Very impressed with the great selection. Not the best area but oh my Lord the selection is fabulous. The meat department was 100 percent better quality and price than Walmart or Meijer. Will definitely be buying more of my meats there. This store is a must. Thank you Mr. Butcher man great job. The staff was friendly also.

Recently moved to the neighborhood, this is my closest supermarket. I was shocked at the huge selection of everything- rows and rows of everything one might possibly need. The produce section was breathtaking! Beautifully arranged and a very abundant number of choices. The meat section? Also amazing. Fresh or frozen. Yet the store was empty, another shock. Very friendly staff. Please people, pay a few cents more and support your local business!!

Store needs to be more careful in not selling product past its date . These where 2 out of 4 we bought and they where 10 days past . Gonna bring the product back with reciept its only a few dollars but its the princable of the matter

They constantly provide our Neighborhood with QUALITY product. I'm budgeted so I buy REDUCED FRESH MEAT and FREEZE IT. TODAY I got chicken, pork, chicken "pieces or trim" but lots of bite sized pieces. I batter and AIR FRY and I use that on their DOLE CLASSIC CAESAR kit which is ALSO marked down and ALL GOOD! I buy EXTRA FETA CHEESE. "SAM'S KITCHEN" is at the back of the store, their CAJUN CHICKEN TENDERS are GREAT alone or in a WRAP. Nice CLEAN, ORGANIZED EASTSIDE "STAPLE". Helpful, pleasant EMPLOYEES 👏👏👏Glad to have them here.

Shame on the owners of this store.This store is a nightmare! The store smelled like rotten produce and rotten spoiled meat. GROSS AND SMELLY. Many many items were EXPIRED and the store is still trying to sell it to poor folks. Nice job taking advantage of folks living on a fixed income. The cashier was rude and unfriendly. You said your prices are high because of inflation. You probably should look at the meaning of the word. Your prices are high because y'all are greedy! I will NEVER spend my money at your horrible, horrible store again.

Their prices are horrifyingly high!! Ever since Royal Fresh took over the prices went even higher & they were too high before! Spartan stores are famous for high prices and always have been. And, customer service for anything up front at the window is a bit slow. Produce still sucks. If you just have to shop there... If it's not in a manufacture-sealed package, like a can or box, please reconsider your purchase! Sorry Royal Fresh... It is what it is. Sorry not sorry.

Nice place to shop. Have good deals on meat. But the only thing I really don't like is that you have to watch the dates on everything. They sell out dated items, at a discount. When they should just write it off or donate it before the expired date.

🤮👎🏾👎🏾DO NOT SHOP HERE!!!!🤒I’ve shopped here on many different occasions & it’s always something wrong.I’ve had food poisoning 3 times now. I’ve purchased multiple items just to get home & see that they’re rotten or spoiled.Every time I go to this store I always noticed molding produce. This Grocery store “Royal fresh” is definitely not Royal fresh. More like Royal Rotten! Better yet Royalty of Freshly Rotten.I’ve managed many fast foods and I’ve also managed a Cheese & deli counter for other grocery stores.I’ve never heard of a grocery store that closes for a day out the week just to restock. I believe that they are not storing away they’re freight in a timely manner & temperatures of merchandise are dropping below health code requirements.I’m very familiar with how this whole process works & I will be contacting the health department.Save yourself. Do not shop here.This is just my warning.Signed Sincerely- A disappointed customer

They do a good job ,Being in a tough area , check dates on foods , and prices on shelves and at checkout time lots of times they are higher at checkout .but all in all they are doing a necessary business , glad they are thereThey are finally getting new freezers , the old ones had some thawed an refrozen pizzas , unfortunately we ate one terrible ....But I do like them here good in a pinchWrite down the price of everything thing you buy so you can have them charge what it's actually supposed to be at checkout.Ready to turn them into the State for over charging this way .

It is what it is. Don't expect a Whole Foods experience, and this little store will never disappoint.The house made sandwiches and desserts just inside the door are worth a look. Meat selection and pricing is good. Other than that, pricing is like a very large gas station. You can buy a bag of Fetty Wap chips and White Claw, but they won't be on sale. Moneyball incense and industrial size sweet corn and five pound mustard tubs are also standard inventory.It's a must-see, for any new neighbors to the East Village.

Spoiled meat, veggies, dairy, and fruit is most what I get from this store. If you see a reduced sticker on anything, take caution. My last purchase from this store, all but my dry goodies were bad even the pineapple juice. I rather walk to Save A Lot than to buy anything else from this store. I will be giving my food I have left to the health department.

I love the chicken and beef in the meat department. Their meat is always fresh and reasonably priced. If you have not tried the Whole Tenderloin Filet Mignon, I would highly recommend it! It is sold before being cut into filet mignon steaks, so if you don’t mind it coming in a big chunk and cutting it at home this is the best of the best chunk of beef you can buy and priced so well especially being filet mignon beef. : )

The meat at this grocery store needs to be reported. They keep a grocery basket filled with raw meat in the back contaminated. You can smell spoil meat through the store. Stop shopping here if you want to live a healthy life
