This is a very good store because the manager truly loves and cares about his animals as well as his customers. The only thing I can say is that because of the limited staff, they are trying their best to cater to all and phone calls coming in customers waiting at the cash wrap.People ask people asking questions. They are handling it all, and the location is well-lit. They're doing their best in the current times with little to no staff. Keep up the great work!

It's truly a delight to call this Petco my home base. The warm greetings and attentive care I receive every visit create a sense of belonging. Scott's exceptional leadership sets the standard for what a general manager should embody. I feel immensely grateful to have this Petco conveniently located near my home; it's an experience I wouldn't trade for anything else.

Lazy grooming people. I set up an appointment for my puppy and they wouldn’t take him because they’re lazy. We walked in the door, went to the pet grooming register and the first worker came and said the groomer was on break and walked away(thanks I guess?). The second came and let me know she would let the groomer know and to walk the store and they would call me up. I got called up and the groomer took a look at him and said “we can’t do it because he’s too matted”. I’ve brought him in a couple of times before without issues at other locations. He is just fluffy with minor matting as you can see from the photo. We drove 25 minutes just to be turned away. I cancelled my petco vital care and will not use petco anymore because of lazy workers at this location. Waste of time and money for no reason.Update: The petco in Allen Park took him right away a few days later without an issue and has restored my faith in petco grooming. I'm going to leave the 1 star since this location deserves less but, the Allen Park petco will be getting a 5 star review.

They have a designated dog training section and pet grooming area.STAFF & CUSTOMER SERVICEThe staff was kind and professional. One lady in particular stopped what she was doing to ask if I needed help (she noticed I looked lost lol). She answered all of my questions and was super funny!SERVICESThey have a lot!- Dog Training- Grooming- Vetco (Clinic that comes in some days out of the week for specific medical services)- Vet Affiliates (For full service exams and other medical treatments)PRICES - $$Fair- They have everyday low prices on animal food and other supplies.- They have a Free rewards program (with paid options for more deals)- They have a price list online and in-store for their services. They are affordable! (A good amount of vaccines are under $55 each)- Check out their website for deals on full service vet exams!SELECTION (ANIMALS)Moderate sized store so they have a decent variety of animals but not massive/comprehensive.

Just experienced the rudest individual working on Saturday, April 27 at 7 pm. From his unprofessional dramatic conduct informing me how and where to stand in line, to his over selling customers who stated multiple times to him “we’d like more time to consider whatever he was trying to sell them and ignoring everyone else.Zero customer service and nasty attitude. Awful experience and would never return based upon his rude unprofessional conduct towards the customers as he muttered under his breath “ I love my job” and rolled his eyes at me. Shameful behavior. Petco store-you can do better.

Russ at Petco Orchard Lake Rd in Farmington Hills just saved me a lot of money. I have three animals. A dog, cat and two guinea pigs.Russ thanks for the price match discount and the enrollment into the Petco protection programs for the animals.Keep up the good work 👍🏾

Customer service at this establishment was superb! This is not my normal PetCo, but I was in the area and had time to stop in and pick up my pup's Whole Heart dog food (which is really good and a Petco only brand). Steve at the register was so kind. Before he totaled me out he checked my rewards and noted I had $20 available for use. He didn't have to check, but he did. Conversation was pleasant and full of light. He's probably a Light Worker. Anyway, I will go out of my way for that kind of service.

This is an overall review of Petco’s grooming service. They ask you a million times to ensure that you bring vaccinations, send you a million reminders of your appointment, yet fail to mention that the vaccines need to be administered 2 days prior to grooming.We changed our whole weekend schedule to work in this grooming appointment and get our dog vaccinated for her said appointment. deeply disappointed in my experience.This is our second appointment here. I was already annoyed by the bait and switch in pricing from the first appointment ($86 stated when making appointment to $120+ day of). Since they did a good grooming job we decided to go back, but are not inclined to return after this.

We took a puppy training class with Lauren. I can’t say enough positive things about Lauren! She really invested a lot of effort, time and thought in meeting us and our puppy where she was at. She went so far and above helping setting us up for success with a working breed dog. Lauren has a really deep understanding of dogs, dog behavior and offers several options for preventing long-term issues.Thanks Lauren! $1 per gallon sale is going on till 8/24. This particular location has all sizes readily available! Their betta selection is pretty nice too. Not sure of dog/cat products. Overall the entire store was really clean and the staff very helpful.

I've been taking my 3yr old cockapoo here for 2+ years. I thought I found a good groomer in Jenn R but no she completely lied about what happened to my pup in his last grooming. She said she thought hair got in his eye so she flushed it, I didn't buy it because the hair was bald above and beneath his eye. She was insensitive to my concern and defensive and sent me a heartless text. I took my pup to the vet the same day and he had a huge scratched cornea (green in pic). The general manager Scott was also a total tool! They don't care about our pets this is just a job for them!

Had a grooming appointment scheduled. I rescheduled it and then the store updated it/ canceled it. Didn’t receive an email or call that they did whatever. Then they booked it for the next day and claim that my dog was matted on his legs and it’s an up charge. He’s not matted he has curly hair. Took him home to comb straight through his hair. It wasn’t that hard. Whomever needs to do better.
