My return to Frankfort after many years landed me at an old favorite stop for dinner - Stormcloud. My friends and I split two appetizers, pizza, and two of us got sandwiches.The popcorn with the truffle parm was very good! I also enjoyed the creamy buffalo dip although the cheese on top made it a little hard to dip and I was craving some celery sticks on the side to go with the tortilla chips.My friends who split the roasted root pizza got a gluten-free crust and were impressed with the texture. The root veggies and corn with horseradish drizzle gave many layers of flavors that were really nice.The Peppy Pig sandwich ordered by my friend she raved about!I had a Turkey Brie Sandwich and it was good but slightly disappointing. I think a different bread would have really elevated this sandwich to its potential.

My wife and I stopped into Stormcloud for lunch on our way back from Traverse City. This was our first time here and the food was impressive! Wait staff was really friendly and enjoyable!We started with a beer flight to get an idea of what their beers tasted like. They weren’t my preference, but my wife enjoyed them.For our meals my wife ordered the Rider On The Storm pizza and I ordered the Stormy Grain Bowl with chicken. The pizza was very good! My wife doesn’t usually finish her meals, but she finished this small pizza and only let me try one piece, lame! The grain bowl was also very good. Very flavorful and surprisingly light!We ended the experience with the Hot Salted Carmel Cookie. Man oh man was this think sweet, but what do you expect when you read the name! Super good! I could have eaten a few of them, but glad we shared! Definitely the cherry on top of the whole experience!We will be stopping back in when we go thru Frankfort next! Go give it a try!

We have stopped into Stormcloud many times over the years and can say it has been consistently great. Stormcloud is one of our favorite breweries in Michigan. Their winter food and beer menu are great. We enjoyed the baked brie with cranberry apple jam. For dinner we had the okey dokey artichokey sandwich with chips and pickle slices and the southwest club. Both were tasty. The chips are delicious with great flavor and the pickles were also tasty and unique.

Stopped in late afternoon and they had a good crowd already. We were seated right away but the servers seemed a bit confused as to who was working the sections and who our server was. Paying the bill took a while, too. All that aside, the food was excellent. I had the BBQ Smoked Brisket Sandwich, my wife had the Fowl Weather Sandwich (chicken) and we had the Storm Beans (deep fried green beans) as an appetizer. The sweet hot dipping sauce for the beans was perfect, not too hot, not too sweet. We both had beers with our meals and my IPA (Whiled Away) was quite tasty. My wife has the Bird Walker Blonde which she thought was good.This place is worth stopping in to. The photo is of my sandwich, didn’t get one of her sandwich.

I loved everything about this place. The vibe was good, the food was good (and quick!), and the beer was unexpectedly good. If you like Belgians--or even if you don't--the Rainmaker Ale is an extremely tasty and drinkable Belgian. It deserves all the acclaim it has received. Also, my house-made coleslaw was perfect.

Excellent beer with a great atmosphere! We always sit outside because we bring our dog. The back area is covered and heated in the colder season. The food is pretty good, yet nothing to write home about. We got the pretzel appetizer, chili, and grain bowl. The chili wasn’t the best. I liked my grain bowl except they were out of eggs and it would have been better with a fried egg (because everything is, really). We’ll definitely be back, though, since we always bring our doggo when we go to Frankfort.

Beer was good, just a terrible experience dining in. Thinking they might have staffing issues. On a Monday for dinner, it was a 35min wait for a table and then over 45min once we ordered for food. The food tasted fine, smallish portions. Waitress barely checked on us and no apologies/acknowledgement for the lack of service. Not in a rush to go back unless I hear service has improved.

Walk in and the venue is well kept, interesting ambience. The music was too loud and just not good, so you kind of have to just ignore it. The food: started with chips and beer cheese. Cheese was good, but the chips were terrible. Got the chili which was the highlight, it was GREAT! Mac n cheese with pulled pork was good, but the BBQ sauce was too sweet for the dish. Service was mediocre, waitress may have had a bad night, but felt like we were a low priority. Filled our stomachs with sustenance though, and price isn't terrible.

Always excellent food, service and beer! Try the different popcorn flavors--today we tried the Frank's hot sauce and blue cheese popcorn, sounds weird but it's so good. Somewhat limited menu (no hamburgers or fries) but their pulled pork sandwich is tasty as are the Stormsticks, cheesy bread with marinara dipping sauce. Bier cheese soup is also good. Try to eat outside!

I'm having trouble coming up with the appropriate superlatives. There is nothing here that isn't fantastic. The service, the food , the beer, the atmosphere.Everyone has a legitimate smile! Even with a full house right in the middle of busy season.The food rocks. My Garden salad is likely the best I've ever encountered. The mac & cheese is top-notch. My son's Stormavore pizza disappeared almost too quickly to get a pic.Plenty of indoor & outdoor seating, which is all occupied on a beautiful Canada Day and a nice view of small town Main Street, to boot. I want to move in but my son pointed out several realities, so, no. 😥

This is the absolute best place we've been to in a long time. We are from out of town and we saw this place downtown and decided to check it out. It hands down was an amazing experience. The wait time wasn't too long even though it's a beautiful night, they got people in quickly. The food was amazing, we had the pretzel bites, spinach artichoke dip, caprese pizza, and bbq sandwich. As well as 2 flights of beers which were so good we ordered a draft of them. Don't even get me started on our server Lisa, talk about an amazing sweet human being, she was so attentive and so kind, she said she is usually an awkward person but I didn't notice at all. The live music, Stella’s Black Rose played and were super awesome! We spoke with the owner Rick to tell him about our experience and why we were in town, for my husbands birthday, and he was so nice in giving him a free pint glass as we were walking out. Totally unexpected but such a beautiful experience with them. Thank you for being a fabulous restaurant!!!

Great atmosphere. Very good menu of beverages and food. The location is wonderful, just a short walk from the beach. The pretzels are super, too! I love the 3 different setting; inside, covered patio and outdoors.

The staff are great and the beer was good. The food was delicious. Usually there is a wait, but you can get a drink while you wait. Dog friendly!! We loved it!

Great beer, great service! Cool brewpub atmosphere. Try the hot turkey open face sandwich for sure. Pizza is darn good as well.Edit: came back in late October. The Turkey sandwich is still darn amazing!

Very close to beach. Can get very busy in the evenings. However, there are many shops around to pass the time while you wait. We were seated fairly quickly. Lots of great beer on tap. Nice variety of appetizers and entrees. All food was pretty good. There is seating inside or out on the patio. There is also a nice common gathering area to just enjoy a drink, or two. Hostess and waitstaff busy, but attentive and friendly Live music the night we were there.

Enjoyed a pleasant lunch in their all weather really cool patio, with the convertible roof! Had a fresh pint and lunch. Had fancy grilled cheese on nan bread with awesome slaw, also had brat bites with fancy hot mustard…brews were great food awesome fun time with great service.

We went to see the waves crashing at the light house, finishing with a warm up at Stormcloud for a snack and beer.We had the breadsticks that were awesome! I had a nice IPA with it. The outdoor patio area was great and we had the heaters and supplied blankets to keep us warm!Great Frankfort stop!

It is rare that both my wife and I get exactly what we didn't know we wanted. The Mac Daddy was absolutely delicious. It has a nice BBQ flavor to the creamy sauce and the brisket was cut into large chunks similar to burnt ends. The beer was excellent as well.

Great tasting beer! Great tasting food! Great service! I love that they recommend a beer pairing with each meal on the menu :) highly recommend the rainmaker beer... so refreshing on a hot summer day!

Food was good. Sat on the outdoor patio and got scolded for trying to close the zipper to the open area outside...... It was super windy and blowing into the area. Server was pretty standoffish but warmed up slightly by the end. Surprised when she said there was a water station for us to get our own water. Overall it was good enough that we will come back, just a few things to know. Of note, no kids menu. Good beer.

Food, beer, and coffee were good! The beans are our favorite! We reserved a "Thunderdome" outside (we thought the $10 would be a deposit and taken off our bill, our miscommunication). Good service, good COVID precautions, servers were all masked and appreciated.

Specializes in Belgians, meats, and cheese? Yes, please! Seriously though, this is a fun place to grab good food and drink. Had the cheddar ale soup and roasted root vegetable salad which were both good. Also had a flight of their 4 Belgians on tap, a dubbel, two trippels, and the dark strong ale, some of which were fantastic! Ended up eating half the bratwurst my Mom ordered because hers was a lot of food. Outdoor seating for summer, plenty of indoor space for the rest of the year. Glad to see this place open all year-round unlike so many others in Frankfort.

We ate here today on our way the Traverse City and it was great. We snagged the last open table on the patio so we could bring our dog. The server (Bruce) was really good and even found a water dish for our Stella. They had heaters running so we weren’t freezing. My husband and I shared a pizza and it was the perfect size. Highly recommend this brewery.

Great food and beer, excellent service, fun ambiance. Recommend the Rider on the Storm pizza, fowl weather sandwich, and the Gossiping Auntie beer (brown ale with chai infusion). Highly recommend overall!

Stopped in for lunch on a Sunday. Good thing we got there before noon. By the time we left they were lined up on the sidewalk to get it. What does that tell you? I can’t comment on the beer as we don’t drink it but my wife gave the cider high marks. Food was fabulous. The pizza special was to die for. This is a great place to eat. Service also top notch. We will be back.

Friendly and accommodating table and kitchen staff. Delicious and flavorful food. Nice outdoor eating area with wind screens and heaters, but still bring a sweater or blanket.I ordered the Thai One On pizza without the cheese, and they still piled on the other toppings; thank you! The beer is awesome, as well.Decent vegan, healthier, and meat-free food options, too! Win-win.

Wonderful beer and food! The beer cheese soup was fabulous and the BLT pizza was to die for. The garlic aïoli sauce on the pizza definitely set it apart from other BLT pizzas I’ve had elsewhere
