This is an absolutely adorable, charming restaurant. I had the fish sandwich and key lime pie for dessert and they were both delicious. I'm especially enchanted with the key lime pie. It's so fresh, rich and refreshing. Key lime is my favorite, and this is the best I've ever had. The presentation was also amazing! Thank you for a great meal!

Wonderful food. The catch today of red snapper was delicious - moist and flavorful. With their wall of whiskeys the Manhattan I had featured Buffalo Trace Bourbon- sweet!The Bloody Mary is legendary! So many accoutrements to enjoy - from asparagus to Brussels sprouts to olive to pickle - it is a meal in itself.Gotta love the Borscht - flavorful and stew like.Always a great meal here.

The cheese curds were great! But the prices are too high for what you get. Fish and Chips were not that good. The fries are the plainest frozen fries you can get and were over cooked. The Fish was too thin and overcooked so it was too crisp. They should do thick chunks of White Fish in this part of the state. The Cole Slaw was not good at all. For this price you expect top quality. The service was exceptional! The place has character and a great view on the backside.

What a great find!!! The menu is huge and the food is amazing! We went here with friends twice while we stayed in Betsey Bay and had great experiences. The fish & chips and fish tacos are a must have! The fish is breaded with a flavorful batter and is so much better than anything we have had in awhile. Everyone in our party still talks about this food and how much fun we had during our visit.

The Blackened fish tacos with the drunken beans were amazing, my husband had the fish and chips with slaw. Both meals were excellent! This is definitely my stop when I come through on M22 again!!! Staff was very nice, atmosphere was awesome. Loved the history of it on the menu. The price of each dish was definitely worth it.

Such a fun, festive vibe & food was delish! Great service too. Got the voodoo shrimp (so good), shed salad & fish & chips w garlic mashed potatoes. The fish was super crispy & flavorful & the potatoes were smooth & creamy. The housemade tartar sauce was tasty. Lemonade is good too. Clean restrooms are a plus! Will definitely return next time we’re in town & snag a table outside by the lake.

This place is what well off people think a dive bar looks like. If you own a Harley Davidson, never made repairs yourself and enjoy wine tasting this place is for you, not knocking it but it is definitely not a cheap or authentic biker bar.They offer live music, open Mic nights, an acoustic night for when you're really feeling rowdy. The hours are limited and even more so as the season gets cold. The view off the back of Betsie lake is great.Our food took forever when the place was practically empty but was good, not great, good. The prices are way too much for the amount and quality.I don't know what they are thinking with their cole slaw but it was awful and you get about two table spoons with your entree.Don't expect greatness and you will be fine. They put more into appearance than quality, we left still hungry.

What would make this a five star, hmmm? Maybe if the music synced between outside and inside dining 😉 and a bit more "cabbage shed" decor (it was a bit boring inside other than the water view). We arrived at the Cabbage Shed on Sunday evening around 5ish.Parking is a bit hanky. Either right in front of the restaurant or across the road in a small lot shared by locals perhaps? We found a spot in the lot, crossed the road and found a line at the door.Since there was a wait for outdoor seating we opted for indoor, window seat. I thing it was the back porch area. It was quite large but again, no interesting decor. We did however get a somewhat nice view of the water during dinner. I think the outdoor seating would have been nice too.Service was quick and friendly, but how could it be anything other than that with Tammy as our server 😘We ordered voodoo shrimp with a 7&7 and hippie juice for drinks.Drinks were made wonderfully balanced, just the right amount of alcohol to make the drinks yummy.The voodoo shrimp was the perfect size to share between hubby and I. Just the right amount of not too hot sauce too. As a matter of fact it really wasn't spicy at all but that was perfectly fine with me.Tammy kept the meal timing perfectly with our appetizers being given plenty of time for us to eat, chat and relax.Hubby ordered the fish and chips... Delicious! The fish was cut thinly but breaded and fried perfectly and seasoned wonderfully. It came with coleslaw and rosemary/parmesan fries. I could have eaten a meal of the fries 😉. The portion size was just about right too, maybe another smaller piece of fish but now I'm just being picky 😬. Price point of this was about $11, so really not bad at all.I ordered the chef's special of duck with a cherry reduction, green beans and mashed potatoes. Taste buds went into overdrive! I started with the green beans and mashed potatoes and simply enjoyed the flavor knowing I still had the duck to sample! The duck fat was rendered to a scrumptious crisp and the meat was juicy and flavorful. The cherry reduction wasn't overly sweet yet added that yummy sweet/tart addition to the duck. Needless to say I ate it all with a little, and I mean little, help from the hubs! Portion size was maybe a bit too big but that allowed hubby to sample the deliciousness too. Price point on this was about $35 so a bit steep but even if I had known the price I probably would have ordered it and been very happy!Tammy allowed us to eat and talk and relax without being overly intrusive. Her attention was spot on.Overall it was a delicious dinner. The atmosphere could have used some sprucing up so don't be looking for anything special there. However the food was very good and I'd definitely recommend this place when you're in the area.

The food and atmosphere were great. Seems to be the only place in the area open past 9pm. Service was good until we're tried to pay our bill. The waitress vanished for over 20 minutes so we ended up paying our bill at the bar.

Service was TOP notch from the time we arrived! Gave us a special chair on the porch for the 92 yr old in out party while we waited for a table on the back porch. Amazing list of Irish whiskey and plenty of beers to choose from.Dinner was fast and food quality great and our server Tammy did a great job. She is very attuned to food algeries and helped with our selections.We will be back!Dietary restrictions: Very attuned to gluten free needs

This place was awesome! The staff was very friendly and our waitress helped us pick out way through the menu. The pasta was very good and you get a good amount. The fish tacos were great. Hope to stop back by sometime when we are back up that way.

Amazing food! I had the fish and chips and it was delicious! The staff was friendly and attentive, plus the view from the patio was so beautiful!Edit: I came back and had a salad, the food is delicious! It was 4th of July weekend so it was super busy but the staff was very attentive.

Yummy food, potent delicious cocktails, Thursday night open mike band is great, friendly attentive staff and a fun environment. Sort of a modern brewery environment. Busy busy but we’ll worth the wait. Reported to have the best fish and chips which I’d have to agree with. Hubby had the pork ribeye with cherry sauce which I also enjoyed a bite or two of :) Rhonda’s Paloma was a delicious thirst quencher!

A friend recommended this place and it did not disappoint! My friends and I ordered the spinach dip (yum!), fish and chips (delish! has a bit of spice in it), fish tacos (so good!) and the special of the day: rainbow trout stuffed with shrimp (delicioso!). They have lots of seating inside and out and live music. Staff was friendly and helpful! Def recommend checking it out!

The view overlooking the water and the boats in the marina were beautiful. The food was excellent as well!! My husband had the delicious Shed burger and I had equally scrumptious fish tacos. Yum!Everyone wore masks when they weren't eating, so I felt safe from COVID. We'll definitely be back!!

Hamburger was amazing! The fish and chips were on point! The atmosphere felt like it was a bar that served food! The food was much better than then I thought it was going to be. The view on the lake was wonderful, we did sit inside because of all the fish fly's outside. They had live music outside by the lake. I would recommend this to anyone that is looking for some good food and drinks!Enjoyed the food and drinks.

Prices have skyrocketed! Unreal! Usually I could have eaten here by myself for less than $30, but this meal I had, which was the "special" must have been $35 alone and my drink was $10 for a on tap beer!Special treat, but not really gourmet silver spoon restaurant.Disappointed in the customer service. I know it's off season, but way way overpriced.

Highly recommend this place. It was our 25th wedding anniversary. We didn't want anything overly fancy. We just wanted a great view with some good food and good drinks and this place produced both of that bloody Mary. My wife said was by far the best of the whole trip of everywhere we went. The Chardonnay was really good. The food was fantastic and highly recommend going to this place. It was a beautiful evening. We got to sit on the patio and overlooking view was fantastic. I had the Eleanor Rigby. We had the fish tacos and also had the hot steer bites. Always really good. See you soon

Award winning fish and chips highly recommended, good beer selection, free games (air hockey, ring toss, fuss-ball, etc.). Outdoor dinning on the water available. Very friendly. New, clean restrooms.
