Very friendly environment! Our kids had space to move around and explore while we experienced some wine tasting. We picked our favorite and got a bottle for the house. All the staff was very helpful, and we will add this to our list of favorite wine stops in Northern Michigan!

Staying in the area , we wanted to visit a local farm specifically for u-pick, and Royal Farms was the closet and highly-rated and reccomended. The store front has locally made goods and a variety of baked goods and sweets. You can walk over to the orchard, or drive up on the small path, if you have children or want to drive back your bushels instead of carrying them.We came at the end of the weekend, and only peaches were available. It was slimmer pickings, but the ones that were ready were delicious! The prices are fair, and they even allow dogs to walk around the orchard with you. It was nice as we had the whole orchard to ourselves!Great stop for a unique experience!

Apple cherry cider is one of the tastiest and most efficient juices I have tried. Whole area looks beautiful all around.

Tried to go to the place next door, but too many people and too few masks, so we left and visited Royal Farms. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful, they clearly care about operating safely during the pandemic, and overall it was a great experience. We had a pasty for lunch outside, and didn't go check out the sit down restaurant part or tasting room.

This is a great place to stop for small bag of apples, baked goods or even all things cherry. Some books for children, t-shirts too. They do offer hot coffee to go. The display case included single servings of pie, large coconut macaroons, Ohio buckeye cookies, various large cookies and whole pies. This farm also offers tasting of ciders in the back ip.the hill and share appetizers. Seating inside and outside. Very nice place. Support small business.

My husband decided on a whim to quickly stop by and try the cherry pie. It was awesome and really the best we've ever had!!!! There were seven of us during our trip and sharing one pie was not enough as we wanted more! We didn't have a chance to go back before heading back to Chicago as I am sure there's more excellent items available. The cherry raspberry preserves we bought is also very good! Now that we discovered this place, we'll surely stop by whenever we vacation in Northern Michigan.

Stopped here on our way up to Charlevoix, for a hard cider tasting. So many that they make, on tap. Our favorites were Royal Reserve and Pink Bikini! Sat out on the back deck and it was perfect. My husband and I each got a flight of 4 for $9, but they also have flights of 6, and wine to taste as well.

We were going up north along the coast and were looking for a snack. We stopped at Royal Farms. We got a slice of cherry pie and it was better than any cherry pie we have ever tasted from coast to coast in the US.

Stopped in on our way to the airport shortly before they closed. My husband got a flight of wines and I ordered their caramel apple cider. We both had a homemade meat pastie. Everything was so good! We also picked up some dried cherry items and got some wine/cider to go. The people working were all very helpful and so friendly! Always so refreshing to be able to visit a family owned establishment. Would highly recommend!

We drive out of our way to get this delicious pie. The buttery crust is the absolute best. Their pasties are such a treat too. My husband sampled many ciders at the tasting room and approved. We come back every year.

Fantastic staff, wine, cider and views. I recommend running up that hill and catching the views of the vineyard and lake, especially at sunset.

We LOVE Royal Farms market! We have stopped here for the past 8+ years for pasties, jams and ALWAYS get the ice cream sandwiches, they are hands down the best around!

Super friendly staff, nice selection of fresh goods. The strawberry rhubarb pie is AMAZING. This was a nice change of pace, not a huge "production" like the friendly neighbors to the north. My kids bought some stickers for their water bottles and paid with a bunch of coins. The cashier was really patient with them, I was impressed. A highly recommended place to visit!

I love the warm and friendly welcome I receive each time I visit Royal Farms. The family that owns this place obviously values their customers and the community they serve. They are perfect “Up North” ambassadors, insuring that they remain a part of my family’s tradition when visiting the area each year. I cannot recommend them enough, and I cannot get enough of their homemade ciders. The Pink Bikini is the absolute best cider I’ve ever had! A trip to the Traverse City / Charlevoix area would not be complete without a trip to their tasting room to down a few ciders and a couple of pasties. I love, love, LOVE this place ♥️

By far our favorite place in Northern Michigan, not just Charlevoix area - all of Northern Michigan. Everything is amazing - Honeycrisp Apple Crumb pie, U-Pick fruit, pasties, tamales, hard cider - all mouth watering goodness. Most of all, every person we have ever talked to there has been insanely friendly, you’ll feel like a regular the second you walk in the door. We’ll gladly support this family business - take all our money!

Can I just say...YUM!! Stopped into the bakery/gift shop and fell in love. Such a cute store! Everything we grabbed was beyond good: sour cherry balls, chocolate chip granola, chicken pasties and peanut butter chocolate chip cookies. My husband had to keep me from buying one of everything!

We were staying in the area for the weekend and discovered this gem. They have so many great things going on. All the ladies who work there are beyond great. They are very helpful and courteous and even suggested places to check out during our stay. It’s always nice to get a local’s perspective. The cherry pies...WHOA! I don’t think I want to eat anyone else’s cherry pie forevermore because Royal Farms pies are so delicious. That’s saying a lot because my family loves pies. Also, had a pastie for the first time, the breakfast one, and it was spot on. Oh, I can’t forget to say that the cider/wine bar is awesome. We took some cider to go. We are grateful for such good people putting out great products. We highly recommend stopping into Royal Farms, ASAP!

Bought a cherry pie here that was to die for! One of the best cherry pies we have ever had. A friend who doesn’t care for pie even liked it.

Awesome little place! Every detail is tasteful and super cute. All of the baked goods are delish. Cherry Slushie and cherry pie was really good! Do yourself a favor and go to the tasting room for a flight of wine and hard cider...all were so good! I didn't realize the tasting room had an actual food menu too...small menu but it is perfect because everything is sooo good on it! Mac n cheese is phenomenal! Every staff member is warm, welcoming and helpful. We were in the area for 1 week and I think we stopped in every day!!

While on vacation in Michigan, we stopped by Royal Farms for some apples. When we pulled up to the door, we realized we were there a few minutes after closing. We were ready to leave, when an employee opened the door, and told us to come in. That was such a nice surprise! We bought apples but admit that the baked goods looked tempting! This example of real customer service isn't common today. Both employees in the store were warm and welcoming even though they should have been on your way home. I highly recommend Royal Farms!

My family and I were on our way to Traverse City and we stopped in for the first time the other day. My wife and I did a wine tasting. The wines were delicious! The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. We bought 3 bottles! Also sampled the hard ciders.....yum! We also got some dried cherries and cherry salsa. Our whole family loved these. My wife can't wait to order more goodies.

Stopped on a whim, and I’m glad we did! The scones are amazing. We ate one in the parking lot and went back and bought more. The staff is also very pleasant and helpful. Thank you!

We stopped here with a few hungry kids after a couple hours at the beach. The billboard advertised lunch and some delicious sounding asparagus soup so we thought it would be a nice place to enjoy a meal. The soup was pre-packaged and cold in a refrigerator. The lunch option was a turkey sandwich. Nothing else has offered except a couple sorry looking salads, and everything was just a small selection in the refrigerator. I would not call this a lunch place. Staff was not overly friendly or helpful although they did offer to heat up the soup in the microwave, and prices were high. We spent a total of $80 for cheese and crackers and a couple sandwiches. Maybe I would feel differently if I sampled the wines and ciders, but with the advertised lunch on the billboard I was hoping to get a few lunch choices.

Stopped in 1st time. Offered traditional bake goods and such. (The pumpkin bread was still warm from the oven). Tasting room offered wide selection of ciders. Also tried 2 dry wines and they were way over our expectations! Both blends but excellent! Also a nice dry cider which is rare! Will return!!

I have stopped 2x before today while driving North from Traverse City. So glad I did! Today I stopped an additional 2x on my way to TC and then on the way North. As soon as I left, I regretted not getting more hard cider so I stopped again. The very nice lady in the bakery/store area was great! I wish they were closer to where I lived. I plan on stopping whenever I am in the area or making a special trip just to go here. When I made the decision to go South, I planned the trip around being able to go here.

Nice new tasting room. They also have food like pasties, soup etc. We didn't venture in but they have a market too.
