Good place for Target and there is a lot of stuff for a small supermarket. It has a restroom but I think you need a passcode for opening the door. By the way there is a parking lot for target just go back of the Target (Albert Ave) And it is 30 minute free.

Quite possibly the TINIEST Target in the world! LOL (I think a standard Walgreens Pharmacy is larger than this store.) Their "electronics" department was two or three endcaps wide, and that's about it. But, considering it's in the heart of MSU, perhaps it caters to college/dorm life and necessities.....so with that perspective, yes, good selection of basic items you'll need. There is a parking garage behind the store, and when I went, the first 30 minutes were free.

Thank you, East Lansing Target employees, for taking such good care of my son during the shooting lockdown. The actions and kindness of the staff in this trying time in no small part reduced the degree of trauma that could have occurred. These staff deserve to be recognized. Thank you.

Really nice place to get the basics—almost too nice as I’ve found myself walking the aisles once a day to buy food for said day. Plus they’ve got magnum chocolate bars so had to give em a 5/5.

Hid here during the shooting, staff were wonderful, smart, and quick. They kept about 50 of us safe and comfortable during an active shooting. Hopefully the staff get the recognition and pay they deserve for their quick thinking ant thoughtfulness

I want to take a moment to let you know that yesterday at 8:18 pm my daughter (MSU Freshman) and her friends were able to take refuge in your store. The shooting was very close (across the street). Immediately the store went on lockdown. The employees and security were extremely nice, supportive and knew how to handle a lockdown. She was given water, a charger and anything else she needed. They were in the back room for over 4 hours, and I was able to stay in text contact with her the whole time. Thank you for taking care of her and for taking care of everyone at the MSU store.Rachelle Stephens

I ordered an item for my son from this location only because it was already sold out in Okemos. After getting to the order desk there were three panhandlers harassing the customers checking out asking for money or to buy them salsa, wine and chips. One reeked of booze and had a cigar hanging out of his mouth. He approached me and wouldn't back off. THREE Target employees just stood there. They didn't ask them to step back, to move or to leave. They didn't stop them from approaching me or the three other customers they approached. When any of us said no, they didn't back down. They came back with something else. I was scared to take out my wallet or to walk out of the store by myself as I was leaving with a $250 gaming system. No security were attending the security desk at the front and frankly the Target employees seemed to want to pretend they were there rather than deal with the situation. I will NEVER step foot in this Target again. Above all the employees should be ensuring customers aren't approached by panhandlers ESPECIALLY while they are reaching for their wallets. Unacceptable.

Tiny little Target & not necessarily family friendly like most Targets are. We enjoyed a meal close by and needed to make a return on an item purchased at a different location. We had our children ages 7 yrs, 3 yrs, and 9 days old with us. We purposely waited to feed the baby to avoid nursing in a restaurant when Target was a half block away and should have a family friendly nursing room. There was no nursing room so we found a family bathroom, which was very dirty and the toilet was flooded. That made for a lot of fun with a 3 year old when we desperately needed a space to feed a very hungry babe. At first we couldn’t find a dressing room either, so I latched my baby on and started walking around Target with my other kiddos in tow. I’m sure the young college aged men thought I was nuts! We found the one and only dressing room in the center of the store, occupied it for way too long; nursing and changing his diaper. That caused other customers to not be able to use the dressing room either. I felt slightly guilty only for the other customers sake... I do understand that this is located in the center of college town, but when you can normally count on Target to have your back as a mom, I was painfully disappointed today. On a positive note: there was an older woman who assisted my husband with his return and gave the kids some cute stickers on our way out. Wish we could remember her name because she was a gem!

Nice little selection of MSU gear. Great if you don't want to pay top dollar at the spirit store or rally house. Nice little college version of target, right next to campus.

I have been searching for an item that happened to become in stock at this store so I bought it online to pick up. I'm 30 miles away so this is not my 'local' Target. Yes I was pleased they had what I wanted but the entire staff I encountered at this location was amazing. The store was VERY empty of customers but every employee was super hard at work and ultra friendly. I have to give a big shout out to David (that helped me in the Tech area on March 30 in the evening)! He was awesome! the rest of the staff was as well including the pickup/register area and even , yes, the folks tirelessly cleaning touch areas to reduce spread of virus and it made me feel pretty safe. Thank you!

A very poor selection of food. I get that they are catering to college students, but omissions like no bulk tomatoes, no tall boys, no drinkable yogurt, etc. make this place a pass to me. The self-checkout area is extremely tight with the intrusive barriers they put in place, and said barriers prevent you from setting your basket down while checking out, which is just silly. I will give them an extra star simply for existing in this location

I have to say, this Target is tiny but it has a very well and smartly curated collection of merchandise and food. It comes in handy in a pinch, but don't expect to find a lot of high-end linens/bedding, movies or some other things that you would find at a normal-sized Target. Definitely a welcome addition to the downtown E.L. scene.

Cami harp was such a big help she helped my grandma find everything she needs.I had to come back to say the employee Dev went over the top. Not just showing me where the items I need but paying for everything it was unbelievable I broke down in tears and then she carried everything back to my apartment. God bless her soul

We ordered 3 items online, Microwave, Microwave plastic dish lid and a refrigerator on 08.23.21 The lid and the microwave was delivered on time, but the microwave had a dent on its side.. being mild dent we ignoredHowever the refrigerator to be delivered on 08.30.21 arrived only on 09.03.31 and that too with a big dent on the top and the door hinges are loose as well and hence the door does not close accurately and the gasket does not stick to its door.This is for a student and now I am compelled to use this damaged product as if I ask for replacement may be it will arrive after ages.. Totally bad.Please refrain from ordering anything online from Target. Better choice would have been to visit Walmart and get from there.

They unload the trucks every night around 5 am. It wakes me up every night as one of the neighbors of the store. Sounds like explosions. Do better target.

I went this morning. I love it! Small, but perfect. A little bit of everything in it. I would go all the way to okemos to go to target, now i can walk to target. I'm so excited, especially since target is my favorite store!

Labeled prices are not actual prices charged. Sure, I could argue with an employee over the $0.70 more that the register charged me over the sticker price for candy and oranges I didn't need anyway but it's easier to gripe online and just avoid this location.

Thought it wasn't open until Sunday, but was pleasantly surprised that it was already open today (7/17)! It's small, but it has all the basics. Clothing, makeup, groceries, and more! Very convenient, very dangerous to my wallet.

This new target in downtown EL is tiny but carries everything! Food, some produce, cute clothes, games, home goods, makeup... perfect for college students. Love it!
