We are from Grand Rapids, my brother lived in that area and recently passed. I had no idea where to hold the after service lunch. I called the Chamber of Commerce there. They were very helpful. I wish I could remember the women's name to let her know how very thankful I am for her assistants.

I love my little town. Only issue I have we need a Sonic or Arby’s something besides pizza joints and McDonalds or high end dinners. Also something like a target and a movie theatre we get that and our young people will stop moving away. Soon it’s going to die off cuz after graduating College they move to a bigger city and or another state. A ton of Dowagiac youth live in Grand Rapids and Detroit, Three Rivers, EasT Lansing, and Chicago. Locally it’s Stevensville, Holland, Niles and St Joe to name a few. They want to live where there is something to do besides go to the bar. I don’t blame them. 2 out of my 3 kids moved away. Eventually Dowagiac is going to just die off. I sure don’t want that!!
