I've been short shopping at this location for the last 4 months. New to the area, so this was the closest variety store in the area. On first visit, the place looked junky and depressing, but on subsequent visits, I'm noticing small changes and I love them. The isles are neater, merchandise is better displayed. The cashier's look a bit happier. The place is changing for the better. I'm starting to enjoy shopping there. The location is prefect, there's parking in front.

The store is junky with products in the aisles. It's difficult to maneuver a shopping cart through the store. Needs an overhaul...

I went to Family Dollar today and purchased several things, and when I returned home and unpacked my bag's to find out that the cleaning eraser 2 pk that I bought was empty, so I called the store for 30 minutes with no response. I had to walk there and back home. This is not acceptable at all. I want what I paid for $2.75 is what I paid for it and I want my eraser pads. So disappointed

Funny thing while I was shopping the lights went off in the store, the manager said they were was on a timer. The store is cluttered and the shelves are horrible there are boxes of supplies everywhere. Most likely due to understaffing, but the customer service was very nice.

I work down the street from here and I go to Wayne State so I visit this place pretty often for all of my dorm room or basic needs. Never really had an issue until recently. Place is usually pretty junky but I kinda just ignore it. There’s usually always only one register open even if the line is hella long but I’m pretty patient so I don’t mind. But them accusing me of stealing when I blow money here every week was a tipping point 😂. I work everyday, early mornings to late nights on TOP of classes, I don’t have to steal anything man, ESPECIALLY not from family dollar. Staff usually has nasty attitudes but once again, I'm a pretty patient person, but they probably won’t see me here anymore, they definitely just lost a loyal customer.

First one of the male staff accused me of stealing wet cat food then they selling spoiled milk to people and they don't answer the phone. This store sucks Stay away. It's a dollar general in the same area. Dollar general is cheaper and the staff is more helpful and respectful. This store gets -3 stars

“Nice” young fellow at the register would not let me use the restroom. Nowhere else to go in this city when you’re on the job. The other locations let me use theirs and when I tried to explain this to the employee he said “well we aren’t the other locations”. He was too busy playing on his phone to help me I guess

The store was neater than it has been.. Stock wasnt sitting everywhere on the floors waiting to be put on the shelf...However the manager assisted only a couple of customers before leaving a long line of people waiting while he got on his phone.. He looked dirty and unprofessional..the young lady who was on register worked quickly to check out complaining customers.

Do not do buy any heaters from this family Dollar the Family dollar seals that they put on them are already broken so if you try to take them back they want let you the Heaters fan are no good at all make sure when you shop with them their seals are not already broken

Like all Family Dollar's they got discount prices on the same products that you would find at Rite Aid, CVS, and Walmart. In which I prefer them over these other retailers because of their selection, and prices. But I don't like the fact that a lot of times they're out of Murray's Pomade. But other than that I like them, and will continue to shop there.

Floor stock literally blocking aisles!I am legally blind and had to avoid stumbling on a unswept floor. My clerk never smiled although I made attempts of kindness. Service at this location is horrible.

The manager their have no consideration of others when u in line they let people stand there for minutes 5 to 10 min waiting when they can take the other cash register or ask an employee to help. The place have very slow service no care for customers time in deed .

No lights in the store!!! Corporations always overlook Detroit locations & this is a prime example. This would never happen in the burbs!!!

Me as a handicap black man I have to say they are Very rude n*****. The Caribbean and the Arabs have taken over the stores and gas stations in Detroit. They need to take over all the Family Dollars in Detroit.

Talk about a ghetto experience, worker don't speak,. They sit around on boxes, in a gang type fashion,. Having inappropriate conversation, cashier's are super slow,. Long lines,. Because theirs only one cashier, this store,. Yeah is ghetto.
