We've been shopping here since we moved to Dexter 10 years ago. My husband likes to get tools and hardware here and support a local business. I stopped in today for a terracotta pot and was impressed with the potting supplies. They have more stock than the big box stores in terms of different types of potting mixes and amendments. Their pots are mostly terracotta or plastic, and that should suit almost everyone. Their customer service is really what keeps us coming back. Every time we go in there we are warmly greeted and shown the items we are looking for.

One of the better small hardware stores I've encountered. We'll stocked, knowledgeable and friendly staff. They also carry kitchen and household supplies. The area would not be the same without it.

Best hardware store in the area, and the service is always amazing. They'll get you sorted out no matter what problem you're trying to solve. I am obliged to point out that they seriously need to bring back the soda wall. We used to pop in and shop JUST so we'd have an excuse to grab some crazy new soda we never tried before.

I love this hardware store. It is packed with nearly everything one would need from a hardware store. The service it top-notch, and when I have my dogs, they are welcomed and even get treats sometimes! We recently moved to the area, and I'm already a regular shopper here. They also carry Benjamin Moore paint--which I like.

Best hardware store in town if you want to avoid the brick and mortars that are farther away. Great selection of the things I need for most projects. Clean, well organized with a basement and a wider store than expected this place looks small but has so much more than I would have thought. Great prices as well.

Staff is so helpful and gracious. Great selection for a modest-sized store. I recently started a painting project and was a able to get all that I needed at a reasonable price AND without the hassle of going to a big store! Dexter just wouldn't be the same without our local hardware!

6 stars if I could! Amazing store with the nicest people. I popped a tire on a bike ride from Ann Arbor and they fixed it for me within minutes- saved my day! And what's more, despite my insistence, they were so humble to not accept any extra money for the time. Great find- definitely recommended!

The staff there was very helpful and went above and beyond to help service our needs. During Easter weekend, we were camping and it was a bit chilly over the weekend so we wanted to purchase an electric heater. They had already stored away there seasonal items but, they took us up to the 4th floor to look at their stock. (Which is neat cause we got to ride the old school elevator thing). The heater was all buried away but they made the effort to get the item that we wanted.

One of my favorite places to buy hardware. The staff is always friendly and attentive. They know their hardware and make themselves available to answer any questions. Located in the heart of Dexter, the store has a pleasantly large selection. I would always recommend this Ace Hardware over larger hardware stores.

There is soooo much packed into this store. If you finish browsing the main area then head to the lower level and browse some more. Custom paint match is available here. The usual hardware items are here but so is Amish type utensils.The summer chairs I bought were ordered online and shipped to the store for me to pick up. Friendly folks here. The parking can be challenging here as all of Main Street parking is.

I drove 30 miles to purchase a new Weber grill that wasn't in stock by any of the stores near me.I called a head of time to make sure they had it in stock and the Lady said they had one and she would hold it for me. Very nice. When I got there the sales lady was so nice to work with outstanding service. It was worth the drive for sure.

The best thing about small local businesses is the service you get .There is always someone looking for you, unlike big box hardware, that you have to look for help. I got the proper help I needed, got the advice on how to do it, and everything else that would be needed to finish the project. Thanks to Eric ,Troy, and evry one else who works here .

I love this place other than not updating there hours on Google maps when they close early, always reliable place to get what you need to finish a project. Better than average staff and a great atmosphere. Glad to pay a little extra to shop here.

Looks like my new go to hardware store in the Pinckney/Dexter area. I needed some 1/2"black pipe cut and they were the only hardware in the area that was willing to help me out. Lucas did a great job fixing me up with the pipe pieces I needed. Pinckney and Lakeland Hardware don't have to worry about me darkening their doorstep again. Thanks Lucas you rock I'm back to fixing my stuff.

These guys are the best! Went in with random parts for an ancient kitchen sink faucet and they helped us find everything we needed to fix it up without having to replace it. Lowe's was no help with this. I will be going to Hackney from now on!
