Really solid breakfast place with lots of free parking. It got busy fast during the breakfast rush, but staff handled this pretty well. We really enjoyed our French toast and sides. The vibe inside is your hometown diner/restaurant - pretty casual but with good food. I would probably return if back in the area.

Nice little spot, staff were friendly and the place was clean. Bathrooms were ok. Food took a little bit but was fresh and hot. The food tasted good and was presented nicely, my eggs were a little over poached to my liking with a Benedict but not over cooked so they were still good. Everything else was fine. Will be stopping back to try some other things.

Went for breakfast this morning,Had eggs Benedict. The sauce was tasteless, and the muffin was blah also/cheap.I think that was the worst one I've ever had. Couldn't eat it.Told the waitress. Won't be going back. I guess the cooks don't taste their own food. Yuck!!

I love this place!. I heard the dish washers are the best in the nation, possibly the world! The plates and silverware are so clean you'll feel better about yourself if you eat your meal from a dog food bowl...and it's more fun that way.

First time we’ve gone since the new owners and we were very impressed! Staff was very friendly and I got the chilaquiles and they were fabulous!

NEW: Needed to update my review because the place really has changed with the new management and new menu. If you haven't been here in years, come back and give it a try! The menu is more modern than before while still being affordable. You can still get your Mickey Mouse Pancake, but there's also Avocado Toast and Chicken and Waffles now. I have had many many meals at Pine Street over the years and would say it's worth a try for anybody.OLD: Its a nice hole in the wall place. Nothing too fancy or flavorful, and very affordable.

Basic diner food, nothing special. Friendly staff but kitchen can get backed up easily. It’s a convenient location for us when you don’t want to go into Grand Haven and wait at Morning Star. They do have a good cinnamon roll and I also like the Pine Street breakfast sandwich; the Summer Scramble is not very flavorful. The owner, Loretta, has always been very friendly.

This is exactly what I need in the morning. Good and simple breakfast served with a smile. I really didn’t want to post a review so I could keep this place a secret... but that’s not fair :)

Had high expectations for Pine Street given all the positive reviews. The service was friendly & attentive and the atmosphere was also fine, the food needs some work though. The hash browns on all but one plate were room temperature and chewy. The corned beef and hash was so (adding another SO for emphasis) disappointing, it appeared to be from out of a can/processed and then formed into a small patty before being put onto a bed of baby Yukon potatoes. Neither the hash or potatoes were crispy and the corned beef itself was tasteless.Sorry for the negative review on your food Pine Street, liked the people and atmosphere but the most important thing was lacking, at least for our visit.

We had Isabella as our server and she was very polite and professional. Today was the opening of the patio so we actually sat outside but it got a little cold so they allowed us to come in and didn't make a big deal about it at all. Food came out really quickly and it was cooked to perfection! I think the price was perfect because the food was amazing! We will definitely be back!

We had lunch today at the Pine Street Cafe. It is our usual spot. We had my favorite waitress Isabella, who took very good care of us. My wife had the Club Sandwich and I the Monte Cristo. Both big and tasty. It is such a friendly neighborhood place. It's fun to see the regular faces from the staff. I recommend this quirky little place highly.

We've been going to Pine Street Cafe for many years. It used to be my favorite local breakfast spot. However, it has recently changed hands and now it has fallen several notches down our list. Not only did they drop my favorite breakfast combination plate from the menu, but the prices have increased by 30% or more. On our most recent visit this past weekend the service was not as friendly as it used to be either. Disappointed and with several other good breakfast spots in town, we will likely not be going back to Pine Street Cafe very soon.Kid-friendliness: Family orientedWheelchair accessibility: No steps at main entrance off parking lot

In the past, this place had good food. We went today and was greatly disappointed. I asked for egg whites and got hard fries egg with yolk. My bacon was burnt, my toast was barely toasted and was like rusk. My husband asked for over easy and his egg yolks were broken. I told the waitress my eggs were wrong but she had excuses that the cook was getting a lot of orders wrong. I was never asked for a refill of my drink. We won’t be back!

What can I say? It's an early morning breakfast dive with great food and great service.UPDATE 2024~The biz is under new ownership for the past year. This joint is no longer a "dive" in the classic sense. The prices are reasonable, the service is killer, and the menu is wicked. New owner kept some of the original owners "classic" items (mad props for paying homage to those before you!), but has flipped the rest of the menu on its head using FRESH breads from LOCAL bakeries, outstanding homemade sauces & aioli's, and downright culinary skills to provide new tastes and a cuisine that brings you back for more! I've visited several restaurants that made it on "Diners, Drive-ins and Dives"... This guy has some mean eats that should probably be highlighted on that show! Worth stopping by!
