person who took my order wasn't there and I would have to call back in the am. I did receive a phone message saying that I could come back for them to correct it. I was not about to drive back another hour to get their error corrected. ALL IN ALL VERY POOR COMMUNICATION, CUSTOMER SERVICE AND FOLLOW THROUGH. I WOULD NOT GO BACK THERE OR RECOMMEND THIS SET UP TO ANYONE.

Just picked up my order of venison salami and it is not what I ordered. When I dropped it off, I ordered some to be made with pepper jack cheese. The order was even wrote down correctly. Turns out they don't even make it that way anymore and the lady at the front counter never bothered to tell me that. Plus.......noone bothered to call me to advise of the problem before they processed my order. Then get it home and try it and it is horrible. Meat is very mushy. Extremely dis-satisfied and I am pissed off to say the least. This is the second time they have screwed up an order for me and I guarantee it will be the last. I will never again give them my business. Done.

Excellent full service butcher shop. If it's not out front they'll have it frozen in back or can cut it for you while you wait. Bacon is amazing, ham is amazing, steak is amazing, roasts are amazing, "hamburg" is amazing, lunch meats are amazing, jerky is amazing. Did I mention it was great? We enjoyed eating pulled pork sandwiches from here in downtown Galesburg on Tuesday night! The mac and cheese was a delicious side! Yum! They were set up next to the classic car shop and it sounds like they will do this most Tuesdays this summer! Plus, the Galesburg Farmer's market happens on Tuesday night, too!

Had a 12 lb turkey smoked for Thanksgiving and taken off the bone, it came out perfect; moist, fork tender, and very delicious. Mark is an excellent seansoned Butcher, no pun intended, he is highly experienced, skilled, and professional in his trade.to Highly Recommend Mark's Galesburg Meat Coompany is an understatement at best. Try it once and you'll be back. They process beef, pork, chicken, deer, and fish. What a treat to eat. Thanks Mark and crew! I am full, fat and sassy. Stoped by picked up pork roast 2 steaks on sale tbones 2 for 15 bucks, last week it was 2 New York strips 2 for 15 bucks good place to shop and support local farmers, reprocessing facility, and butcher shop. Buy American know where your good comes from.
