My dog got violently ill after being fed treats from here. Nothing else in his routine had changed, he did not get into anything, and he had not been around any other dogs, therefore after more than a week of being sick (including 2 vet visits in which labs, fecal sample, and x-rays were done with nothing abnormal as a result), I feel that the freeze-dried salmon treats from this business are to blame.The bag says to "please refrigerate" yet the treats are not kept in the fridge in store. I did not see this on the back of the bag until it was too late.I spoke with an employee at the Ferndale location regarding our situation who was unbelievably rude. I then spoke with an employee at the Bloomfield location who was kinder, but still basically wrote my dog's illness off as a "food intolerance".Both employees said that it is a "state requirement" to write "please refrigerate" on all of their bags, which I would assume to be for a reason...Whether it truly be an intolerance or unsanitary preparation on Maestros' end, their customer service over the entire incident was incredibly poor. Truly a shame as we did enjoy this place, but we will not be returning. I would be very careful feeding your pets their products.

The staff was so helpful in selecting the perfect chew for my teething dog. Great selection of quality treats and chews. Highly recommend the rolled beef cheek, as you can see my dog is obsessed with it!

Every time I walk in with my dog I’m greeted by a friendly employee. They always have a treat for my pup and respectfully ask if they may have one/if there is any allergies. They have any and all things dogs and additional food and treats for cats. They do not carry anything dangerous like rawhides or over processed treats. Maestros is great and I’d highly recommend.

My dog, Jerry, has super bad allergies and we have to use specialty dog food for him and this is where we go for that, and we couldn't be any happier that this is the place to get his dog food.I say that because the staff, every single one, knows Jerry now and treats him so well. They know what he can and cannot have, which tricks he can do and the fact that he is super afraid of all other dogs. For all of them to learn that, with the amount of dogs that come in the store, my wife and I just appreciate them so much.It took us a long time to figure out all of our dogs quirks when we adopted him, but the staff here picked it up really fast and always try to make sure they order treats for him so he can have this particular kind of treat, because it's really the only thing he can have as a treat. (Kangaroo; I know, sorry Aussies...)

Lovely little shop. Despite the small footprint, it has a ton of high-quality pet products and a modest human boutique section packed into it. Picked up a super cute hat while I was there!They don't have just dog stuff, either; they have a little corner for canned and dry cat food, treats, toys, and merchandise! Great service too; the tall person who helped me was very kind, helpful, and soft spoken.

Cute local gem, they do have another location if you need something or need to ask a question to someone else. The food here is premium grade and perfect for your further baby. The treats here are the perfect healthy snack for your baby. The toys and clothes are awesomely cute (even if they are a little pricey). Is it your puppers birthday? Come here and grab them some dog friendly ice cream and cupcakes. Packed with nutrients not junk. It's sure to be a special treat that they will love and you will feel good about 🖤

My spoiled dogs love the variety of pure meat! Im in love! Venison, Rabbit, beef, ostrich… All they need is frog legs, duck, bison, rabbit livers (my dogs love them)….

Cute shop with lots of high-end food options and high-quality treats made in-house. Got two mini-cakes for my dog and her best friend to celebrate their adoption anniversaries and had a lovely chat with the person behind the counter. Will definitely be back!

Maestro's has the only treats that my very picky blue heeler will eat. The beef tendons literally make his eyes roll back in his head. They bulge and it weirds us out. All three of my dogs love this place and as a vegetarian myself I take comfort in knowing all of their in-house made meaty treats come from responsible, local sources. The tripe twists, fish jerky, cow ears, pig ears and tendons are all favorites among my dogs, the longest lasting being the cow ears.

My Dog gives this a dew claw up. He always wants to stop here on our walks. He thinks I am miss money pants...and each time he always picks out the most expensive things. The staff are always so nice, and friendly. They are dog lovers! If Marlin is lucky, he gets a treat from them.

Updated Review:I can not thank Maestros' Dog Haus enough. Janet and Maestro's sous Chef Gen were able to remake my dogs birthday cake and deliver it to me at work. I am so thankful they where able to fix this. The new cake was above and beyond my expectations. Janet and Maestro's sous Chef Gen excelled in customer service. They also assured me that they would do some training on how employees handle situations. I am so happy and on cloud nine! Thank you Maestros' Dog Haus!I officially withdraw my original complaint as Maestros' Dog Haus went above and beyond in customer service to make Buckits birthday the best ever!!Owner Update: 4/20/2018Hello,We are so sorry for the lack of communication on our part. Once i got home and looked at the cake, its wasn't what i ordered. It just says Happy Birthday, Nothing with his name or year. On his birthday tomorrow i can confirm if it is even peanut or not. I am extremely disappointed in this experience, its not ever day i order a dog cake at costs more than a custom human cake. when i called the store, the lady informed me that she had just given me the wrong cake and the correct one was sitting there, that i could come back to exchange the cakes. i explained that i live in Grosse Ile MI, Its about an hour away.There was no additional solution she could offer.So here is why i am upset: I normally order my cakes from Three Dog Bakery, But this year i decided to try a small local business. Bad choice as i didn't get the cake i ordered.Second, in order for me to get the cake that i ordered, I now have to drive a hour to pick it up again, then drive an hour and half home, because the 75 south highway is closed. So in two days i would have spent 6 hours in the car to get a $30 dog cake, that is a huge inconvenience just to support a local small business.Third, There customer service to lacking. I would have been happy with a discount, or a I am so sorry we made a mistake. There was nothing! My only option was to spend more gas and time to now exchange a DOG CAKE!!!

My wife ordered a peanut birthday cake from them two weeks ago. Today we called to make sure that it was ready since they didn't call us. Turns out they sold it to another customer. Since we couldn't wait for another cake we went in to get a smaller one, and see what they could do for us since they screwed up so badly. The manager said she couldn't give us a free small cake (which they should have done), but ended up giving us a frozen yogurt. This is not acceptable behavior for a business. IF YOU MAKE A CAKE FOR A CUSTOMER YOU DO NOT SELL IT TO ANOTHER PERSON!

I purchased a sweater for my dog and was told that if I wanted to return it, I would need a receipt. The sweater didn’t fit, so I came to swap it out, but they didn’t have to sweater in a larger size, so I asked for a refund. They said I couldn’t return clothing items, which I wasn’t told when I purchased the sweater. I had to either take a store credit, but I’m not from here so it wouldn’t do me much good, or get something else, so I had to find something else that wasn’t nearly as cute. Not impressed and will never buy dog clothes from here again.

I love this cute pet shop. I bought the cutest Birthday cake for my fur baby’s 2nd bday and he absolutely loved it. The employee/owner who helped me was exceptional. I will definitely be going back for more!

I love this place- they have a huge selection of cat and dog food, with a trend toward local brands and holistic. If you need something (my cat is in renal failure, and needs low phosphorous food), they're more than happy to order it. Great place, great staff.

Stumbled upon this cute place after dinner and we were so glad we did! The employee was probably one of the nicest people, so helpful and even though we didn’t realize it was close to closing she explained numerous options for our pup. We don’t write reviews often but so impressed with the options and service we will be back!!!!!

Everytime we come here I'm always greeted with nothing less than a warm welcome! I go overboard sometimes with buying the treats in the fridge and freezer (my dogs LOVE them!) Shopping in store is available! Mask required!
