They really have been going out of their way, the experiences I’ve had shows how much they care about our pets and our business. Thank you James, and thank you Tolonen Love this pet shop, always try and buy local when possible! They need our businessThey have great quality food for our fur babies.(But please, please try and keep our pups Farmina food in stock if possible. It’s a great company with high quality ingredients Shiloh loves!)Really dislike buying from the big online stores.

I have found my forever grooming spot. Allison has to be the best groomer ever!! My mini labradoodle, Hachi, came out looking so amazing. Thank you to all the staff here that work very hard to achieve these levels of accuracy. The one picture I have does not do it justice!

I moved back into the area a few months ago and had been on the hunt for a new groomer for my dog. I really liked my old groomer (from out of state) and the couple that I tried before I went here did not do a good job on my Corgi. I had a high bar but Tolonen definitely reaches it! Always satisfied with how my dog turns out after his bath and trim. They even brush his teeth too! You also get a discount on the days your dog gets groomed too, so I wait to stock up on treats and food until the next grooming appointment. All the employees here are extremely knowledgeable and friendly. They sell good quality food that is hard to come by anywhere else for both dogs and cats.

Tolonen is great for my dogs nail trims. I am very picky about their nails but they always get it right! I believe the groomers name was Elle. The store also has great weight and good prices. This is a community gem. Thanks!

Third time I’ve had a poor interaction with this store. Won’t try again. They offered to order a different size dog coat than they had in stock. Thought that was great. Didn’t hear anything for two weeks until I called. They weren’t able to order it through one of their distributors and were unwilling to order it directly from the company. I’ve lost two important weeks of not being able to purchase a coat in this cold weather and so now stock everywhere will be even more depleted. Wish I could support a local business.

I really like the location, it's convenient, and prices are fair. I love bringing my dog Max here for a bath and blow out. He's really anxious and whines but the staff is very kind and accommodating. Max is happy and looks great. I also bought some freeze dried chicken hearts and both my pets, Max and Flynn love them.

Tolonen Family Pet in downtown Farmington Michigan is a jewel to this community. James the manager is great! He assisted me with my “Grand-dog” when his collar came off as I was trying to take him to get groomed. He immediately went and locked the door so my big boy, scared of a bath Ziggy wouldn’t get out.The groomers are always patient with him and do a fantastic job (Nails and all).I absolutely love this Pet store! Exceptional service from the time you enter to the time you checkout at the register. We purchase his food, collars, treats, toys, and supplements for his coat etc; right here in this pet and people friendly wonderful shop❣️Good service deserves a “shout out”.

Got my dog groomed here and they were wonderful! I let them know she has anxiety and arthritis in her back and they were able to accommodate with no problem. I have a high shedding dog and they were great at removing a lot of the extra hair. The pet store itself is really nice too!

Omg!!! If I could give 100 stars I would. First of all everyone here is so nice, second I brought 2 puppies in who were terrified of clippers and scissors, that being said I tried to cut my dog's hair myself and it ended up patchy with bald spots. Took both max and Chloe here and they not only fixed the mistakes I made they transformed my little poodle mixes into these beautiful distinguished babies. They also smelled so amazing I'm going to take my dogs here for everything from now on. Great for first time dog owners and great for dogs and puppies who have grooming fears. About amazing job from the groomer. Just wonderful I'm so satisfied.

Moving to a new area, I'm always concerned about finding a quality and affordable groomer. The groomers and all of the workers at Tolonen have been absolutely fantastic. Very friendly and amazing quality grooms for the price. Grooming Bichons/Poodles can be a difficult task but I'd highly recommend them for all your grooming and pet supply needs!

GREAT pet store! They have these amazing Green DR Dog Treats, and my dog LOVES THEM! He won't eat any other CBD treat. They have products I've never seen anywhere else, and the prices are VERY affordable. Sofia was my cashier and she is super nice and very helpful. The owner is also very generous and extremely kind. This store is a 10/10 for sure!

Took both of my Soft Coated Wheaten dogs to be groomed today at Tolonen Family Pet Store. It has been a long time since we could find good groomers for the dogs and their hair was unusually matted. Even though they had to be cut really short they did a great job on their faces and they were still super cute!! Thank you for taking great care of our puppies. I would definitely recommend!!

The staff is friendly. I'm very particular about my dog's grooming and have been searching for a groomer to my liking since the previous one we loved moved away. Allie did a really nice job grooming my dog, including attempts to calm him when he was initially scared. I appreciated her concern and also her understanding when my dog nervous-tinkled on the floor. Also, the price was very reasonable. I will be back!

i went in here today because my coworker told me about this place & omg i love it there!! the staff is SO friendly and i truly felt welcomed there, unlike at other pet stores i’ve been to. also their treat section rocks! there are so many novel protein chews that you really can’t find anywhere else. my dog went crazy for the muskrat tails especially! i definitely will be recommending this place to my friends!

Wonderful job on my Bernies Golden Lab Doodle Mix Service Dog. Will be coming back to Tolonen for getting both my dog's hair done they are a family small businese. Wonderful employees, they are phenomenal ,they're great when it comes to customer, treating customers right.They care about their customers. This is far better place I would say then going to a PetSmart or Petco or pet supplies to get your dog down there this is a phenomenal place they are affordable I forgetting your pets room.The groomers here really care about customers, I can't say the same for the typical 'Retail Pet Conglomerate Stores'.These are trustworthy groomers at Tolonen, they listen to you, they do what needs to be done, and they do it right the first time. They don't mess up, they don't leave ragged split edges on nails, or anything, affordable and get your money's worth.I hundred percent recommend this family ran Tolonen Pet Store place a hundred percent ten times over. Here is where one can get affordable service. If you support s.all business I say check this wonderful place.

Great family owned store, much better than the big national chains. They offer a ton of natural, real animals chews and treats that you can’t find anywhere else. Very clean store and super friendly and helpful staff. They came out and personally loaded my car when I got a few bags of heavy food. I love to support locally owned business!

We just moved here from out of state, and our groomer in Minnesota was so amazing, so we were nervous about finding a new groomer in MI....we brought Mila in last weekend after not liking the other groomer we brought her to (different store) and they did awesome! The butt hair area(she is an aussie mix) was a little shorter than what I like....but it will grow back, and she didnt use clippers or shave it off so it will grow back fine. I used to work in the pet/grooming industry and she really did a great job and was very friendly. We will def be back regularly for grooming. Thank you guys!🧡💜
