Brenda, the closing manager today 12/22 had no concerns about helping shoppers who were cutting it close as the store was closing. I had my arms full of stuff to As they made their 9 minute announcement so I asked where to cash out, I was told there were no registers open apparently and I was stuck waiting until the moment they closed to be told I couldn’t cash out. I was looking for the particular person (Mary) who was helping me/holding an item at the perfume counter and I was told they had just left. So obviously this dying store is not interested in making sales. It’s a shame because I intentionally came to the flint location to help keep my money local. While shopping, I was not offered any assistance by anyone working other than Mary. I watched the people making an announcement but it was obvious they were not at a register. I’m confused by the lack of communication as a team to allow the registers to all close while two shoppers are clearly purchasing an armful of items and were going to check out - asking where to check out and wanted to collect the items waiting for them at the perfume counter.

I love the prices at Macy's I never use to shop there. But the quality of the clothing is greatI take a smaller size there I really love that.

Unfortunately this place has really gone downhill over the years. It's just not the same place it was pre COVID.They are often way understaffed, and it's not uncommon to have to search for an associate. Most of the associates seem unhappy working there.Also, when I was younger Macy's was more upscale and the people that work there seemed to pride themselves on how they look and presented.Not anymore. I see employees in jeans, sweatshirts, tshirts and somewhat unkempt. Not many, but enough.The prices have remained the same and some of the merchandise is way over priced. You can find some good deals in Macy's Backstage though.Do not buy into their point system. On the bronze point system, you have to earn 1000 points to get a $10 credit.That's $1000 to get $10. Absolutely ridiculous! Dont sell them your info for that.

Great store. Expensive, but with the quality and name brands, it's to be expected. There is plenty of parking and access inside Genesee Valley Mall. The Linden Road side is probably your best bet for parking.

I went all over town looking for a fake leather coat and Macy's is the only place that had one, and they did just have one they had a nice selection of VEGAN leather!!! Also there's a sale, so if you have a Macy's card 40% off!Thanks Miss Tabetha (terrific cashier ❤)

Macy's has a decent selection of items. They are quite higher in price but if you go during friends and family, or have a percent off all items , you can get great deal. I found a bunch of woman's size zero jeans on clearance for around $10 plus 25 percent off. Then with Kohl's cash I got two pairs of discount Sketchers and New Balance for $24 w/ my $50 Kohl's cash.

My favorite store in Flint...I can always find QUALITY clothing that lasts & looks great. Went shopping Memorial Weekend for a great mattress deal & have to say Bob in furniture/mattresses was great! He helped me find exactly what I wanted...so friendly yet professional. Spoke with his associate Lori today to ask delivery question & she went the extra mile to ensure everything was correct & ready for me. She HEARD my concern & was so pleasant and helpful. I wish more people would shop in store here to give Flint the business

I walked in looking to buy something for my wife walked through the entire store. Every employee was standing there by themselves. Not one of them said hi to me or anything. Walked back to the jewelry counter.The lady at the jewelry counter snubbed me and looked down away from me so that she didn't have to say anythingAs I was walking around not one person said hi or anything to me and there were no customers in the storeThis is Why the store needs to shut down and all the employees need to lose their jobs because they're patheticWhenever walk in here again

I received some diamond earrings from my husband for christmas. The backs would not stay on. Needless to say we returned them to Macys in Genesee Valley Mall. The store was empty. We entered the store and stood in a return line for 15 min. while they waited on one older couple. Finally it was our turn only to be told we had to go to fine jewelry to get our refund. We walked back to fine jewelry. There were 3 women behind the counter. All of them waiting on one customer. After waiting 10 minutes more one of them finally told us she would be right with us. 5 more minutes passed before she finally gave us our refund. I made up my mind never to do business with them again.
