This was my second trip to the area but my first visit to Crane's. My friend and I took our girls here for a mommy daughter get away for mother's Day weekend. This place was amazing. Everything we had was excellent and our server was fantastic. Our girls had the chicken tender meal, and the cinnamon roll plus apple cider and hot cocoa. They loved it. I tried a bite of my daughters cinnamon roll and it was hands down the best I've ever had. My friend and I both had the two hands sandwich, a apple raspberry hard cider mimosa, and the pie flight. Everything was exceptional. The bread on the sandwich was soft and delicious, the bacon and eggs were well cooked, the avocado was just right and the jalapeno jam added the perfect amount of spice. The mimosas were delicious. The pie flights were divine. The blueberry pie was my favorite and the raspberry rhubarb was my friends favorite. Our server was phenomenal. He had great energy and was very helpful with suggestions. He gave us excellent service despite them being very busy and when my daughter forgot her jacket he even ran it out to us.We will definitely be returning on our next trip.Kid-friendliness: They have a good kids menu with several options, excellent cinnamon rolls, great hot chocolate and cider. My daughter really enjoyed rolling down the hill out front.

Delicious comfort food! Wish we would have come hungrier to partake in the pie flight - they looked amazing. The little store had a ton of frozen sweet and savory pies. The inside decor had a lot of fun older signs, ads, and kitsch.Kid-friendliness: Family friendly, kids menu

My dudes, this is the place that Cracker Barrel wishes it was. It's definitely worth a stop here if you are in the area. You can get a flight of super tasty pies and pair it with gelato, then wash it down with a flight of hard ciders. The pretzels and cheese were top notch as well. The service was quick and pleasant. Prices were reasonable. Decor was quirky and fun to peep around at.Grabbed a cookie on the way out from the bakery and it was delicious as well. I would be back here quite a bit if I lived nearby, but I'd also be like thirty pounds heavier.

This place is so authentic and sweet. The staff is friendly and helpful. One of them even helped me fix my broken zipper with a paperclip. Talk about service!I cannot emphasize enough The deliciousness of the blueberry scone with lemon drizzle. It was perfectly crisp and light and sweet and savory.I'll never quit thinking about it! Thank you!

Hard to put into words what makes this place so great, but it’s nothing short of GREAT!You could taste the freshness in the ingredients and see the love for the place all around. The apple butter Gouda toast was unlike anything I’ve ever had before and we all couldn’t stop talking about it!!Don’t forget to stop in at the bakery on your way out!

Update to my last review. It's been almost 7 years since I was last here. How time flies. The atmosphere here is still the quaint little hide away, that feels like you jumped back in time by about 50 years. Overall a very comfortable, if somewhat touristy place.I started out by ordering an appetizer the Apple Butter & Gouda Toast ($12). This is grilled Sourdough topped with apple butter, smoked Gouda, and honey drizzle. It was unique and fantastic. It's a little hard to describe, but the apple butter and Gouda, plus I thought I tasted cinnamon and I think the honey might have been slightly spiced. Yum was it good. For my main meal I again ordered the Sloppy Joe ($11). I very much enjoyed it this time. It got it's own unique spices that maybe I just enjoy more now 7 years later. I got the chips this time and no complaints there. Also the Cider was much better this time, nice and cold. The person I was with ordered the Burger of the Day ($14). Today's was Boursin Bacon Burger. They apparently did an excellent job cooking it Medium Rare, and the burger was classified as excellent. So much so they repeated themselves the next day stating how much they enjoyed the burger. From the bakery I got a Frozen Pumpkin pie, a Frozen loaf of Apple Butter Bread, and a Cinnamon Roll. The Cinnamon Roll had nuts mixed into the cinnamon mixture. I don't like nuts so that was a bummer. However if you like nuts it's a good cinnamon roll. The Bread was fantastic. Lol, I got home and cut the frozen pie into quarters and put a quarter in the fridge to thaw. Well I didn't realize, because I didn't read, the pie needed to be cooked 1st, from frozen. I still baked the mush and it was good. I'm guessing the other three quarters baked correctly will be even better. The service was excellent. Everybody was very friendly and helpful.Overall this time was an easy 5 stars. Would I return? Yes. Excellent Bakery and very good food.

Fine establishment, with fresh food and a great selection of wines, ciders, and pies. Pies in my opinion are the real winner here - super great. The food is good, albeit a little overpriced. Cider is good, but not outstanding in my opinion.Would love to try more pie. Would come here more often if the prices were reduced for each sandwich by $2 or so.

We found this cute orchard, and restaurant from some nice folks at CampIt (down the road). They raved about the pie so of course we got the Pie Flight .. with the ice cream! Don’t forget that. The food was a good traditional lunch, nothing over the top.The ambiance was also reminiscent of the Dutch history that originated in Michigan in the 1800s. It was nice to see all the imagery, and lifestyle. The staff was very welcoming. Right when you drive up you can see the beautiful orchard.. unfortunately was closed when I went.Come for the pie, stay for the ranch lmao

This a very eclectic atmosphere, come for the wine and ciders and stay for the food!Get the Baked Pretzel and cider cheese, you won't regret it! Have fun with the flights of wines and ciders. Grilled PB & J for the kids, lots of different foods for you and me!Wish I could have taken photos of the food, but it was already gone before I got my phone out

This gem is located in the South West part of Michigan State. We had a very nice lunch, I had the tuna melt sandwich and my wife had the pot roast with pita and feta cheese dip. We really liked both sandwiches but not so much the pita dip. To drink we order hot cider which was delicious! We bought a white wine Chardonnay and took a few pictures outside.Everything was clean, organized, easy to find and park, therefore it deserves 5 stars!

Cranes is a cool spot to come listen to some music or grab a 🍩 donut and chill! We stopped here for lunch and a flight of pie. Yes I said a flight of pie. They give you four smaller pieces of pie and you can order gelato to top it off. The Apple cider was good lunch was good and the pie was delicious! They even have wine tasting in the back for you to enjoy. We bought a few things in their store and headed on our way. Good food!

Crane's offers a little bit of history, good food, cider, wine and of course pie. I liked that I could sit down and get table service or if I wanted to just grab some wine, hard cider or pie I could just stop in the store. They also sell honey, preserves and blueberry syrup. The apple pie was served warm with a side of ice cream, very good! There is a bar area for tasting wine and the guy serving wine explained in detail about the wines. The place has an antique vibe but I had a good experience and I'm not into antiques!

A great country-style restaurant featuring a lot of options from the Crane’s U-Pick next door. From endless apple cider to warm pie flights, you’ll leave here full and happy. Their food is simple and doesn’t try to overachieve or add too many frills. But be sure to get here earlier than you’re hoping to eat, especially during peak harvest season! I’ve seen waits get as long as two hours before.

Two hour drive for us, but it was worth every minute in the truck with three kids. The food was amazing, the cider/wine was delicious, the pie flight - amazing and the apple picking was fun. HIGHLY recommend making the drive. They have the World's best cherry cider...THE WORLD'S BEST - legitimately - paperwork proves it. I have to say it was the best cherry cider I've ever tasted. The gift shop area was a bit pricey, but the restaurant was very reasonably priced. (5 meals, pie flight, cider flight and a glass of hard cider -$75). I had the Turkey burger while my daughter had the vegetarian - we cut ours in half and traded - every thing was phenomenal. My son and husband agreed their burgers were some of the best they'd ever had.One thing I noticed and respect was they don't ask how you want your burger cooked - they bring it to you the way they make and it's perfect!

Great little restaurant/tasting room in wine country Michigan. Well decorated dining hall with many antique decorations. We had the cranes burger which was excellent. A flight of wines and ciders and a flight of pies. Yes, a flight of pies. The service was quick and the prices were very reasonable. We also purchased a wine to go.

Not sure why this place has only a 4.5 when it should easily be a 4.8 or 4.9.Restaurant and bakery is very easy to find but note that the pick and patch is not open year round.Outdoor seating available and dog friendly!Food was absolutely delicious. We got the turkey pesto melt, apple gruyre French toast, and a donut plus scone. The baked goods will change your life.

Cranes pies a consistent perfect 10. Sloppy joes very tasty and would definitely return to eat them. One issue I had was the drinking water at the table was horrible. Make sure you bring in a bottle of water from the car. Love their food just bad experience with the water.

The go to place for fresh pies and cider donuts! I love the raspberry pie. Take a frozen pie to bake later at home.Checkout the restaurant as well. Then pick your own fruit, so you can work off that slice of pie you just had with lunch! 🤣

I was very pleasantly surprised. We had the apple butter Gouda toast, tuna melt, rhubarb raspberry pie, and a flight of dry ciders and wine. They were all great!! The Gouda toast with a slight sweetness was perfectly balanced against the dry apple cider. So tasty! The rhubarb pie was full of fruit and also very balanced, not too sweet. The outside area looked lovely. My only complaint is that there is not an outside eating area for the main dining/menu. It would have been really nice to have sat outside while enjoying our meal and probably would have ordered more/stayed longer.

The place was packed and crazy, but we had the best server I can remember in a long time - Jerome. He juggled running the bar and tables and didn't miss a beat. The sample flights of wine and cider were fantastic. I'll also add the flight of pie was great as well. It was a great experience made better by a great worker.

Picked up some cinnamon rolls. No clear instruction on how to “warm” them. Do we thaw from being frozen? Do we warm them in the oven? Temperature and how long? But the worst part is…there was a long brown piece of hair stuck inside the rolls when we unwrapped them.

Fabulous find in Fennvile! I cannot describe the pleasure here. The pies, the crisps, the servers named Sheri, Lanie, Marah! Lifeling servers! This is a local Michigan hangout, beloved by all who visit. It is a must for me. Anytime of the year. No place I would rather be. My family favorite. We have come here for generations. Something for everyone here. Yum! Their pies are in many Health Food Stores now!
