Dr. Seager is a wonderful vet. She took excellent care of our rabbit and helped him live to the age of thirteen! She did everything from save him in years past from GI stasis to being with us when it was time to compassionately say goodbye. We will definitely be back when we add another furry companion to our household.

The staff and doctor took good care of my dwarf rabbit that I brought in for neutering. They took the extra time to examine him and explain thoroughly ahead of time and got him in first thing the next morning. You can ask for a basic price quote and worst-case scenario quote. My bunny Binky can out of it fine, the staff called and emailed twice afterwards to check up on it, and he's healed well. I do recommend them! Ty!

Dr. Seager appears to be very diligent in her work here. I brought my kitten in late march-early april to have her spayed, I was quoted $280 which was more expensive than the other vets I had spoken to in the area. During the spay, they notice that my kitten only has one kidney, which leads them to believe that there is no second ovary. They continue searching for it but find nothing. They decided to test her kidney function as well. The whole cost ended up being $560. Granted I wasn’t happy, but I was happy that my kitten was okay. 3 months go by and my kitten goes into heat 3 times in 5 weeks, since then she’s gone in every 4. The poor girl sounds like she’s in agonizing pain. They advised me to go get an ultrasound done on her which is $650. The ultrasound found the ovary super quickly. Eastside animal hospital calls me the following day that they have quoted $1200 for the removal of her second ovary. But, they expect it to be $900 and are giving me a 10% discount. I am completely shocked that removing my cats ovaries is going to cost me $2,000+.Any other animal clinic i’ve spoken to and filled in on the situation has quoted me for around $500 to have an initial visit, full blood work (including kidneys) and abdominal exploratory surgery to find the second ovary that was found by the ultrasound. I’m stunned by this information, and will likely never return given that a vet who had no part in missing the second ovary during the initial spay, is willing to to charge me half of what Eastside is going to charge me for the surgery.Edit: I’ve spent $2,000 since January 2nd for the required vaccines, spay job, renal profiles and check ups post spay. Other vets have quoted me for less than $400 for everything listed here in the area.

The staff was very helpful and did everything they could take care if me and my pet. Sadly my pet did pass away during the exam purely because she was old and had a tumor that wasn't spotted until that day. They talked me through what happened and were patient with me and helped me find the best way to memorialize my pet in a kind way that didnt just seem like it was their job.I appreciate the care I got and the staff are great and are very professional and patient.-------My guinea pig was an eight year old who was a rescue. She was neglected from previous owners and constantly stressed and isolated for 3 years in a too small cage before we got her- the fact she lived as long as she did was amazing. She was a very happy pig who had a constant friend and got to free roam all day long! I love her very much ❤

Staff polite but they go way overboard with treatment...8 week old puppy with simple UTI and they requested to do full panel blood work...All he needed was a simple urine test...

I wish I could give Dr. Seager and her team more than 5 stars. I adopted a senior dog that always had some trouble with eating. I've taken her to many vet clinics and the problem was never solved.I brought her into Eastside Animal Hospital because I read that Dr. Seager is passionate about dental health. My dog (Cookie) ended up having a gum/tooth disease and needed two surgeries to rectify the situation. They ran tests to make sure she would be fine to go under and went to such lengths to educate me on my dogs health.Dr. Seager and her team were amazing the whole way. She even gave me her cell phone and was always checking up on Cookie. I wish I would have taken Cookie into Eastside when I first got her, it would have saved Cookie years of pain. Now Cookie can live the rest of her years without pain. They really cared about Cookie and were always available to answer questions and if she wasn't comfortable I could bring her in right away. I highly value Dr. Seager's knowledge and opinion.Thank you so much to Dr. Seager and her team! I can't thank you enough!

The best vet in the area. The building may be old, but well maintained. Dr. Seager and her compassionate team have saved my cat's life so many times when I thought it was done. I trust the doctor with all my heart.

Other vet we've went to didn't have an opening so we came to this one, had to put my daughters pet down, nothing more, not shots, didn't need an exam, nothing... just euthanasia.Ridiculously charged for a brief exam, when there wasn't one and over $100 to put down a rat..So total was $163... FOR A RAT.. they also don't give you a clay paw print like East Lansing Vet Clinic and then instead of a box, they wrapped the rat up in a dog pee pad, handed her back and sent me on my way.Don't recommend. Plus it's a very small vet. 1 maybe 2 exam rooms. No real waiting room (2-3 chairs). Park in the back of the building and no walk path or direction on which side of building to walk to so I walked around the whole building to the door, only to be told to go to another BACK door.

Dr. Seager and the staff are all very excellent at what they do. You can tell Dr. Seager cares very deeply for animals. She intends to give them the same level of care that a human should expect to receive from their doctor. Because of that, some people mistake her thoroughness in doing lots of tests, etc. for greed - but I contend that her thoroughness is instead a result of her genuine desire to figure out how to best help animals. We have 5 cats, which isn’t cheap. Given we don’t make a lot of money between us, about 10% of our annual income goes into cat care alone. So it’s always a difficult pill to swallow to hear about the next big bill for one of our kitties. I get it - it’s so stressful, especially when you don’t make a lot of income. But don’t mistake the bills as unnecessary or frivolous.Dr. Seaver’s thoroughness saved the lives of at least 2 of our cats who were given cheaper treatment elsewhere. For our other cats, the treatment plans Dr. Seager recommends always surpassed what the previous vets we went to recommended. Our cats are as healthy now as they’ve ever been.Lastly, I never feel bamboozled out of anything. Dr. Seager and Joshua always explain in layman’s terms what they’re thinking, what the costs are, etc. Bills are tough, but if I’m gonna pay bills I better not be getting surprise charges. Never have to worry about that here!

We’ve been bringing our puppy George here from the start and it is safe to say he is a “frequent flier” due to some medical issues. Dr. Seager and the whole staff are so helpful, caring and accommodating even when they are busy. I feel like they care about our dog (almost!) as much as we do. They even sent us a note after his surgery (elsewhere, it was major) to see how he was doing after checking in with the surgeon.Thank you for your great care of our problem prone pup!

Eastside Animal Hospital has done an amazing job caring for my two dogs. When my young puppy stopped eating for 2 days, I was in full panic mode. The staff and Doctor did an amazing job keeping me calm and answering every question that I had. They are extremely professional and clearly care deeply for the animals well-being.In addition, they are reasonably priced. Despite what other recommendation have suggested, I have never felt like their only goal was to make more money off their clients. They are thorough with their exams and aim to give your pet the highest quality care. I highly recommend this clinic and staff.

Recently had gotten a young cat and had brought her to this vet numerous times with no issue. A potential health concern came up, so I called to schedule an appointment like usual. I left a voicemail with my name, my pets name, and my number (all of which were already in their records). To this day, over a month later, I have not received a call back. Office staff are all incredible, but I felt as though I was being talked down to every time Dr. Seager and I had an interaction. Will not return or recommend.

We cannot imagine better care. Dr. Seager has been our family vet for over 25 years, guiding us through the lifespan of three different dogs. She is exceptionally smart and compassionate, almost a member of our family, but thoroughly professional and ethical. We have also always admired her staff through the years. Everyone at Eastside works hard, but lovingly. It's more than a job for them. All animals in their care are in good hands.

I adopted my first dog last year and have exclusively taken her to the Eastside Animal Hospital to be checked up. They have been nothing but incredible for my furry best friend!! I work in the healthcare field (for humans) and Dr. Seager does a great job communicating with me. I often have a lot of questions and she always takes the time to answer them. My dog recently had to have soft tissue surgery to remove a suspicious lump and I was very impressed with the care she received at Eastside. The entire staff is wonderful and always do a great job. I would happily recommend them to anyone in the area with a pet who needs care!

I love Eastside Animal Hospital. No unexpected charges. They were very upfront about how much the costs would be for the surgery my cat needed after the place I adopted him from caused issues with his teeth and a wound. They were one of the few places accepting new patients with Covid going on, so I stumbled on this wonderful clinic. I don't feel I was overcharged. Dr. Seager even gave me her personal number to call if my cat had issues after surgery. When I called with a concern, she happily addressed it. Dr. Seager took the time over the phone to recommend foods for my cat's sensitive stomach. She was sensitive to the price point of the food and recommended ones that would be most affordable but still good quality. She even recommended ways to get his flea, tick, and heartworm medication at a cheaper price than buying it from the clinic that day. I've ordered from their online pharmacy which was a great experience. Definitely a place that cares and isn't interested in just making money.

I've had a wonderful experience bringing my cat to Dr. Seager. Her and her entire staff are very friendly, caring, and responsive. When I inherited my cat, Elsa, I soon found that she had multiple health issues that needed to be addressed. I brought her to a different veterinary office in the area before I knew about Eastside animal hospital and had a bad experience- the vet there gave me a powder medicine and told me I would need to see a specialist about anything else. However, when I brought Elsa to see Dr. Seager it was a completely different story; she actually took the time to figure out the underlying causes of Elsa's health issues and what needed to be addressed and assisted me in finding every solution possible for her. I felt so much better after bringing Elsa to Dr. Seager because I knew she was getting the best care. Dr. Seager and the entire staff are always super helpful with any questions I've had and seemed genuinely concerned for Elsa's well-being. She even always helped me to find the most affordable solutions. Elsa has now passed, and I received a very thoughtful sympathy card in her honor from the office. I don't know what I would have done without Dr. Seager and the entire staff of Eastside animal hospital, I'm so happy I had this veterinary clinic to bring her to!

Dr. Mary Seagar has been such a God sent to my family, dogs & cat! She has stood by us when we adopted a puppy mill Sheepdog that was full of worms & aggressive. She took the time to educate us on EVERYTHING she was doing. She never judged. She let us call the shots when it came to if we should euthanize or not. She sincerely was empathetic to all we were going through. I know if our animal goes to this clinic, they are giving quality care & love!!!! Did I mention Dr.Seagers staff? They are so very kind and our animals are so excited to see them! I promise you are in good hands here!

I’ve gone here twice for my rats when they’ve gotten respiratory infections. The staff was very friendly and the doctor was very knowledgeable and answered all my questions and explained what medication they would be on and why. When I had my old rats and took them to a different vet I was charged much more and did not get this type of service. I feel very comfortable with this office and the doctor has suggested some very valuable things to me to help my rats keep healthy such as switching their paper bedding to fleece. They can usually get my animals seen relatively quickly as well so I’m very happy with their service and will keep going here in the future.

When I first adopted my dog, Bear, and established him as a patient, Dr Seager came out and spoke with me in great detail about canine health and wellbeing. In doing this, several personalized recommendations were made for him. Dr. Seager emphasizes a holistic approach to animal well-being by caring for every part of them. She made sure I was aware of other resources, like trainers, located in the area. This practice values a preventative approach to medicine, which I appreciate. For example, she emphasizes steps to maintain proper dental health in order to prevent issues down the road. She also recommended Purina Calming Care (a probiotic supplement) as a simple, over-the-counter solution for my dog's anxiousness. This has helped him a lot. As far as prescriptions go, they have their own online store as well as an in house pharmacy. Prices are competitive with other retailers, like Chewy. They also will fill prescriptions for outside pharmacies if requested.Dr. Seager and her staff are very knowledgeable and helpful. Anytime I’ve had a question, each staff member I’ve spoke to has been able to provide helpful information. Staff have always discussed everything that is going to be be done prior to each appointment. As a result of her and her staff’s knowledge, I feel that I have been able to better care for my dog. This practice definitely takes an individual approach to each pet and their needs. I highly recommend this practice if you’re looking for a Vet in the East Lansing/Okemos area.

The word phenomenal doesn’t even begin to describe the care and knowledge behind this office!! I stumbled upon this office by luck back when I was 19. Dr. Seager and her staff have been a part of our families lives for 10 years. Over the years she has been there for 5+ animals I have owned. I recently relocated and I will go out of my way to commute to this office for amazing vet care.I have and will always refer my friends, family and even those I come across looking for guidance.Their pricing is fair and they do not push for for procedures that are not necessary. The staff here is friendly, available and flexible. The assistant manager Josh is caring, smart and passionate about his work. With any business you’ll have a negative review pop up every once in awhile but take it from someone who knows first hand, this is one place you will not regret!

I took my dog to Eastside Animal Hospital for a surgery that other vets were uncomfortable doing. Not only was the surgery successful, the aftercare was top notch. Dr. Seager and her staff cared about my dog and his recovery and were up front about the costs involved. Thank you so much to your team for helping my dog feel better!

The staff here is wonderful. They seem to really know there stuff and I never felt pressure to do more than i can afford. They gave explanation of why they wanted to do tests and gave me alternatives as well. I like the upfront honest that they approach their clients with and my pets have never had a bad visit there. In fact the vet diagnosed my pup with hip dysplasia and referred me to one of the best surgeons in the state. Thank you Dr. Seager and your staff for all the help over the years.

Everyone I've interacted with at Eastside Animal Hospital has been wonderful. I moved to the Lansing area in 2017 and Eastside took over the care for three of my cats. Dr. Seager is thorough in her exams, and uncovered health issues that would have most likely gone undiscovered by our previous vet.

Excellent customer service. The knowledge, sincerity and considerate care they give to each client's beloved pets are just a few of their outstanding company services/qualities. They took excellent care of my cat with cancer walking me through each step. I am grateful for their excellence and and approach. I highly recommend Eastside Animal Hospital!

I was caring for an 8 week old frenchie, "Winnie" that needed to be seen by a vet and I was able to get an appointment that afternoon (a Saturday). Dr Seager came out to the car and explained the findings from the exam and readily agreed to write a letter of explanation to the owner of the puppy. A second letter needed to be written, without hesitation, it was taken care of. I could tell Dr. Seager and staff cared deeply about the well being of the puppy. I will definitely recommend this vet clinic to friends and family.Thank you so much for helping with the care of Winnie!!!
