We have lived in the area, and have visited this Family Fare quite frequently for the last 6 years. Generally a pleasant experience, until recently. The fairly new girl, Madison I beleive, has zero people skills. Not even a hello at checkout. Very rude. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Very friendly staff. Small store...makes me feel like I'm shopping with my Mom when I was little... Good memories. Prices are a little higher than I think they should be...but it's a small town store.

Local for quick trips. Prices are usually way too expensive. This small town store has higher prices than the larger FF stores. The sales are usually ok, if the items are still in stock. I get my chicken there on sale. The staff is great, local folks that are friendly and helpful. I always shop the manager specials.

I just wanted to say kudos to the Bakery on the fabulous cake they made for my son's open house. It was wonderful! It looked phenomenal and tasted delicious. They did such a great job and totally exceeded my expectations! I will order again for my youngest son's party next year. Thank you for such a great cake!

It's a little pricey, as grocery stores go, but for being a small town grocery, they carry a really wide selection of brands, products, and options. I've been able to find all sorts of unexpected bonuses here, like plant based meat alternatives for vegetarians, and really nice cheese options. They're always well stocked, and clean, and the staff is friendly and helpful.

Made a stop here because the store I usually go to didn't have what I needed. I was able to find what I needed plus a few other things that I don't find at the store I usually do my shopping at. The store was clean and the cashier was nice.

The cashier Michelle does a great job and she is always happy, upbeat and so friendly!! I go to her anytime I see her working, and she is one of the few cashiers including the ones at dumb ol' walmart that knows how to bag properly! The donuts are good, not much else is.Expensive, customer service can be hit or miss. It's a shopping option.Update (11-16-2022) Produce is looking pretty brown, a shame because it's 1 week before Thanksgiving, but the customer service was good today.Update (9-5-22) Jackie "person in charge" not nice to customers. One second she's chatty and smiley with her coworker, the moment she sees me get in line her whole face changes and she acts like I'm scum on her shoe. She's not nice. She did not say goodbye to me when my purchase was complete. Should not be in customer service. Bad. Awful.Update (5-4-22) 5:30pm. There was a young lady working today who has zero personality. I think she's probably just high nosed. I'm not sure retail is the right setting for the rainbow haired girl. Dead inside, no joy or flicker of light from her. She needs to learn better customer service practices or leave. Yikes.

Seems like it's quite busy although it's a spacious store the way it's laid out, doesn't seem like the isles are too tight when you're passing people by. I enjoyed my experience there it was in and out quite quickly they also do cash back and the customer service is remarkable! I'm not even from there, I live in Holland was just passing through.

The employees are fantastic but watching how Brenda is with them is disheartening. The store would be better ran with someone who cared. She has no appreciation for them.

Saved my day having an ATM and tobacco. Thank you family fare...this traveler is appreciative. Anyway, it seemed a quaint, small town grocery. Though I'd offer also that it was relatively large with a big selection for a town the size of its home. People were friendly, clean, welcome atmosphere.

I love that it is so close. And the employees are very friendly. I just moved here from AZ and we don't have these small grocery stores. I kinda like the idea. Great store! And the bakery donuts and dessert dishes always gets me when I first walk in...lol

Family Fare is also one of the best places to get all of your WIC items, I never have a problem with finding everything, and it's easy to get what you need and get out quickly.

Convenient Location for new but on several occasions the staff were not friendly. The last time the older lady rang up and bagged my whole order and the only time she spoke to me was to tell me my total, not even a thank you or have a nice night. For a small town I expected better Customer Service.

The employees at two separate times gave this Out-of-Towner great service. Both times they went above and beyond to help find hard to find products we needed for our vacation. They also had a nice selection of products at decent prices.

Store foul odor filthy compared to the Hastings store. Way over priced items. They have no problem with selling or stocking expired items. Parking lot full of trash and cigarette butts lovely to go not!!!!!!!

Prices are dumb high for most things. Store brand here costs more than the name brand most anywhere else. Think I pay less for groceries when I go camping up at tahquamenon which is actually remote enough to justify the high prices. They have ok sales here sometimes but you gotta join their club to benefit from them and at most this just drops items to the prices they should be. The selection is okay and the staff is always nice. Store's kind of dirty. Personally I would drive the extra bit and just go somewhere else. 20 minute drive could save you $20 or more on your groceries.

I asked about the weekly meal deal, no information is stated as to when its available. The last time we wanted to get this meal deal we had to wait 45 minutes because nobody knew anything about it at that time either. Otherwise its a great store to shop at.
