We loved our stay at the Clarke Motel! They have a very affordable suite that's perfect for our family of 6 with two separate rooms to provide a place for the parents to hang out and watch TV after the kids go to bed. The grounds have a fire tower, play set, horseshoes, fire pit, old boat to play on, and plenty of space to explore and play in. The rooms and building are in great shape with cute finishes. The owners are laid back, friendly, and helpful. The welcoming committee, a chocolate lab and yellow lab, are so friendly and great with kids. They'll even go into your room! We had a great time at the Clarke Motel and will definitely stay there again.Rooms: The main room has a king bed, TV, fridge, microwave, table and chairs, and a cabinet. The bathroom is also off this room. The next room had three full beds, TV, and table and chairs. It was very nice to have the two separate rooms!Nearby activities: The tavern down the road was very nice, clean, and had good food.

If you are going to stay in the motel, then it is great, I'd recommend the motel! The owners are very friendly. We had 5 people, and needed another room. I booked the room and the cabin at the same time. I stayed in the cabin with one of my kids. During the night my daughter was awakened by a small critter falling from the cabin wall and bouncing of her face. In the morning we saw 4 mice racing along where the wall meets the roof. The table in the room had mouse droppings on it as well as our towels that we were going to use. The steal springs of the full size bed are very uncomfortable, and after a very long day was not what I was expecting. The rest of my family that stayed in the motel had a great rest and they were very comfortable. The snack shack is a great plus and if not for the cabin this would have been 5 solid stars.

This place is a little off the beaten path but well worth the stay. We were there only for a night but the layout of the property was great. Our room was very spacious and just a little dated but they had everything we needed. Pet friendly, bonfires, and somewhat of a little personal museum. Seems like a great place to stay for snowmobile, ATV, UTV, and hunter's. They also have a camping area with water and electric hook up. The owners were very friendly and made our stay very enjoyable. Thank you.

We didn't stay but I will be as soon as possible. Mike is the man!! We had a sled breakdown while riding in the Soo. Had to tow it back to the truck. Was recommended to call Mike at the Clarke Motel and he said come on down. He was so accommodating to a rider looking to get back out there. Let me use his shop to diagnose and fix our problem and sold me the parts to fix. Our weekend was saved because of Mike. Thanks man, we'll be back every year. Hopefully next time we won't have to use the shop!I'll call it the Clarke compound. Much more than just rooms. Onsite common bar, Rec fuel, toy parts in stock, full hookup campground for the summer, and wonderful owners. Can't thank you all enough.

This is a cute little motel that we decided to spend a night at. The lady who runs it is very sweet. If you get hungry and need a quick snack, they have a little snack shack you can purchase from. I’ve heard and saw other little activities they have for guests to do, however, I did not have enough to time to try them. Rooms were clean, and check in/out was very easy. Would definitely recommend if you need somewhere to stay in the area!

Coolest place to stay in the up hands down. great riding for sleds bikes and sxs. the resort is awesome tons to see and do. mike, aunt sue and the rest of the family treat guests like family. your not renting a room here your getting an experience, i cant thank everyone enough! Looking forward to meeting jana the next trip up and hoping for a speedy recovery!

I have honestly never been to a place that is more friendly and happy so much to offer for people staying there. The motel also has a campground attached to it and it's a great set up. Horseshoe pits, corn hole boards, community fire pit as well as fire pits at every campsite, and two on site bars for adults (not serving but can hang out with other people.) tons of cool Knicknack things to look at including an authentic fall out shelter you can explore safely. The owners are also top notch. Mike stayed up waiting for us as we had traffic and fuel issues on our way up from out of state. We didn't even get in until 3 am and he was happy to help us get set up and in for the night. They are also set up wonderfully for people who want to stay and ride side by sides or snowmobiles. They have a trail connector that leads to the main trial right from the driveway. Come check it out you won't be disappointed!

This place is very cool, unique, and different from anywhere else we've stayed. The staff is super friendly and accommodating. Great place for bringing a side-by-side or snowmobiles. Pack breakfast food because breakfast is really hard to come by in this area.

We stayed for 3 nights and it was a experience I will never forgot.. We not only loved it but we made friends.. I can never thank Mike the owner enough for helping us when our bike broke down.. He took the time to pick us up.. We enjoyed talking with him and spending time with Sue. It felt just like home.. We made friends we will never forget.. We will be back.. Thank you again for our stay being wonderful and cant wait till we can come up again…

Best bang for the buck... New owners are wonderful. This place isn't just a regular family owned motel. There is plenty of space and entertainment for you and your friends to enjoy. The best part for me is meeting others that are staying as well. We have been going for several years and have booked for next year as well, can't wait to go back!

Three words. Bowling. Ball. Drop.Great little spot. Cool stuff on the grounds to explore. The staff is very helpful and the little snack room comes in handy! Highly recommended if you are going to be in the Strongs area.

Very clean and comfortable beds.Place has lots of things for my family to do.Horseshoes,cornhole,pool table, and the y2K bunker. Nice big fire pit in the back. We will definitely be back.

This place is amazing. The rooms are spartan, but clean, well kept and a heck of a deal! Word of advice - bring CASH. Cards were a no-go last time we were up (though things may have changed).Andy and Patti are fantastic hosts, friendly and entertaining. Andy has basically built his own "playground" in the back, spanning several pole barns filled with kitschy, quirky items and all sorts of mad scientist type inventions.For the adventurous and young at heart this place is a must visit. For stuffed shirts and sticks in the mud though, you best steer clear and head to the Holiday Inn.

Dirty bathroom, hair in the shower! And overpriced! Owner was nonchalant about the hair in the bathtub. Said the last person in the room bathed their Bear tracking dogs in the tub! Not impressed and it wasn't dog hair that I saw!
