My groom’s one wish was to have an Alpaca appearance at our wedding up north Michigan. We searched far and wide and had no luck - until one day I got a returned call from Kristen. No questions asked, she said we’ll be there with these two cute fur balls! This was a surprise for our guests and was a show stopper for many. It was an excellent cocktail hour activity that made for tons of great photos.

Wonderful place I visit as often as possible! There is a store with amazing & unique Alpaca hair items from a wide selection of socks to clothes, purses, jewelry and more! When you drive in, there is a whole Alpaca farm with a lot of adorable Alpacas and the specially trained dog who protects them, sorry I forget the name of the breed. Up next to the store is another, smaller store with items for all. From stuffed Alpacas that are works of art in my opinion to ornaments, a section for all ages of kids, home decor and more. This is the store to the right as you pull into the lot, the Boutique is on the left. Well, while you’re in the smaller store on the right, you can purchase food to feed the Alpacas in the back of this store, more farmland with goats and donkeys, too, but you have signs to remind you feed Alpacas only. They’re amazingly soft to pet and friendly. Cashiers have always been so friendly, too. Always a very enjoyable experience. I highly recommend Crystal Lake Alpaca Farm and Boutique.

The alpaca farm was a fun place to visit. There are over 50 alpacas currently at the farm. They have a petting section that cost $3 per person and it comes with carrots and alpaca food. They have miniature donkeys, miniature goats and alpacas that you can pet and feed. They also have a boutique shop that sells various things from socks being $30 a pair to coats ranging around $129 per coat. The alpaca fur is very very soft and is able to hold heat very well just like wool.

I'm not sure I want to live in a world without Alpaca socks. The Crystal Lake Alpaca Farm and Boutique is fantastic for a lot of reasons. The people, the products and the Alpacas. What I love most are the Alpaca socks. I ran long distance for 30 years and have some experience with comfort and durability of socks in general. The Alpaca socks are soft, comfortable, durable and, hard to describe otherwise, cozy. I bought one pair a few years ago. It's snowballed. Every time I get near Crystal Lake Alpaca Farm I add to the inventory. They are worth every penny. I am grateful.

My grandsons, 7 and 3, and I had the pleasure of experiencing the Crystal Lake Alpaca Farm this past week. The weather was a beautiful cool day and the setting there is so comfortable and inviting. They have great outdoor games such as checkers, connect four and corn hole as well as a great train in one of the gated areas. We enjoyed a picnic lunch I packed and games before even going to feed the alpacas. The entrance fee and alpaca food charge both are so reasonable that there was money left over for souvenirs! The boys and I must have spent 3/4 of an hour watching and feeding the alpacas which are so friendly and such characters! All in all, it was a wonderful experience and I would recommend this farm to any family looking for a fun, outdoor excursion!

This place is amazing. There is two little shops. They even sell alpaca stickers and postcards. There is a picnic table. So you could stop in on your way up and eat lunch here.

Visited on day 2 of the season. The weather wasn't great but I still got to feed some Alpaca's and miniature donkeys! The staff was very kind and helpful. I ended up falling in love with an adorable stuffed animal Alpaca, which I purchased. I love this little place!!!

A great place for warm and fashionable Alpaca products. They offer unique gifts as well. They even have a little fed and pet area in the back.

Stopped in yesterday. We were the only ones there and you would like someone would ask if we wanted to know about the alpacas or something. Nope. And there was a Great Pyrenees dog in with the alpacas, clearly Not well taken care of. Poor guy was all matted and flys on him. Shame on whoever owns him. You can’t talk about how great the alpacas are (not that anyone offered anything) and treat the dog badly. I will never go back. I might call animal control.

Fun place to visit if you’re looking for something different to do. You can enjoy viewing the aplacas for free and hang out on the picnic tables. They have 2 little gift shops full or alpaca made goodies. They have baby alpaca right now and they are so adorable! It’s also neat that this is an active farm.

Oh My! Too much fluffy cuteness! So neat to spend time with these exceptional animals! Lots of mommas and babies. Donkeys were nice too! Boutique is $$$$ and not sourced from their alpaca fur ( at least not on the items that were viewed by us) I would recommend going to check everything out for yourself!

My family came here for the free family event day. Our kids loved feeding the Alpacas and having their face painted. It was very cool that this business held a free family event for the community.

Love seeing the alpacas when we are in town. There were so many babies this year, so cute! Their cuteness made up for being spit on and one of the donkeys gnawing on my arm while I was feeding another donkey lol. Will definitely be back.

We drove over 2 hours to come here today. As you can see in the screen shot that I am posting, they are supposed to be open until 4:30. It is 3:10pm and they are closed. I dislike having to give this type of review, but I am disappointed that the hours are not correct on the website. I am sure that I am not the only one to have had this issue. I recommend that you call ahead first to double check their hours before heading here. It looks like it would be an interesting place to check out.

I stopped in with some friends during a tour of the area, and it was a lot of fun to see the alpacas and their guard dogs spending their time keeping cool and eating. This would definitely be a great stop for kids or anyone who loves animals. The store had a lot of different items made from alpaca fur, and the cloth is very soft and fine. Prices are high, but the quality of the fabric certainly warrants it. Stop in if you're in the area.

Alpaca farm was so fun. Big area up front (left side of driveway/parking) is the maternity ward. Adorable mama and baby alpacas. Two gift boutiques. One with clothing, scarves, hats, gloves, socks and beautiful jewelry. The other one with small gifts including stuffed toys, dryer balls, artwork, scarves, blankets, pillows and much more. It's in this building you "pay to see and feed" the alpacas. Different side fenced area. There three males that we could feed. They do not like to be patted on the head. We could pay from underneath. When we were back there .. alpacas only want the food .. It's fun! Have someone ready to take photos and short videos. We had so much fun. Includes those cut out murals and you pur face inside for a fun photo. Be sure to that too . . . Fun. Fun. Fun. Owners are super nice.

Beautiful merchandise in their boutiques, but expensive (as quality alpaca goods are wont to be.)!Friendly and informative staff are happy to help with any questions.

This was so fun! We got to look at the adorable alpacas and big dogs in the "maternity ward." We also enjoyed going to the petting zoo and petting/feeding the alpacas, donkeys and little goats! They even had complimentary natural bug repellent and hand sanitizer in the petting zoo. Not to mention the adorable gift shop, all around a great place for your family to visit!

This is such a great stop! The owner was so kind and genuinely loves her work and the animals. The Alpacas roam and if you’re lucky they will look at you through the store back window! The quality and quantity are impressive and most definitely worth a stop!

A wonderful outing overall! The farm itself was impossibly clean, and you can clearly tell that the animals are happy and well taken care of. You can look at their alpacas (and alpaca guard dog) from a fenced area, where you can watch them at a distance for free. For $3 you can feed donkeys, goats, and alpacas - spending as much time with them as you want! A wonderful experience (for two adults nonetheless)!
