Love small diners like this, the staff was great, food was really good. Affordable with good size portions. Atmosphere is comfortable and cozy. Some small cute decorations. Single person restrooms. Enough room to not be cramped but only seats around 30-40 total. Like most small businesses now an extra charge if you are paying by card but not much.Kid-friendliness: Staff was super nice to our daughter, very kid friendly.

We stopped here on a whim while passing through on a road trip, glad we did. Excellent service, our server kept the hot coffee flowing. The portions were absolutely huge! I recommend the southern omelette and the homemade whole wheat toast. It's super cozy, looks like a home that was converted to a cafe. Prices were really reasonable, less then $10 for a breakfast that could easily serve two people. We weren't expecting a whole lot but we were pleasantly surprised by the whole experience. Also, the server was super kind - she was very patient with the elderly customers who needed extra help.

I've never had a bad meal here, and some of the dishes are legitimately something I'd expect from a high-end restaurant. Wonderful atmosphere too, it's small and cosy enough that everyone's pretty friendly and happy to chat, but you've got enough space to yourself if you're not interested in that. Waitstaff are also very nice and quite fast, even at their busiest I've never had to wait more than a minute or so.Really recommend grabbing a cup of the soup of the day, they're homemade each day and really good value - my personal favourite is the chicken noodle soup and I've heard great things about the clam chowder, although I didn't touch that due to allergies.They're running some delicious deep fried Oreos at better prices than any fair, and they are by far the best I've ever tasted with the chocolate sauce and strawberry jam they add.Features: Outdoor seating is an option, but it's Michigan so whether you'd want to sit out there is another question.

Small, and only open till 3 o'clock during the week (later for fish on Friday), but the burgers are like your mom used to make at home. All the food is homemade, and tastes it. Friendly servers, as are the regulars you'll no doubt talk with.

Great place any time but don't miss the Friday night fish fry. Cozy little spot where the locals all know each other and the staff gives you real home style service. Affordable pricing too. (No alcohol.)
