Had a great experience inside the store today. A beautiful lady paid for my items. However The Perch fish (I discovered) wasn't Perch at all. The batter fell off the fish and it was mushy, not flaky like normal fish. I've also had a similar experience with the cooked food. It's all farm raised fish. Don't purchase the fish raw or cooked. Horrible, Horrible, Horrible.

They are ridiculously overcharging patrons, taking advantage of the neighborhood and mothers. They charge 27.99 for a 12.5 ounce can of similar. Meijer & Kroger only charge $18.99 and Target charges $17.99. This is robbery!

Before the Meijer was built on Grand River, and I had a stroke, I used to frequent Royal Fresh when it was under different management.Recently, I found that I could actually navigate the store with my disability, and have been back a few times inn the last couple weeks! What I had forgotten until a couple weeks ago was the delicatessen I used to frequent all the time! I’m glad on days I don’t want to cook,I can grab something from the deli . I find the store to be very conveniently located in my neighborhood and I appreciate it.

I have generally had great interactions with staff there. Yet within the last few months I've observed a change in some staffing. With that change has come a less friendly environment. I'm still in the parking lot as I write this. The cashier was very rude. It was if I were not there. Yet she had an extended "toothy" conversation with her female friend, delaying my transaction. She absolutely said nothing to from beginning to end. Even when I thanked her when she handed me my receipt. No response at all.In fact the unfortunate trend is the bigger the eyelashes; the brighter the hair color. The worse the disposition.This WAS one of the few places to get quality customer service in Detroit and one of the few places I frequent in Detroit. NO MORE FOR THIS CONSUMER. 👎🏾Good help is hard to find, I know. However my experience was most disappointing today. I will drive the couple extra miles to shop where I'm allowed to feel valued and respected.

I recently visited Royal Fresh Market and was thoroughly impressed. The store was immaculately organized, making it easy to find everything I needed. I purchased these grapes in this store on 10/14/2017 and discovered mold on them after I opened them up and looked in the middle. I was given a refund after I returned to the store, but someone needs to do a better his of checking for freshness.

Very clean and bright. Wide aisles. Nice selection of hot food. They need to be sure to turn it from time to time. Staff is pretty nice. Wide selection of brands and prices are a bit fair, especially for a neighborhood market. Has a very nice stand that sells fragrance oils and Shea butter (I think it's garden of eden; They also have a location in tower center mall) this used to be Foodland for those who are familiar.

It's clean, well lit, well stocked and inviting. Especially for a store in an up and coming neighborhood. This store is a testament to the GREAT THINGS that's in store for the Grandmont/Rosedale area!

I am not crazy about the location of this store but I can honestly say it's a regular stop for me. For the most part, certain staff members are always helpful. I wouldn't get meat here as there have been times where the coolers were sweating during the hot months which Is why I took a star off. Also sometimes they can be a bit pricy except for when they do their markdowns which I love! But I literally get all my non perishables here. It's nice to have a quick place to shop when you need just a few items and this is where I go to.

This grocery store fresh fruit and vegetable prices are ridiculously high for the the quality and/or quantity available. I hate that this is the only option for others. I will gladly drive somewhere else.

First and foremost, I will NEVER go back here again. Out of the handful of times I've shopped here, I experienced my worst one yet. I bought water and simply reminded the cashier I had some in my cart because they usually forget to ring it up. She just looked at me. So I said it again. This time she gave me a snobby look and said, with attitude: I heard you the first time lady. I'm like I know she didn't just say that! So she rang it up and I said, I don't see it on my receipt. The word water was no nowhere to be seen. It just said grocery.I had no clue. This time, she said SO rudely, can you read??? It's right here. I wanted to punch her but I have class and respect so I just left. Water was not on the receipt, how is a customer like me supposed to know? They need to fix what's printed on their receipts! BEWARE!!!!

I’ve shopped at Royal fresh market in the past and I’ve never had a problem until June 22. I was standing in one of the aisles looking at my cell phone when I was approached by a man (Who did not identify himself), he asked me if I was putting things in my purse. I said no and he asked me if he could see the inside of my purse. That was very inappropriate because I did not look like I was doing anything wrong and I wasn’t! I paid for my groceries using my EBT card and then left the store frustrated. Later on that night I discovered another charge was made for $499 at a Sam’s club( in a whole different state) 26 minutes after I paid for my groceries using my EBT card. I can’t be two places at one time! and my card is always with me. Clearly I was a victim of fraud! Someone at the store had something to do with it. Maybe an employee! BE CAREFUL!

Royal Fresh is a great neighborhood grocery. The store is clean, the staff is friendly and helpful, and there is seldom a line at the checkout, because they always have enough lanes open for the number of shoppers. I love the fact that their location is right in my neighborhood, and I have done almost all of my shopping there during the pandemic. Update Nov. 2022: I still shop at Royal Fresh regularly. The have expanded their selection a bit, which I appreciate. I have noticed this change in the dairy, bread, and snack food departments.

A specialty brand of pet food used to be available at Royal Fresh. My dog thrived on this brand. I liked the price and preferred it because it was manufactured in a nearby state. I have repeatedly asked Royal Fresh managers and staff about the missing product, but it hasn't been here since about November 2021.I still shop sometimes at Royal Fresh, but now I purchase dog food from another grocer.

Was a favorite go to spot. But rising prices everywhere has affected this market as well, to the extreme. Nice clean location plenty of parking. More the one line is usually open so fast in and out service. They'll most definitely have what you're looking for, unless it's reasonable prices.

The server at the hot food counter in the back of the store is very rude and nasty to customers, she needs to be taught about customer service and satisfaction which clearly she lacks..the talk dark skinned woman with glasses..when and if I return to this Supermarket I will definitely no want her to serve me .....the food itself is fine though...

I've been a faithful customer for about 7 years, and I can truly say that customer service has always been consistently great. The cashiers are knowledgeable and friendly. And the prices are unbeatable! The store is clean and always smells fresh. The meat is fresh and the price is again are the lowest in comparison to another market within 5 miles radius. However, I'll have to say in all honesty the can goods are pricy!!!. I can really appreciate the late hours. Being able to pick up quick items that I may quickly is more convenient than spending a minimum of 30 minutes in Meijer.

I wouldn't advise anyone to shop here. The day I was there, I noticed past due milk in one of their coolers. Half gallon 2% expires tomorrow if still there. Also, their shopping carts are too big and the aisles are narrow. Not a good look during a pandemic. I used to like getting my hash brown patties here, but I can get them elsewhere. So, in conclusion, I will find another supermarket to shop at. If you need to get a last minute item, do so here. Otherwise, take your soles and dollars to a better establishment.

Nasty, the workers was rude. Was waiting to be served and took another person who worked their prior. Had limited food. Stated orders was already placed. Crab salad creamy and salty. Was not edible at all. Waste of time and money. Who make banana pudding with no favorite???

Such a clean and professional store. I even called one day in complaint of a cashier and I was given a very sincere apology. Apparently the cashier had SEVERAL complaints. Ever since I haven't seen her... But they have reasonable prices and great selection. Their sales are great! I recommend this market as the cashiers move quickly as well! NO SLOW LONG LINES
