We recently had to move and switch daycare providers, but we miss Canine to Five so much. The employees are great with the dogs and are happy to see them arrive. Very efficient pickup/drop-off process. There’s several fun things to opt into every month, from photo shoots to specialty flavored Kongs. Would definitely recommend if you are looking for a place to board your dog!

I would give them a million stars if I could. When my dog, Bubba, and I moved back to Michigan 2.5 years ago, Bubba had just gone blind and I was so worried about him attending daycare. The staff at Canine to Five took such amazing care of my sweet boy, and he was always so excited to go to daycare. As soon as he realized where we were, his tail would start wagging and he would start barking to let everyone know he was there. He was so happy. My sweet boy passed away at home last weekend and the staff of Canine of Five has shown me so much love and support. They loved Bubba like he was their own and I will be forever grateful to Canine to Five for that.

I have been boarding dogs at Canine to Five since they opened. All 6 dogs have absolutely loved it. We have a Great Pyrenees puppy now, and she needs the pack setting and the stimulation provided at canine to five. The employees seem so happy to see the dogs too. They make me feel like my dogs are their favorites.

My pet and I love this place. The staff are so friendly and professional, the place is always clean and smells good. They're very accommodating and easy to communicate with. I would recommend Canine to Five Ferndale to anyone who wants their pet to experience a nice fun daycare with professional and highly trained staff.

You've heard the expression ..I wouldn't put a dog here...well this place is awful..looks great from outside but inside it's full of unhappy over packed dogs and a staff that seems overwhelmed...the owner of this nuthouse should take notice ..there are issues. It's overpriced and service is awful for what you pay. Advice avoid this place.

Canine to Five was great for me and my dog Moses. They took really good care of him, even with all his special needs. It was so nice to have a place so I could comfortably keep Moses while I was away.

The people make the place. Everyone is super helpful and clearly love dogs. Check-in is easy and so is check-out. They offer treats, pup-cups, etc. You can do meet-ups they organize at breweries and places like that . Parking is easy and the location is convenient to 696 and 75. I like to hit Urbanrest brewery nearby after I pick up my doge because they are dog-friendly. I can't speak to the boarding services but I would trust them if I needed to use them.

I'm a dog aunt. I don't really know much about dog ownership. However, lol, I'm also the kind of person that learns trial by fire so I volunteered as tribute to bring my cousin's dog to daycare. He's high energy, but very much an adult human's companion. Not much of a dog's dog, so given his temperament, we were told that he would do better with private play.Great! At least we knew there was some place where he could fit it. Given we had some other grooming needs, we figured it was the perfect opportunity to see if this was the best place for him when he needs so other human interaction and we need a bit of a break. These lovely folks were sweet to their cores. As I struggled to get off his collars, I asked for help and Sylvia very kindly comforted our pup and managed to get them off and lead him into the private play area.Upon returning, I was fighting for my life with a toddler in my arms and bewilderment. Never fear, the evening human helped me get the collar on, and even brought him to the car for me and for him hooked up to his special seat. He was clean, calm and happy. Exactly what you want from your pup after a day in daycare. We couldn't be happier with their care, compassion and ultimate service. This will be our place for as long as we can get to it.

Communications are thorough and timely. Flexible scheduling and payment options provide greater accessibility. Web cam feeds are clear enough to actually see what individual dogs are doing and who they're playing with. The rePAWt card is descriptive (and adorable!), as well as helpful to my training plan. GREAT customer service, both on the phone and in person! Happy to have so many options for my dog's growth offered by one company.

Our Australian Shepherd/Australian Cattle Dog mix, BeeBee, went to her first day of day-care today. Here’s what I love about Canine to Five:- Staff is very engaged with the dogs - they really assess their behaviors, personalities and play styles and are working with them throughout the day (not just cleaning up)- Management appears to have a real commitment to the staff - their training, engagement and satisfaction, which translates into a better experience for the dogs- This is a local and woman owned business- They operate with great efficiency at check-in/check-outBeeBee came hope happy and tired - exactly what I was looking for.

I took my puppy here for the first time this morning for an “Evaluation Day” and he was there for maybe an hour before I got a text that said to call them. In which they told me he had failed. I was watching him on camera for the entire time he was there- and I just think the way they introduce puppies, especially ones that have never been in a daycare setting before is very stressful & did not help my dog. He was clearly nervous, barking at other dogs bc he was behind a fence & in a corner… which they claimed is “barrier frustration/reactivity”, but I would assume that’s typical especially for a puppy that has never been at daycare before- let alone for under an hour. On top of it- he is a German Shepherd puppy so he’s not entirely leash trained yet- so he was pulling on the leash & apparently was trying to grab at their clothes- because he was nervous & stressed. I guess I just assumed they would be equipped to deal with puppies like this, but it wasn’t the case. It was very disappointing to say the least. I feel as if they should’ve given him more time to warm up- and not do it by keeping him in a corner where all the other dogs can come and jump on the gate (of course it would cause him to have anxiety??) I was just flabbergasted at the lack of effort they gave me and my dog. I’m pregnant & really wanted him to get a chance to play with other dogs and get some energy out.

Canine to Five Ferndale is amazing! My dog absolutely loves it here, the staff is all so helpful and friendly. We do daycare a minimum of twice a week for our very active lab and I never worry about going out of town anymore as I know Lincoln will be so happy in boarding. A wonderful place!

We enrolled our puppy in the puppy preschool program and we have seen so much improvement in our puppies behavior around other dogs. The staff are always very polite and they are always willing to answer any questions or accommodate anything our puppy needs (ie. restricted diets). Our puppy is always excited to go to daycare and completely tired out when we bring her home. Recently they added a training program with K9 Turbo and it has been amazing. They pick up your dog from daycare take them to K9 Turbo's facility just down the road and spend an hour training your pup and you get a file with videos and a report card showing how your dog did and what was worked on so you can continue the training at home. On top of all the enrichmentf, they offer live webcams and the staff take pictures of the dogs throughout the day and they get some great shots. I can't recommend this place enough!

Writing this review because I recently started living in the area, behind canine to five. I’ve always heard mixed reviews on this place however, I do not have a pup that attends this daycare. I’m writing a review because of the lack of common courtesy this facility has for the surrounding Residence…. It is by far not a sound proof facility and if you are planning on purchasing a home near by be ready for nonstop barking and loud obnoxious noises that come out of this place. I have a new born baby and this place cares for dogs day & night, 24/7. During the night it can get pretty loud and I’m not just talking about the dogs. The workers are constantly in & out, slamming, throwing, chucking garbage into the dumpster causing a ridiculous loud disturbance in the area. Many times waking me out of dead sleep and waking my new born who is sleep trained in noise environment. I thought things would get better the longer I stay here & maybe it happens every once in a while but this seems to be an every night thing… & in the summer, they keep the big garage door wide open during the day so be prepared for a migraine from hell. Now I know why rent is so cheap in this area, lol. specifically to accommodate the residence for what you will have to listen to day in & day out. As I addressed before, If you plan on purchasing a home near canine to five please be aware of this on going situation or invest in sound proof windows because they won’t & it does gets pretty ridiculous at times. Thank god I am just a renter for now & have the option to move out/away and that is exactly what we plan to do come spring of 2024.EDIT: it is now the next day. 9:15am!!! My husbands only day off in the week and he can’t even sleep in because of the obnoxious 15 dogs all barking at once echoing the entire neighborhood! This is insane!!! Please invest in sound proofing the facility or MOVE LOCATIONS! A consistent disturbance. people don’t want to listen to a warehouse full of barking dogs at the crack of dawn! At this point I’m so fed up that I’ve chose to write a letter of complaint to the city of Ferndale.

Terrible communication, will try to keep your deposit even after they cancel your booking. Will cancel your booking 10 minutes before you were supposed to check in. Good convenient place if that's what you need. Not good for dogs that need more attention even though you're paying for it***Update to the owners response.I got a cancellation email March 18th about the facility being full that day not due to being banned for any behavioral issues which seemed to be the reason for the same day cancellation at check in time. Waited a few days to see if the refund would be processed but it was never processed. I had to send a follow up email on the 22nd to get the refund. I have no doubts that had I not followed up they probably would've kept the money. Which is not surprising since the main complaint is terrible communication.

I'd like to share our first and I believe the last experience with Canine to 5 in Ferndale. It was our first boarding for our 1 year old Lab. We had to pay for one extra day, so they'll see if he is ok to stay. And that's ok if... He was evaluated good for staying. We had a week cruise so we left him there.. We've left a contact person because we would not have connection. They called next day that he is barking, pulling the leash and mouthing. To me this facility is specialized to work with dogs, and to me they should figure out if he is stressed out and how to calm down or treat your dog. And on the evaluation day I personally saw on camera that many dogs were mouthing our dog, and no one from the staff was really concerned. We called them back on the second day when we had connection. We heard complains that he is barking... bla...bla..bla. They said they want to put him in a private play place and we have to pay extra $30 per day for that. We refused asking them to wait and try to pay more attention to him because mouthing is not common for his behavior, and we asked to call our contact person in case they will be moving him to the private play. So nobody called, they moved him to the private play, and you can't see him there, there are no cameras. When we called upon our coming back, we were told they moved him, but they will not charge us extra, which we are grateful for. But nobody notified us or the contact person, nobody could find him on cameras. Then what's the point for us to leave our dog and worry where is he?We picked him up with infection in his eye, he had a papilloma on his his paw. I am nor sure if they have there infection or sanitary issues. No one talked to us, they just handled the dog and that's it.My advice please double think if you want to leave your dog there if he doesn't have perfect behavior and super well trained, and doesn't have separation anxiety. Unfortunately we didn't see any professional attitude there. And read many good reviews. But dog lodging or day care should not complain that your dog is barking. And to me they should have staff trained and understanding dogs' behavior.

If you’re looking for a place that will give your pup the love and attention needed, this is it!!!Nala is a Silver Labrador Retriever that came home to me in April (best decision I made during quarantine). However, due to lockdown and no socialization, I was worried she would have a hard time meeting new dogs & people. As soon as everything opened up, I made sure to sign her up for daycare. The first day I picked Nala up from daycare, all my worries washed away. She was a rockstar! Nala was very active and social, as well as being cautious of other pup’s spaces. My doggo was treated like the queen she is. On her second day, she led the way to the door. This was the next sign that I knew she loved coming to Canine to Five. I doubt this could have been possible if it weren’t for the OUTSTANDING team working with these pups.In summarization, Canine to Five is an amazing place to leave your dogs - without worry. The people here really care about your dog’s wellbeing, and will do anything to provide the best experience for your pup AND you!

100% the best of the best! My dog comes home tired and happy every visit. I have a 2 year old Corgi so hard to drain energy. He just chills and sleeps after which is kinda amazing!

I was taking my dog to a different daycare and the 3rd time we went she would not get out of the car. I decided to switch companies and found Canine to Five in Ferndale. Now when I ask if she wants to go to daycare she runs to the door with excitement. They are wonderful and treat the dogs the right way!

So far we’ve had a great experience! We took our dog, Tate for his first evaluation day which went so well! We loved the energy and friendliness of the staff. They were quick to make sure we knew about a play scratch (which he received prior to his visit). I know our boy is in good hands here!

They failed to email, text call or have a direct conversation regarding the issues they were having with me and unilaterally decided to refuse anymore booking. Which also included canceling a booking for boarding and did not inform me of this. I found out through an attempt to make a resy for day care the day before I left and noticed that my boarding rsvp was canceled.Highly unprofessional, poor communication, overwhelmed staff, not sure if the pups have water in the kennels. Mine were always showing signs of having water being withheld from them when they returned home.Edited to respond to their Reply. They are making false accusations which is a concern and even more unprofessional. Any of you put medications in the pups food to make sure they take them? To shed a little more light, it took me a minute to learn all the rules, I have a lot going on and my priority was to get the pups to day care, make sure they eat, get their medications and then make it back in time before they close to pick them up. I had a super tight squeeze because of where I work and was arriving to work late in the morning. Once it sunk into my head that every morning I would have to fill out a medication sheet I did just that. Then I got a message on one of the last days before they booted me out stating, oops they forgot to give Romeo his evening medication. So now they have a tranquilizer floating around and Romeo never got it. Wonder why I put it in their food? I think this place would be a great fit if you work 9-5, want to pay extra for your pups to eat and don't have reactive puppers. I got some cool places now to keep my loves and me happy. I had to wait a bit because of availability, people are mad chill, not ready to kick you out and make false and misleading statements on the Goggle. Best of luck if you choose Canine to Five, buyer beware.

We had a great couple of months taking our puppy here. However, we've noticed the staff being less energetic correlating with more problems arising recently. The last few times our pup went here, he came home smelling of complete urine, which never happened before. I noticed on the cameras that they weren't taking him out to play as often as they used to. He still enjoyed it, but I think their attention to detail has gone down or maybe they're understaffed. Either way, this daycare is not as great as it's advertised so be cautious of bringing your pups here.Editing to respond to the owner:Your team actually did not communicate any of this with me. The person at the front desk told me a dubious remark about Da Vinci, which I haven't heard from any of the other daycares that he has been going to. There was no communication that he would be allowed to go into adult group play once neutered. There was no communication as to why I was not seeing him on the puppy camera as often. You're inflating your comment to make it seem like I am at fault, when really it was your team's lack of communication that led to this bad experience. And he still has come home smelling like Pee the last 6 times that he attending Canine to Five, which doesn't happen at the other day cares. And that leads me to believe something is wrong with your facility, and not him.

We love Canine to Five! We’ve been bringing our sweet but timid lab-mix rescue, Archie, to daycare a couple times a week at the Ferndale location for the past six months. It has been a wonderful experience for him and for us! The staff have excellent customer service, and they care for your dog like their own. Over the months, the Ferndale staff have been patiently building a bond with my fearful little pup, which has helped build his confidence outside of daycare as well! He is always so excited to go play with his friends. Their grooming and boarding options are equally good, the facility is nice, the online reservation system is convenient, and I love the webcams and daily pictures on Facebook. Canine to Five’s exceptional care, service, and dedication to your dog’s development and happiness are all well worth the cost.

Canine to Five has made such a fun difference in our puppy’s life! If we have a busy day, we feel so much better knowing he’s having fun with his dog and human friends at doggy daycare/puppy preschool rather than being home alone all day. Their boarding service is also excellent! Our pup always comes home happy and tired.

My dog loves Canine to 5 and so do I! The workers are so friendly and professional. Puppy school has helped my dog learn to socialize so now we can take him everywhere with us without having to worry about his behavior around new dogs. I can’t recommend them enough!

The staff is friendly and attentive, and I can tell they love dogs. We recently boarded our dog for 3 days and asked for the bath service before pick up. From what I could tell, it looked and smelled like the bath was only water in select areas on our dog. His ears, paws and rear end were still filthy so I gave him a bath right when we got home. I called the office and they issued a refund for the service and gave us a credit for a bath on the next visit, no questions asked which was appreciated.
