Cutest ice cream shop ever! Love the bright colors, booth seats and chandeliers. They serve HUGE single scoops - go for the half scoop unless you’re really hungry for ice cream. I had the black raspberry chip frozen yogurt and recommend it.

Really cute ice cream shop, well-kept. One scoop of ice cream was HUGE, so good value for your money. Very nice indoor and outdoor seating areas. You can also order in the lobby or from a walk up window outside, which is a unique but cool feature.

Good variety, nice staff and were able to keep things moving pretty quick for a holiday weekend! Made me a great malt and our boys were happy with the ice cream options. I will say $.50 is a bit much for a cup of water.

My ice cream was amazing! The prices were very competitive and it was the closest spot to walk down and watch the sunset! The 2 year old definitely approved it!!

A nice spot in downtown Frankfort. A nice mixture of old timey feel and modern. I came in planning on only getting one scoop. However I couldn't decide so I got one scoop of Apple Crisp and one of Cow Tipping! Apple Crisp is obviously an apple taste with a cinnamon in the mix. It works in ice cream form, it was delicious. The Cow Tipping is vanilla with chocolate chunks and swirls of carmel. This was very good too, though I preferred the Apple Crisp.The service was very good and moved at a good pace.Overall a 5 star review. Would I return? Yes I would.I went back and was going to get a scoop of Pumpkin Pie Ice Cream. However they were out, so I got a chocolate shake instead. It was excellent, ended up a good choice!

Wonderful place to grab an ice cream cone or delicious sundae. Praline pecan flavor was excellent and the Panther Gold sundae was heaven in a dish. Definitely a VERY cool spot!

A great little family-owned ice cream spot! When I told Christy thatwe wanted to buy ice cream for 135 wedding guests, she jumped into action and created customized certificates for me to pass out as wedding favors. Our guests loved being treated to ice cream before the reception and when my new husband and I stopped in for a milkshake and some photos, Christy made sure it was on the house! Thank you so much to you and your lovely staff!

Do not recommend! I ordered a pineapple SMOOTHIE and a vanilla MILKSHAKE. The SMOOTHIE tasted like expired milk with pineapple flavoring 1/10. The vanilla MILKSHAKE tasted like straight up cold milk. All of my kids got ice cream and were also very disappointed. DO NOT RECOMMEND

Highly recommend!! Christy, owner, was super easy to work with! Had our rehearsal dinner in the Frankfort area and wanted Cool Spot Ice Cream, future daughter-in-laws favorite, for dessert. They delivered and served the ice cream. It was a huge hit!! I would highly recommend them!

Sunday morning had grabbed some food from bakery. Walked around to find a table to eat at. Saw tables outside this totally empty ice cream place which we had gotten ice cream from the night before. As we were eating our food, an employee came out and told us it was private property and we couldn’t sit there. It was about 10:30 am and as I said EMPTY! Will never go here again for ice cream. Totally unfriendly and harsh employee who told us this. Not the type of attitude one expects in a tourist town. Stick it Cool Spot. Not cool. 2 other ice cream places to eat at. I was really floored by this. How sad.

This is not only the place to go for quality ice cream, but it is owned and operated by a wonderful hands on person who does it all from serving, cashiering and cleaning in addition to all of the other duties of running a business. Being greeted with a genuine smile and severed righteously good ice cream is a double treat.

Have been going here every summer for the past 3-4 years or so. I am a cookie dough lover and this is my favorite spot for it! I love what the new owner did with the place as well. Minor cosmetic upgrades and you can now use a card to pay. My perfect after-dinner treat on vacation. :) I have no complaints!

Absolutely my favorite place to get icecream in Frankfort. The owner Christy is always kind and welcoming. My fav menu item is the acai bowl, which you can customize, the ingredients always taste fresh. Also love being able to order ahead on the website , makes the biggest difference when walking through downtown with 3 small kids.

We all enjoy The Cool Spot! There is literally something here for everyone. We have enjoyed acai bowls, dairy-free Dole whip, gluten free cake and sugar cones, soft serve, a huge variety of hard scoop flavors, creative and delicious sundaes, as well as yummy coffee. We've become friends with the owner on our visits, and we really love having "our place" to go when we come visit our beloved Frankfort.

We met the owner, Kristi, and she was incredible! They make their waffle cones fresh, and the ice cream was incredible. My wife loved the strawberry dole whip. Definitely a must try in Frankfort!

The kids went in here and got some ice cream. Was very busy but they made it through the line pretty fast. I went to brewery across the street and waited lol. I tried dune if the ice cream and it was pretty good.

Owner is almost always working, even when fully staffed! Super nice, patient, and GREAT ice cream! Serving a wide range of items, this is where my husband and I usually go, despite the other 3 ice cream shops in town!

What a wonderful place! Best ice cream in town, so much to choose from and portions are generous. Staff very friendly. Enjoyed a relaxing stop after spending a day at the lake. Try the pirate parfait!!

Has been our favorite Frankfort Ice Cream shop for a decade, appears to have new management, and they do not (yet) have the system running smoothly. Used to be exceptionally efficient, now the throughput seems to be about 50% of previous. Thankfully the ice cream is still great, I truly hope it returns to the previous efficiency.

Open late until 10:30 perfect for the after sunset crew. Classic environment with lots of benches to sit on outside and in. Smells like waffle cones as soon as you walk in you’re greeted with the pleasant aroma. Staff is FAST, and accurate. Their prices are so reasonable!I’ve been going here for 15 years + and I hope they never change - except maybe they’ll take debit.
