This little shop as saved my wallet from overspending on quality pet foods. While I was browsing Diamond's website for dealers that were on my way home from work, I came across D&D, gave them a call to verify they had the foods we use in our house and went there after work. They don't advertise and their store isn't much to look at, but they maintain a nice variety of quality brands and the store is always organized. Staff is friendly and prices are great. Don't hesitate to give them a shot!

Very very very rude staff. They don’t greet when you walk in. Didn’t feel welcome at all. They stared me down as I was looking for pet food. It’s like they were waiting for me just to leave. When asking questions they gave attitude and were bitter. I do not recommend this place if you actually love your pets. When I go into a pet store I want to find people who are just as passionate about animals as I am. They didn’t seem to know the questions I was asking and they just shrugged their shoulders. Please if this is the owners reading this train your employees to understand the value of a customer. Teach them how to confront a customer and help them with their needs. Trust me if you don’t do this soon you will get shut down no one will come.

I absolutely love D & D they have been taking care of my babies for years. My dogs always look good and professionally done. The prices are wonderful I wouldn't go any where else for my pets grooming needs.

My dog got groomed here and he ended up with alot of poorly shaven areas including his rear. We brought it up to the front cashier and they told us we would get a call back after asking if we would she told us "you really wont." After going back and forth the groomer agreed to pay for vet expenses. We ended up not having to but I can tell this place is not giving any positive customer service.

Great pet store in the city. They have everything you need and it's priced appropriately. The staff is nice especially if you're there enough and give them a hard time. They like being bothered. Can I get some feeder fish and Diamond Puppy food on the house for this nice review? Jk... I'll be by you bother you this week...

They sold me a huge bag (15$)of lizard food knowing it expired in 2 days ..then told me I cud still feed it to my bearded dragon for 3 more months 😳 they won't exchange it or refund it .. I loved this pet store B4 THEY SOLD IT A FEW YEARS BK .... These employee only care about a check not the animals or customersAlso on my way out the door they have some issues with the floor that it looks like a dip in the floor anyways I fell and twisted my ankle and the staff laughed at me and said OH WOW ARE U OK...No I wasn't ok but they were closing so they just pushed us out the door I should of called an attorney and 911 right then an there

I have to say, I hate writing this because the front desk staff are always so nice and helpful. I continued to use them to groom my dogs even when I moved almost an hour away. But I don’t know if the groomer is fairly new or what, but the last few times I took my dogs I wasn’t happy. Today is the last time I will take my dog there unless the groomer changes. My dog came home looking crazy. I hate that I paid for it. Now I have to go pay to have someone else fix it. I wish I could upload photos!I’d recommend them for pet supplies and such but not for grooming. A bath, yes but not cuts!!

Honestly your missing out if you have never been here before. Unfortunately they don't have everything but you can call before you come and talk to an actual person about products and services so that you are not driving there just to find out they aren't in stock. I gave them a five star because they are a small business that has a unique foundation.My 8 month old puppy was groomed there yesterday. I am very protective over him because I want his hair to look like a show dog. Well my yorkie came out looking very modest and I am thankful that they LISTENED and ONLY cut what I asked. They were understanding of my puppys' horrible behavior and just wanted me to supervise in the end.I would definitely refer anyone who owns animals to stop by or give them a call. You will find they have feed, pet friendly salt, scorpions, etc. Detroit's best kept secret for sure.

These people don’t care about your pets. We took fluffy to get grooming. When we went to pick him up his eye was swollen. When we asked what happened they said nothing, he was like that when we took him in. Obviously we would of notice. Fluffy was taken to the vet right after we picked him up. Bet claims either he was hit with a hard object or he was slammed into a wall or table.

I been coming to this groomer for a while now and to my surprise they make mistakes and will not let u know or bring it to your attention.Me as a regular customer should know why u did what u did but i suppose I am suppose to bring it to thier attention...?? I noticed the last three visits they cut too close to my "Rosco" on his skin to the point it was bleeding,so i need to bring that up the next time i bring my dog in.Mind u i am a regular,it should not happen ever if they want foward bussiness,,ijs

I took my shih tzu here and the charged me 65 for her because she was matted but I did not have a problem with it. When I got her back and I want home she had a deep cut right by her eye. The lady did not even tell me about the cut on her face. So I called them and they at first tried to act as if they did not know then they said it was a miscommunication between the vet and the front desk lady but there was nothing they could do about it. They said their manager would be in Wednesday then went back and said they do not have a manager. They lied to my boyfriend friend and I numerous times and I will never take my dog here again and I would advise if you care about your pet to never take your pet here either. Please be aware of their careless handling of dog!!!!

This is the most horrendous pet shop I have ever visited. I took my small dog to be groomed.she was cut in several places in addition she had been locked up in a dirty cage and she was terrified when I picked her up. this establishment does not have professional groomers.Do not under any circumstances take your pet here to be groomed. they do not care about your animal nor the trauma they inflicted.

Prices are descent.. dog treats cheap.. I take and hold both of my dogs while getting their nails clipped. Idk if it’s just me or if Sam allows everyone to hold their pet. I’ve never left my dogs for grooming .

I will go to jail over this place.Took my pup to be groomed and the groomer was horrible the back room dirty. My dog was not even finished an i still got charged full price.Clean that back up an get new groomer an i will have plenty ppl come back.But we do love Sarah

Hey guys I would like to say to anyone that trying to come to this place, Don’t!!! And I say that because First of all the employees that work there are very rude, I was standing In the store for good 45 mins until someone came and asked me if they can help me and there was no one in the store!!! Very bad customer service! Plus they are over priced I don’t recommend anyone to go there honestly!!!They looked at me some kind of way and made me feel very uncomfortable when I was at the store! They don’t know what they’re talking about when it comes to the ‏ Animals! Because I asked them a lot of questions about some animals they had in the shop and honestly didn’t know anything or what they we’re talking about!!!!

I wish I could give 0 stars. First they asked how far I wanted my shih tzu cut down 1-10 with 10 being the lowest cut down, I said 5. When I picked him up he was cut ALL the way down. Secondly, he had a BLEEDING cut right under his eye and no one said anything about it. Lastly, he has literally been whining like he’s in pain since I picked him up from here. I’m not sure what they did to my dog but I know they did something and I am livid about it. Please do not take your pets to this place to be groomed.

Was ignored for 10min ,then was told buy a guy behind the counter very loadly "I DONT WORK HERE" I ask a lady about turtles they had she had no idea so i informed her on the species she told me what ever there just turtles ...after standin in front of the counter for another min or so.. I realised i was never gettin service so i just left. Very poorly light an dirty tanks they need to shut the live animal part of store down ASAP.

This is my favorite pet supply store! You can buy Frontline one dose at a time (13$) which is better than having to buy The Whole box if you’re low on cash. There is also a pill that will take all the bugs off of the pet in just one dose. I love this hat store! I am by the front line and the pill together at first. Then after I just keep up on the frontline treatment. They also will trim your animals nails. Cats too!! Reasonable prices!

Most of the people on here that write bad reviews about their dogs FAIL to mention that when they bring their dogs in they are extremely matted and aggressive! But then they want to cry and complain about everything like really maybe if you would've trained your dog it wouldn't be wild and aggressive and if you brushed your dogs furr like your suppose to and not let your dog get matted then the poor dog wouldnt have to be shaved!! Just saying people take care of your animals because your not so innocent

Took my lil dog to get a cut , when I picked him upHe had a deep cut on his chest and under his arm, the cut was horrible, I paid first then they brought my dog out and told me about it, when I asked for my money back because they hurt my dog the said they will give me a free cut next time, he’ll no I won’t be back heading to file a case. They will give me my money back and doctor bills

I took my dog in to get her nails cut and when I went to pick her up something was wrong with her leg she wasnt putting any pressure on it and she was limping. I asked what happened and the lady told me she was jerking around when the groomer was getting her out of the crate and he pulled on her to get her out and she started crying. The lady apologized and said they would cover the vet bill i asked to speak with the man and he wouldnt talk to me. I took the dog to the vet and her leg is dislocated and she has to have surgery. These new owners are horrible. I wouldn't recommend anyone going there.

I love this place..it's convenient because it's in the neighborhood. It's small but they have everything your looking for for your pets and they also do pet grooming..great place.
