Me and a couple of crew have been doing a job near the town of Freeport at an old farm house, I went my first visit to get a beverage and my helper got a homemade dessert, he said it was the best dessert he had ever had. I'm not fond of deserts so I had to take his word for it, a couple of days later I wasn't out there but my crew went back and reported to me that the burgers were the best they ever had. Now I am a fan of burgers so I took my guys there this afternoon around 3, Was able to meet the owner and I have to say burgers were made with love,warmth, and hospitality. And this time was offered another homemade dessert, my guy said it was almost as good as the first desert, anyway, go here!!!

Jam packed, with some old timey favorites like pickled eggs, Missippi Mud beer, and lots more. And Elvis has lost his beer gut by shopping here. Friendly place. Friendly town.

Favorite small town grocery. L&J's has been around a long time and always has what you need: beverages, grocery items, snacks, personal care, pet food, etc., and hot food at certain times. Great place to stop in to grab lunch or supplies.

We stopped on a Sunday because it was the only place open and ended up having the best service and pizza I've had in a very long time! And, I grew up in the ’80s with the best pizza around Barry County! The pizza was made with true art just full of items and cheese (anyone who worked for Northside knows what I mean) We'll be back! Thanks for the hometown hospitality!

This place had a historic feel to it. Like something out of an old western. It was neat. Also the lovely clerk there was very sweet and was quite knowledgeable about the historical town.

It is not at all fancy but takes me back in time to better days when things were simple. The icecream is great and the staff is super friendly and helpful.
