I got to the store at 8:45 PM. The store hours are clearly posted on the door that it closes at 9 PM. When I walked to the door the store was already closed. Doors were already locked. The security guard sat there and was playing on his phone while I was knocking on the door, acting like he didn’t hear me. When I pulled in front of the door and got out of the car with my phone to take a picture of the store hours on the door, he got up out of his seat and walked out of my view so I couldn’t see him. I proceeded to call the store four times and no one ever picked up. If I could give them -5 stars I would. I drove up there, but God forbid if someone had to walk up there thinking they had time or had to catch an Uber or a Lyft to grab some emergency items. Needless to say that will be the last store on my list to go to if I ever need to make an emergency run at night because they’re not about to play with me and my time. They need a whole new night staff because the one that they have right now sucks

I frequent this location often. Friendly staff for the most part, usually well stocked. However be prepared to pay cash as the card machine is down often.

The manager at this location is doing a great job at getting the store clean. He is kind to customers and I can see that he is attempting to make this location a good shopping experience. My concern is the staff whom I have witnessed are disrespecrful and lack professionalism with the manage and their behavior in front of customers. The effort is dedinitely their with the young manager.

I love Family Dollar, especially on 7 mile near Greenfield and 7 mile and Evergreen in the plaza. The Cashiers are very accommodating.

Terrible service, stay FAR away. As a native Detroiter visiting only here for a few weeks, it's said to say the level of bad service still exist. There are two women who work as a cashier up front. I asked one of the young women a question which she didn't hear due to her being so in-tuned into her cell phone . During my transaction, I politely requested cash back. When I didn't receive it, I told her I wanted cash back and that it must have not gone through. Her reply: "Oh". I didn't want to interrupt her for possible violent backlash had I interrupted her personal call. I should not feel that way as a paying customer. And you wonder why most people don't like doing business in the city of Detroit. Your employees need additional training in customer service and professionalism. Also,This place is very dirty. I will not be returning.

My family dollar was ok. But our store needs to be cleaner and shelves stocked instead of boxes in isle. The store needs more employees with pride. Seems employees don't care and either does customers. However, i must say the employees have great customer service. This store hasn't always looked this way. My neighborhood needs better. Store needs good manager and some tlc.

This place is absolutely awfully. They never clean up. It's constantly boxes and creates in the way EVERYDAY! went to get some hanes sweatpants today and all the display boxes were there but nothing inside!!! Their parking lot is full of ice and they sell salt!!! Freezer has been broken for months and they just cleaned it out a week ago because of customer complaints. They only got the one star because I couldn't give them any less.

This place it's terrible. Clean lot, torn up inside! The staff is Horrible and don't know how to talk to people. The store is dirty, some parts trashed. But the community NEEDS A FAMILY DOLLAR! I'm the 4th customer that set got in there even they FIRST OPENED AND IT'S A SLAP IN THE FACE NOW TO HAVE TO GO IN THERE AND TRY TO SHOP, ITS A WASTE! What I want to know is WHAT & WHY the store district is allowing this in Our community?

Would be a negative rating if possible. This store is always dirty, nasty! Starting with the parking lot, then on inside the store. This store is very ghetto, unorganized. Workers not productive enough, uniforms dirty.. This is just this one family dollar.. All the other ones inside the city of Detroit are not well kept either. Breaks my heart to see such things trust me.

I looked online and it stated that they closed at 8pm. So I go up there and two employees were talking at the front door. I pull up and he waves his hand like no. So I'm like are you closed, but it was only 7:25pm on a Saturday.

I keep forgetting not to go there. The store is a mess the cashiers are to slow and there's always some one trying to sale me a bootleg movie. Family dollar in general isn't the best store but this is probably the worst one.

Good place to buy most of your household needs at good prices. Some things can be cheaper here so u can save alot depending on what yur buying. Plus there local in your neighborhood so u can easily get there. Unlike other big department or super stores.

Although better than some fd stores the employees are no help at all
