Amy and her team of professionals left me in complete awe and speechless on our wedding day! My vision was to “bring the outdoors, in” and they absolutely nailed it. Their attention to detail, their creativity and just the genuine passion for their craft transformed our wedding into the wedding of our dreams. The tiny details, like adding the bumblebee to my bridal bouquet in memory of my father who passed away, meant the absolute world to me… the planning process went seamlessly with them and even if they ran into hiccups over the 12 months of planning, I would have never known as they just made everything work! They are experts at their craft and true artists. I am forever grateful for the beauty they brought to our special day and I cannot recommend them enough for any of your floral needs. Amy Kate's team did a FABULOUS job for our wedding! We got married in Elk Rapids, MI in August 2022. 225 guests at White Birch Lodge, a summer camp. We gave her some hints on the vibe we wanted, some preferences on styles, and then fully trusted her to work her magic – and boy did she deliver!! We had gorgeous flowers, she was a joy to work with, and we were happy and proud to support a local florist who even grows some of their own flowers locally. She did a fabulous job meeting our budget, which we really appreciated. My pro tips – provide more vases so you can keep more flowers the next morning, and if you do care more about the table design, just give her clear feedback. We loved our table setup, she provided vases & colorful LED candles. We did not give her any directions, just total creative freedom. It was all a surprise, which was super fun... but I know not every bride is down with that :)

I cannot recommend Amy enough! She was able to make our wedding floral and design ideas come to life and stay within our budget. Amy was so helpful to bounce ideas off of over the phone during the initial phases of planning. She worked with us through a postponement and then venue relocation 2 months before our wedding. She clearly understood our vision and was able to provide beautiful floral center pieces, tent rings, and bridal party flowers. She was so helpful in providing local Traverse City wedding vendors as well. She helped us find the best wedding planner!! We are so thankful we had Amy there to make our tent lush and beautiful. The tent pole hanging rings were such a show stopper and we are so happy we decided to go with them. Highly recommend working with Amy for any floral or design on weddings or other events!!

I hired Amy to create bouquets and boutonnieres for my wedding in September of this year. Amy was very responsive and kind throughout the planning process. She was still able to pull off amazing designs, despite my tight budget and the fact that I contacted her quite late into the wedding planning process. Each bouquet was slightly unique, which my bridesmaids appreciated. My parents picked up the flowers on the day of my wedding and they were so impressed by how warm and kind Amy was towards them. She is the best and I am so grateful to have had her play a part in my special day!

Due to the craziness that is 2020, we had to change our wedding plans from a 150+ guest international destination wedding to an intimate backyard wedding. I could not be happier that I connected with Amy Kate Designs.She was patient with me while I flip flopped on a flower crown and helped guide me into a better alternative. And most importantly, she made all of my dreams come true with the most beautiful bridal bouquet I have ever seen. I was so in love with it that I brought it with us on our week-long road trip around the U.P.As our ceremony was very small, we asked for a boutonniere for the groom, a bridal bouquet, some hair flowers, and white roses to line the aisle. Amy was amazing and helped me verbalize what I was looking for and provided everything I needed florally. She gave me the advice and guidance necessary to have the ceremony I wanted.I can not say enough positive things about Amy! I have already been a repeat customer and purchased smaller bouquets from her roadside stand and am looking forward to staying in contact in the future. My husband has said that he plans to purchase a bouquet from her every year on our anniversary and I can't think of a better gift.

It is hard to write a review when there aren’t enough words to describe how absolutely incredible Amy and her staff was. To say they were flawless in every way is an understatement. They nailed it from start to finish. After postponing my wedding in 2020, Amy continued to check in and was willing to change with me as I changed ideas and thoughts. She constantly shared my vision during that extra year of planning and continually helped me stay positive! Then, on the big day she captured it so incredibly - SO MANY people told us the night of the wedding that our flowers were the prettiest they had ever seen. And for me that speaks volumes. If one or two people say it, that’s great, but If everyone is saying it then it must be true – and it was. Amy was truly a joy to work with. She is professional and personable and a true artist. I never want to get married again, but I want to find a reason to work with Amy again, just to see what she would come up with. I strongly recommend anyone looking for a florist for any event use her & her staff. I can’t imagine anyone doing it better and they will not disappoint you.

I could not have been happier that I chose them to design my bridal bouquet and boutonnière ❤️🌸. Amy was very easy and kind to work with! The flowers I went with were faux botanicals, as my reception and elopement were different dates, and they looked real! I loved the color ribbon that she used on the bouquet, it was the perfect color. I could not recommend Amy Kate Designs more 😊The store front in Elk Rapids is absolutely adorable. It has all sorts of beautiful things in it and is a great place to buy gifts.

We met Amy last year on our one (and only) trip to Torch Lake to planning our wedding for the following summer. Amy came highly recommended by other vendors we have spoken with over the phone, and it was clear why. On our first meeting Amy came out to the home where we were getting married and offered us endless advice on local vendors, wedding timelines, staging, and decor. Amy created an amazing concept that helped us pick other decor for the wedding, but also helped us our guests pick coordinating attire for the wedding. We referred back to the concept often for inspiration as we continued planning. Fast forward to the weeks before the wedding. Amy answered every panicked email I had about color pallets and arranged several calls to ensure the decor, flowers, pricing, and timeline were all exactly what we were looking for. While other vendors often get too busy and are unresponsive during wedding season, Amy was always on top of it. On the day of the wedding, we had a few expected hiccups, but Amy and her team were there to assist. The flowers and decor were incredible. The attention to detail could be seen by all of our guests. I always had a vision for what my wedding day would look like, and she made sure everything came true. We really got both the gift of Amy's knowledge from working in the wedding industry as well as the amazing creation from her and the team.Thank you Amy Kate. I can't even imagine our wedding day without Amy. She is literally THE BEST! Not only is she incredibly talented in her field, but her personality makes her a pleasure to work with. Ahhhh Amy!! Where do I begin?! I have the privilege of living in the same small town as Amy, so not only have I admired her work over the years, I've also heard wonderful things about her as a person. But I had no idea.....When my daughter got engaged in April and set a wedding date for September, the first call I made was to see if she was available and thankfully, since the wedding was on a Sunday, she was! Her calm demeanor immediately put me at ease from the first time I sat down with her and then through all the meetings, emails, texts and panicky moments (that she assured me all mother of the brides go through).Her knowledge of all things wedding related and her amazing creativity , helped me to relax and realize she had it under control and it was going to be beautiful.The wedding day came and brought with it torrential rain. We had to move the ceremony from the golf course to under the reception tent. As we battled the water blowing under the tent, Amy and her team set to work transforming the place into something magical. From the tables, to the arch and the bouquets and everything in between, Amy added special details to make it the perfect day for my daughter and her new husband.Through the months of preparation, Amy was so welcoming and patient. She made me feel like a dear old friend and I am forever grateful.

I can’t even describe how amazing of a job Amy did for our wedding. I honestly had no idea what to expect since my husband was the one working with her and sending her inspiration photos and decor ideas. But she was so nice and accommodating every time we spoke with her and had great ideas to fit our style within our budget. My husband dreams big and she was able to achieve everything we could have dreamed of with. I wish everyone could see the photos of her work at our wedding because words do not do it justice. First off our chuppa was the most perfect combination of elegant with a fall moody twist and then going into the ceremony, it was a big space for 30 people that she made soo intimate, cozy, romantic, and elegant. Hopefully we will get to work with her again one day!!!
