I called earlier this evening (about 10 minutes to closing) with concerns about my sick cat. My cat is not even a patient at this vet but I called them because they were the only ones who were open/who would answer. I wish I would’ve asked the girls name at the front desk, but whoever answered my call was so sweet and helpful. This is my first pet and I honestly had no clue how to help him. I was very upset and scared. She guided me in the right direction when I needed help finding an urgent care for my cat to go to. She offered the names and addresses/phone numbers to emergency vets and the urgent care and answered all of my questions. You could tell she was very passionate about her job, and it was so very kind of her to help me out when we aren’t even established at this vet. I would bring my animals here in a heartbeat! ❤️ thank you again!

If I could take away stars rather than give any I would. This place is an absolute joke and I will be letting everyone I know and love to go ANYWHERE else. This is NOT a 1 off, I've kept my mouth shut for years about the damage this horrible place has done to animals because they do not know how to do their jobs AT ALL. This is not the first time as I've said before, but this time they almost cost a young cat and her kittens to be killed. They do not do xrays and claim that they do, they didn't even know the cat was pregnant and she's 3 weeks from due. She was taken an hour away to another vet and is now on the mend. I will never ever ever bring an animal here again, last time they cost my friend's dog a limb on their wrong diagnosis... I just don't know how they can call themselves vets and be so heartless.

Our current Vet diagnosed an ulcer one one of our French Bulldog's eyes, cause by eyelashes growing on the underside of her eyelid and irritating the eye. Her suggested animal hospital in Grand Rapids listed the needed surgery at $1500 to $2000 dollars. I called Doctor Breuker at Fremont Animal Hospital and she stated that she could do the needed surgery for much less. Our dog is now about 10 days post eyelash removal surgery and is doing extremely well. Dr Breuker describe the surgery in a way that helped us understand the procedure and recovery and she has a straight forward manner that make us feel that our dog would be in good hands. I highly recommend Dr Breuker and her staff, who took good care of our dog.

The best! I drive an hour to take my two dogs here. Dr Breuker is an amazingly smart and kind person who has helped my dogs numerous times. There is a reason you need to book in advance, that’s not the clinics fault. If you want the best care for your animal, bring them here.

After being with this vet for several years, we finally decided to transfer our animals when they gave us medication for someone else’s pet. During the initial purchase of the medication, the front staff acted extremely rude (which was very common) when I asked them to please bring the medication curbside as advertised by a note on the door. I expressed gratitude when the medication was brought out and explained that I had a newborn baby. It was very obvious the gal was annoyed and didn’t care what I had to say as she didn’t so much as respond. Once I returned home, I noticed the medication was incorrect with another dogs name. They expected me to return immediately. I put up with the rude staff for a very long time because I was certain my dog was getting good care, but when that was no longer the case, we switched vets immediately.

The staff is amazing and the doctors are so kind. They always take time to explain everything and give you options to make the best choice for your fur-babies. I've had a few emergency situations, and they always get me in and make sure my kitty is taken care of. Love this place!

Called in an emergency after my cat got hit by a car. They refused to treat him because he hadn’t been there in a year. Their “suggestion” was calling around to bring my cat to a vet I wasn’t familiar with while he was suffering. Find a vet that actually cares about animals especially if their your babies. I recommend Newaygo Vet Services.

So disappointed in the fact that when I called to make an appointment for my new puppy the soonest they would schedule an appointment for her was a whole month out. They made zero effort to try to get her in sooner to be seen so she could be screened for worms, given a dewormer, as well as her vaccinations. I am a long time account holder here (at least 20 years) and have never been more frustrated than I am right now with their customer service.

Dr. Russell did ectopic ureter surgery on my toy poodle, Lilly Bean a few months ago. She spent the first 4 years of her life in and out of shelters due to her urinary leakage, before making it to me, a mere few hours before she scheduled for euthanasia. I can not express enough just how thankful I am for the gift you gave her. I know that if anything happens to me, she will not have to live that life again, because a urinary leakage she has no control of. Her surgery was a complete success and she is so happy to not have to deal with constant urinary tract infections. Thank you for squeezing us in. You are very talented veterinarian.

I have been a customer at Fremont animal hospital for nearly 20 years! Now the appointments are a month and a half out and they demand a DEPOSIT to schedule an appointment! I am moving my dogs to a new Veterinarian! I doubt I will return to them in the future as the service is lacking as of late! It's a shame! They were great with my dogs!

Dr. Breuker is excellent with the pets but she definitely needs 1 or 2 veterinarians and I realize this is a bad time to hire anyone because of the time we live in. I loved Dr. Russell.

Such a great clinic. Wonderful experiences with both vet and assistants. They were always very pragmatic and affordable for care and when we had to put our beloved family dog down, they made the experience as positive as it could have been under the circumstances. I just can't say enough about our good experiences here.

We've been going here for YEARS! These guys are so understanding that life happens, pets are expensive and they will do everything that can to work with you! Surgical procedures wise, they are wonderful, hands down wouldn't take my pet anywhere else!

They had us bring our dog in at 8:30 and we waited around and then they said they'd get to her as soon as they could then my wife called at 11:30 and they told her she was next in line. At 1:00 I called and was told they would get to her as soon as they could. I finally decided to bring her to a different vet and when they brought my 45 pound dog out to me, the lady was carrying her with one arm under the back legs and one arm under her neck, just letting her front arms hang. By the way my dog was coughing when she got to me I could tell it wasn't procedure to carry a dog like that. Plus she had a leash and could walk perfectly fine.

It was ok, but I would much rather go inside with my dog. He would be more relaxed with me there. It's just not really convenient how it's set up now. If you had your covid shot, you should be able to go in. Just my opinion.

I tried to set up an appointment for my Mom's cat and because she's on a fixed income and hasn't had her in there to be seen in 3 years they can no longer treat her. That is the stupidest rule I've ever heard. It's just flat out ignorant. There's only so much she can do and to "punish" her cat because of her money situation is beyond unforgivable. Seems to me, it's time to change the rule!!

This place has always provided a good visit for my pets when I've had appointments, Dr Gretchen has always been nice and friendly. However Dr Russel isn't my favorite he can be rather Rude. My mother had a situation where her cat was dying She tried to get him there in there for an emergency situation and they wouldn't take him! They directed him to The Grand Rapids Vet E.R about an Hour away. She told them he's not going to make it there!!! Still wouldn't take him. I get that your in the business of making appointments and keeping them , but do the right thing and adjust your schedule to dying animals . It's disgraceful honestly .

I just had my dog Neutered and experienced the new Vet Dr. Gretchen as she goes by. I have never had an issue with Dr. Breuker or Dr. Russel in the past. They are always super friendly and call and let me know before I pick up my animal how it well and how he/she is doing. Yesterday I went in and the front desk told me about my dog. I was just disappointed that after spending almost $300 the vet didn't even speak to me beforehand or when I got there. I will continue going there I just know what vet to request and what vet not to request in the future. I love the small town atmosphere and the love they have for animals.

We love Fremont Animal Hospital. We've had our pets there for years and last summer or beloved Molly had to be put down and they were so compassionate. Just got back from taking sisters dog over to be cremated and they were again very compassionate.

When our cat suffered a terrible leg injury, we called Shelby telling them it was an emergency and were told they'd "try" to see him, but we'd have to wait until their regular appointments had been in. After sharing some choice words about their customer service, we called Fremont Animal Hospital who said of course we should come in immediately and they'd do all they could. Dr Breuker and her staff were amazing. They dropped everything and mobilized to give kitty amazing care. Thanks to them his leg was saved. Later we brought our new pup to be fixed and the surgery was smooth and puppy barely noticed. They're great people, conscientious doctors, and their prices are good. Highly recommend!

My friend has used this clinic for veterinary care for more than 20 years. Her most recent experience was devastating to her as her beloved dachshund was euthanized. The veterinarian came to my friend's home for private euthanasia and while my friend stepped away for a brief moment, unbeknownst to her, the lethal injection was given to her beloved pet. She was robbed of the opportunity to comfort her pet in his final moments. After the event, there were no words of compassion expressed by veterinary team. This was percieved as clearly a business transaction only. The experience of losing her beloved pet was made more traumatic by the manner in which the event occurred.
