Two stars for this business, and I only give it that for the help I received from one of the young associates and selection. The manager on shift Sun May 5th at noon was unfamiliar with the string trimmer he was selling me. Didn’t even know what position was run and off. The manager filled it w gas pulled on it a few times banging the head into the concrete each time. Clearly frustrated he said he had to go get paperwork for it and I could pull on it myself. He couldn’t pull on it anymore. To tired I guess? I had been pulling on the one I came to replace for an hour…the last thing I wanted to do was pull some more on a new one. The younger associate and I read the instructions on how to run it and w me pulling and pulling on it myself I got it running. Never seen manager again. I was told they would let him know that I had got it running. I appreciate the help from the young associate. I’m glad he had the patients and took the time to help me. Time for the short tempered, out of shape manager to find a new job in my opinion.

I like to shop local but this store makes it difficult. The website advertises a price, I go into the store to purchase and they won’t honor the online price, then proceed to tell me they can’t take any online orders at the moment. It’s like they want me to go to a box store.Reply to owner: Your issues with corporate aren’t my problem, an easy solution would’ve been just to honor the price online in store, which your employees refused. I went to Family Farm and Home in Wayland and without hesitation they MATCHED your online price.

Went in for some nuts and washers for a table leg. Greeted when I arrived and London knew exactly what size and amount was needed. Better than "Big Box" store. Worth the trip!

Shout out to the excellent customer service this past Sunday. At the very last minute I needed a marine battery. We called ahead because the store closed at 5pm for the holiday which gave us 20 minutes. We made it with less than 5 minutes to spare. Not only did they help us find the right battery they did it with a smile! Your efforts were truly appreciated 😊

I unfortunately lost a copy of a receipt from Ace that I needed. I called the store and the manager was super helpful and was able to find the receipt in the system and send it to me within minutes! And even though the receipt was from almost a month prior, he actually remembered details of the transaction from that day. He also gave me some super helpful advice about the propane tanks I had purchased. Ace is definitely the "friendly place" and I highly prefer shopping here over the big box stores. THANK YOU!

Great experience ever time I go in the store. We are always greeted with a smile and a friendly hello by all employees. The staff has always been so helpful. If I can’t find something I am pointed in the right direction and taken to where it is, as well as informed if the product is on sale. I was buying furnace filters awhile ago and when I was being checked out they let me know that it was buy two get one free so an employee went and grabbed me another one. Love having a hometown hardware store that is welcoming and happy to help out!

Great small town hardware store! Friendly, really helpful, knowledgeable folks always ready to answer questions. When power was out all across town they ran on back-up generator power so folks could get batteries, flashlights, lanterns and a myriad of other things! We love our My Town Ace Hardware!

Great, honest, and helpful! I drop a ten dollar bill and they brought it out to me in my truck! I had no problem finding anything either because they knew where everything that I needed was!

The employees are very friendly and helpful.They have good sales on bird food and if they don't have something in stock they will order it for you and it will be in on their next truck usually. And I love the small town...home town atmosphere!!!

Awesome people here. If you don't like going to a big chain hardware store then you should go here. I've been to a few locations and they are all great. For a smaller store they have a great selection without feeling overcluttered. The prices are usually great too, especially when they have sales going on.

They have the largest selection of loose hardware (nuts and bolts) in West Michigan. Staff is always friendly and helpful. They carry more than you would think for a store of this size. They even had a plumbing fitting in stock that a big box store would have had to order.

My wife and I have done a lot of home renovations over the past few months and the entire staff have always been more than helpful, patient with my many questions and always go the extra mile to help. Added bonus is the Christian music playing in the store...very refreshing in today’s world.

This store and Corbin, in particular, went above and beyond. I am very impressed by the professionalism and top notch customer service. A package that I ordered online for in store pick up mistakenly went to their store in Dorr rather than the Ace Hardware in Hudsonville. When I spoke with Corbin on the phone he was very understanding and helpful and actually delivered the package...get this...to my house! That was amazing. I only wish I lived closer because this would be my go to store every time. Truly exceptional!!!!!

Hard to get help.....Had to walk to the back of store to get help in paint one day...Another day the clerk was trying to mix paint and work the cash register, running back and forth while I waited....I usually know what I want.... I just need help finding it in the store...Great store, good selection, just need better customer service...

Don't go here to buy wood pellets. Highway robbery right there. Over 9 dollars for 1 bag when i can get 2 bags for same price at tractor supply. This store is a joke. Do not shop here. Robbery at its finest. If i could of rated zero stars i would of. Waste of space in dorr.

I love the place, I needed a new cord and the ace rewards gave me $5.00 off which was nice, people are friendly, and as a rewards customer my wife bought a swing on sale, they offered FREE delivery, only I assembled myself, I owned my own tools, so some of the larger places charge for delivery as well set it up. Thanks My Town for super service.

UPDATEMy Town Ace hardware is Not open at 8:00 AM on Sunday. Hours are 10:00AM to 5:00 PM Still the best hardware by far. Items are always in stock and prices are spot on with big box DIY stores, sometimes even better pricing.

You could buy any piece of hardware online and have it delivered to your door... but where do you go when you also want friendly, honest, knowledgeable help from A to Z? You come here, where the employees, managers, and owner alike clearly care for everybody who comes in—and they make sure you know it. Even my kids like coming with me, because they always have a kind word and smarties candy for them.Last trip I realized I wouldn't be able to fit all of my purchase inside my car with my children's carseats, and guess who helped me make it work by literally going the extra mile? From the time you walk in until you walk out everyone there is friendly, polite, courteous and eager to help you find what you are looking for or point you in the right direction. It has a really nice warm friendly atmosphere and It's more than just a hardware store !!!

This store is a pain. I hate to be negative about a hardware store. They never have what I want or need. I'll even call ahead to make sure so I'm not waisting my time and they say they have it only to get there and find out it not the right one or they are out because the employee made a mistake. I'll drive another 15 min and go to home depot or menards.

Worst customer service ever by the women at the check out. And very out of date credit card technology. The attitude and ability to reconcile the issue was beyond rude. Will not be back will drive extra 20 miles to get what I need from another retailer.
