Stood at the checkout for ten minutes at 9:00 tonight, self checkouts were shut off, everyone came to help me. I could hear a girl in the aisle stocking items talking about how much she loved her job on the phone. Left right handed.

Consistently not having my meds even after saying they’ll order them but the CVS up the road is stocked full.And it’s only ever meds related to my trans status. I can’t say it’s a slight 100% and once or twice I’d brush off. But nearly any time I need my T, needles, or syringes refilled they either don’t have them despite texting me it’s filled, or it’s grossly the wrong kind. And one woman looks like a leper has spoken to them every time I’m in for the T meds. Either incompetence or maliciousness who knows, but the rest of my meds never have any issues.Do not recommend for any trans folk in the area who need their stuff reliably filled to keep your levels where they should be. Sadly most of the staff is sweet but it’s really hard to not feel like my life is being made harder in this one specific situation.

Happy to update this review to 5 stars! Still some issues with lines at the front register but all the folks who work here really go above and beyond :) Usually the wait is just a couple of minutes for pharmacy or regular checkout. Pharmacy is able to fill new prescriptions quickly, usually within 2 hours at most.

I have moved around a fair amount, which means that I have used a number of different CVS pharmacies. The CVS on East 9 Mile is, far and away, the absolute worst example of customer service I've ever experienced. Virtually every pharmacy employee is mind-bogglingly rude, short-tempered and displays little to no interest in helping customers or even doing their job. I have not ONCE had a good experience with them.I actually called CVS corporate (and I am so far from one of those people who ever calls to file a complaint) once after a particularly horrible experience. I take daily medication that is essential to my well-being, and my doctor called in a refill. Both the CVS website and mobile site said that my prescription was ready for pickup, which was good because I was nearly out. I went into the store the day I ran out, and they told me there were no prescriptions ready.By the time I was able to go back to the pharmacy, I had been off my medication for four days and was feeling the effects. After waiting in line for 20 minutes (seriously, I counted), I was told again that they had nothing for me. I asked how that was possible, as the site and app showed that I had prescriptions ready for pickup. The pharmacist, an older woman, shrugged and said "I dunno." I then asked her what I could do to get this fixed, and she literally shrugged and walked away. I had to chase her from counter to counter. She was so dismissive and rude that I actually burst into tears in the middle of the store. Only when I became visibly upset did she acknowledge me once again, at which point she sighed heavily, rolled her eyes and said, "I GUESS I can fill this." Just an astounding level of rudeness for someone in customer service. Even though I lived less than five blocks away, I never, EVER went back, and I highly advise that you avoid this branch. There is a CVS at 9 Mile and John R, or one on 9 on the other side of Woodward where you won't be belittled for asking someone to do the bare minimum of their job requirement.

Trying to fill a perscription that they said was on backorder. Called the manufacturer. They said it was in stock and that the pharmacy should call their supplier because it has been shipping for a while now. Told whoever answers the pharmacy phone this. She said it was still on backorder. I asked her if she could call the supplier and she said its not her problem and if I needed this "narcotic" so badly I should find another pharmacy. Incredibly ableist and rude. Apparently after over a week without my ADHD meds I still have more self control than her...

Beware. This is my neighborhood pharmacy so I tend to frequent their location. I pick up prescriptions maybe once or twice a month. I absolutely despise being “helped” by the woman with short gray hair (I’ll get her name during my next visit). Her attitude changes anytime I step up to the counter. I know I did nothing to offend her, she’s just nasty to me. If I ask how she’s doing, she asks for my name & what I came to pick up. If I say “have a nice day!”, she turns her back & returns to whatever she was doing when I walked up.I’m sensitive to microaggressions related to race. On one hand, I just hope she’s that rude to everyone & not just me. It would suck for all customers but at least I’d know she isn’t discriminatory.

Will not be using any CVS pharmacy ever again. Apparently they are so used to electronic scripts they can't read handwritten ones. They said they called the doctor to ask what it was and the doctor demanded they fax them, but never got back. This is a heart medication my husband needs desperately. They should have called me or called the doctor back. I went back, got the script and now I am at Farmington Pharmacy, who isn't having one issue filling this script at almost closing time for them.

This CVS does everything I need it to do. I come here for snacks and water after each of my chiropractor visits next door. I also come here monthly for prescriptions and have always been given great customer service. Pharmacist Elizabeth is very friendly and helpful. I will say the two other pharmacists I’ve been here don’t meet the same expectations as they are often very short and aggravated when chatting on the phone.

I am a current pharmacy technician at Beaumont Royal oak, however worked at CVS as a tech at one of the busiest stores in the Midwest. After moving I have transfered my scripts to this location and I must say how disappointed I am. I have been put on hold multiple times for over 10mins and each interaction with the technicians there is unpleasant. Given the volume of the store, the wait times for phone calls and when picking up really is unacceptable l, not to mention the terrible attitudes of the staff. Despite this, I will say the pharmacists at this location are very kind and caring, and are the only reason I will continue to use this location.

Pharmacy staff was very friendly and helpful. As I was picking up a prescription for my dog she took the time to split the pills and even check the expiration date on the chocolate milk I was purchasing for my son. Elizabeth went above and beyond. Thank you!

I’ve lived in the area for a few years now and used this CVS for my Rxs and occasional ups package pickup. The pharmacy staff and store clerks can be very rude especially over the phone. I recommend going elsewhere for a pharmacy.

I went to this pharmacy for 5 years and will never go again. They inputted my prescription wrong two times causing problems with my insurance company. The new lady that is the lead pharmacist is so rude! its crazy to me that she can work in the customer service industry. Do not use this pharmacy at all cost !!

I went in to buy eye drops and no one was at the register, so I went to ask a lady who's stocking the floor to help me. Some lady named Tammy checked me out, but she had to add a few words of her own to me "well no one up there?! Well should be standing there in front of the register" as she points to where I should he standing. I held back my tongue as I would of loved to tell her I was standing there and you just didn't look my way and she seems incompetent to do her job. I come to this CVS because it's close to my house but I don't appreciate the attitude.

I moved to Ferndale roughly three years ago and I moved away from a CVS where "everybody knows your name," it was a true neighborhood store. This store isn't quite as familial, but the cashiers are nice and helpful. The staff at the pharmacy is also very attentive and helpful.

The store is nice and UPS dropoff is convenient, but most of the regular pharmacists are always super grumpy and take days to fill a simple prescription.

Elizabeth and Maureen have always been very helpful to me. They call to make sure things are correct and go out of their way to help me all the time. Taking the time to introduce yourself to the staff helps. I am loyal because of the pharmacists.

Horrible pharmacy. The 1st time I filled a prescription there, their computer just lost my info 3 times while I waited, so what should have been a simple refill took over an hour. I should have listened to the 3 different people who say next to me while I waited and told me what a horrible pharmacy it was. But the next time I phoned in my refill and was given a pickup time. When I called at that time after not receiving the text message alert I had signed up for, they told me my insurance wouldn't cover the refill for a few more days. When were they planning on telling me that if I hadn't called myself?? I was traveling & needed the prescription filled, so I told them to fill it anyway, then sat around without a text until I called AGAIN only to find out it had been filed for an hour. FINALLY, I tried to transfer the next refill of the prescription to another pharmacy, but lo and behold, CVS's computers were down so the prescription couldn't be transferred. My husband had to drive across town to pick up what will be my LAST refill with this CVS. I can't say it enough: Do NOT use this pharmacy unless you have absolutely no choice!

I used to use the CVS in Warren . But since someone else picks up my Scripts now and they live near this one this is where my scripts are filled for the most part. This CVS sucks. Not all, but a lot that work in the pharmacy are extremely rude. It’s like they don’t want to be there. Don’t try asking them a question over the phone. Asking them anything and they react like you’re wasting their time

On SEVERAL occasions, this pharmacy has given me half of my prescription of a controlled, scheduled substance - while falsely labeling it as the full prescription, not informing me I was being shorted, and breaking their own procedures by not signing off on the bottle. If they're being that careless with something that could land them in JAIL, how careful are they being with YOUR prescriptions?

Lived close to this store for years - never had a problem with anything! Perhaps the reviews that mention rudeness are (sometimes) brought on by the customers themselves? The only thing I am intolerant of is intolerance ironically.

Rudest older fake tan Cashier at the pharmacy that I’ve ever encountered . I asked for my prescription back and took it to a friendly small pharmacy down the road. After this experience today, I’ve transferred my prescription to the friendly smaller pharmacy. Don’t need this kind of attitude when I’m giving you money!

The pharmacist or the tech was so rude. It’s not my fault the prescription was not ready. Poor attitude. Keep praying for these front line workers. Also they are short staffed. Somebody please apply.
