wow, came here last year, it was 10 to closi ng and woman yells you got two minutes, i reply technically i have ten she yells again NO YOU DONT IM CLOSING MY DRAWER IN 2 minutes! wow not only was she rude , but clearly has no ethics or barrier for law, law stes a business must open at said time and close then, not before or after

This by far the worst location in the Detroit. The employees are always unprofessional and sometimes disrespectful. Once every blue moon it's a nice person here. I only go here as a last resort. Management gotta do something different with the choices of employees. At some point the owners have to start caring about professionalism.

I recently went into the store where I attempted to buy a gift card. The manager stated that we no longer sell gift cards and we haven't in months. Much to my surprise because I bought one there on Saturday night and throughout the Christmas holidays. I do not understand why she would tell such a blatant lie. Many of the people in that neighborhood are Srs such as myself and do not drive. We need loadable cards and gift cards to pay bills on-line. We had a very very good manager before this one and the store was clean stocked and provided all of the needed services. As soon as he left the store went down very very quickly. I am appalled. When I asked the manager for her name. She refused. I asked the employee for her name as well and she refused. Is this how customers are treated?

Went to buy a phone charger cord and wall plug in. Line was long with one cashier but we waited patiently. We'd been told to ask for both at the cashier desk once we'd gotten up there. She rudely told us that the wall plugs were behind us so we stepped back to grab a plug for 2 seconds. There were none there. She flippantly said oh well guess there were none and told us to go to the back of the line even though we had only stepped out for 2 seconds. Needless to say we left without buying. Giant waste of time.

I went for an interview and the manager ( tall light skinned dude) didn't look me in the eyes and he knew I was coming for an interview but acted as if he didn't have the knowledge of Me coming in for the interview. He kept talking g to me like he was angry and he gave me a piece of paper and walked away from me... the store is junky and out of order plus the only workers I saw working was men. No women period. Half the shelves was empty and the merchandise was scattered all over the floor. I changed my mind on working there. I was going for a assistant Manager but I will fund work else where. Where the manager will have more respect for the employees.

While the store may be a bit under-managed (for want of a better term), I have to give them a shout out for my last visit. I thought I lost my wallet. I live a few blocks away from the store and about an hour after I got home, I realized that my wallet was missing. I looked through my entire apartment and with almost 30 minutes left until the store's closing time, I walked back down to the store, retracing the exact route and steps I took on the way home. I got to the store - nervous and anxious that it may not be found or that someone took it or that the store was closed - the brother who was working that shift was walking around doing what I presume to be the close tasks. I asked him if I happened to have left my wallet. He said yes and I literally screamed in joy and relief. I honor and affirm this moment and have a deep, abiding appreciation for it. Had it not been found, the amount of work to replace everything that was indeed it would be overwhelming.

As I was standing in the checkout I literally forgot where I put my wallet inside my purse I think people sometimes do that so I asked the cashier lady for one second she says hurry up because the people in the line are going to be very upset with you taking a long time I look around me and I was like what line man? She says you're in it 😐 first of all her attitude was so bad I asked if they have a restroom I can use please.she says yes we do but you can't use it😏 how is that answering a customer terrible terrible terrible customer service this is at 8 Mile and Van Dyke sat evening 9 25 21 the gentleman was very kind- I had asked him before I asked her and he said it was up to her if she would let me use the restroom.. now don't get this wrong I'm not saying all this because she did not let me use the restroom I'm saying all this because she was downright rude I would never shop at that Family Dollar again 😐

My wife brought in her own tote bag, instead of using plastic bags. An employee accused us of stealing! She wouldn't listen to us when we tried to explain it's just a reusable shopping bag. She kicked us out. Extremely unprofessional.

Today, I used a reusable shopping bag to get a few grocery items. I have been in this particular store many times, and have used a reusable shopping bag there almost every time I have shopped. An employee came up to me in an aisle, accosted me and accused me of stealing (my wallet was in my hand) and told me to never come back in the store. I had every intention of paying for my items as I always have and I am very upset and hurt that I was treated in this manner.

Male employees are rude and disrespectful to my girlfriend every time we go here. Employees are smoking pot inside the store and reeks of it. Me and my girlfriend have gotten very sick because of this. None of the shelves are stocked and employees are coming in sick and coughing and sneezing on everything. Extremly dirty and never open on time. DO NOT SHOP HERE

Employees are nice and that's appreciated since i know its not enough of them. Here like most places since the pandemic, can't find workers. This location is much needed for the area but there's always boxes in the aisles. The floors are dirty. And some items are never restocked.

The store’s management was better before it burned down and was closed for nearly a year. The current manager is a he/she who wishes they can score a better job because he/she clearly keeps an attitude of not wanting to be there, and that vibe protrudes off on the customers. The isles stay cluttered with boxes, the cashier associates attitudes are far more worse than the manager. They got that “IM OVER-WORKED AND UNDERPAID” looks on their faces. This location just got issues...periodt.

Very convenient being around the corner from my home but the store is never clean and I've come across some very rude and unprofessional cashiers. One was behind the counter on her cell phone very loud and using profanity while customers were in line watching in shock.

I went in there just to load some money on to my cash app and to no avail they no longer accept cash app to load money on! So I was looking around the store and I found two items which I know I can use when was the slicer that was as seen on TV. And another one was a magnifier that brings is a tablet computer or Android phone iPhone 300 X closer!

In recent years this shopping complex suffered a fire. But they recovered, and now they're back with good business as always. But really all Family Dollars give good deals on name brands. So long live Family Dollar as long as they continue to give better deals than CVS, and Rite Aid.

You guys might as well shut down. Everytime I try to visit this location it's never open on time,it says you open at 8am and it's 11:15am and you are not open. Always unorganized,messy never have any bags to carry out items that's purchased and yall credit card machine never works. This is ridiculous.

This store is the worst I have ever seen. Boxes in the aisles, nothing stocked, a line around the block. Just as bad as before it burned down. Employees are wonderful though. It's a mystery.

Be careful I brought Tide PODS there was supposed to be 42 capsules inside, there was only 19 they are stealing themout of the containers. And the containers are behind the counter so that means it an inside job. Check everything you buy from there.

Product strewn all over the floor. Isles blocked by items waiting to be put on shelves. At first I thought this particular location was about to go out of business then I realized it was like that the last time I went to this Family Dollar. I think from now on I will frequent the location on W.Warren at Livernois in Detroit.
