Awesome service.The woman that owns the place was so nice. We talked for almost an hour and didn't even realize all that time had passed.She gave me a bunch of fishing tips and shared a ton of info about the local area.This is "my shop" from now on and it should be yours too.They have been open for 41 years now.I highly recommend trying them out!

We found the owner of this place to be a complete horses ass. Was yelling at his only helpful employee. Was also rude when we asked to use the bathroom. For a place that probably relies heavily on tourism, we got the vibe they didn't want us in the store and he wanted to help all the "locals" first.

Brian was consistently condescending every time I came in, despite my respect and repeat business I gave him. I just had enough and can’t shop here anymore. There’s no excuse for outright disrespectful behavior and belittlement of your customers. Christine, on the other hand, obviously cares very much... very friendly and goes out of her way to be helpful. As far as I can tell, she’s the only one holding the place together.

Very disappointed with the draconian business practices of this store. I was in Frankfort fishing for salmon and needed to buy some fishing lures and other supplies. I went into the store, picked out some items that I needed. They did not have everything that I needed, but they did have some of the things I wanted for my fishing trip. The worst part of my visit happened when I went to the counter to pay for the items that I wanted to buy. The employee rang up the items on the cash register and gave the price for items. As I inserted my Capitol One Master Card credit card into the card reader, the same card I use every day for almost every purchase, they refused to accept my card because it is a "Cabelas" credit card. The owner of the store said that they do not accept that card because it has their competitions name on it. Then I pulled out my "Bass Pro Shops" credit card. Again, they would not accept that card either. Needles to say, I walked out of the store with nothing.I try to support local businesses whenever possible. But these people discourage it to extremities.So, if you are going fishing in Frankfort you may want to buy all of your supplies at Cabelas or Bass Pro Shops before you go there. Because they will refuse service to anyone who even thinks about shopping at, or using services of, "the competition."A GOOD ALTERNATE OPTION would be the BACKCAST FLY SHOP in Benzonia. Where the staff is friendly, willing to help, and will not discriminate against the identity of your credit card.Completely unhappy with the service and products at Frankfort Tackle Box.The management of this store would do themselves a big favor to move into, live in, and do business in the twenty first century.

Christine was so helpful we came to enjoy our honeymoon and she made every effort to not only help us understand fishing around here but also took time to expo where some memorable romantic places are that would make our honeymoon special Hannah was helpful as well we will for sure be back to visit it was nice to walk into a place we're completely unfamiliar with and be made to feel like we're long lost friends

Rude Rude Rude... We stop by every year to support the locals in small businesses. The guy opened the door asked, "What do you want?" My husband replied with I would like to purchase my fishing license. The owner/? replied my computer is down and slammed the door in my husband's face. So needless to say we will not be supporting this small business. Not sure why people think it's ok to be so disrespectful!

I called to find out what time they open the lady who works behind the counter she seems she’s the owner she put me on hold for one hour not only that but she never put the phone back so I could try calling again I will never give them my business again
