Beware of this place. Prices are reasonable meaning that they won't rip you off like many other vets. However, the medical care your dog will receive there will be incompetent and it may kill him. Think of this place as Dollar General quality. That's all you will get here. Sad. Dangerous for your animal.

Very friendly and reasonably priced.They are busy. Sometimes hard to get an appointmentMy Lab stayed for spay surgery and was kept in clean supervised kennel. She recovered quickly and is happy to go back for well checks or vaccinations.My Poodle was treated for a stubborn hot spot. They helped me establish a treatment plan that I could afford.

We have taken our pets to them for a few years now, and between getting them scheduled and the over priced medications from their office, I’m less than impressed with this office. The vet is wonderful, however the older gentleman that answers the phone is nothing but RUDE and unprofessional. I have three dogs and a cat, and to save money where I can, I wished to fill my some of my pets medication at Costco. That entire process was a headache, simply because he did not WANT to write out scripts for me, even though when we first came to that office, it was no problem at all?? I also needed proof that the stool sample for all three was truly negative so I could board my dogs, and he couldn’t write out or print something for me without making it a huge ordeal. Now onto another huge issue with their office... I’ve moved and wished to have my records sent over so I could take my dog into a new vet for a respiratory issue. The Dansville vet couldn’t be bothered to send over records and it turned into a three week, back and forth between them, myself, and my new vet (helping me get the records from Dansville). The records that were sent over were very vague, not showing the dates or expiration dates for vaccines as they should.Long story short- if you have money to buy over priced medications for your pet from them and don’t plan on ever moving and needing records, then sure- give them a shot. Like I previously stated, the vet himself was wonderful, but that’s my only plus for this office.

When I had to put down my dog and cat they were very friendly and respectful. They eased my pets pain and allowed me time alone with them before the final injection. They don’t overcharge either. They’re good with animals and friendly to the people. I will be taking all my pets and future pets to this vet.

Dr. And staff are so helpful. They truly love the pets they care for. I drive 30 min out of the way just to keep going here. And prices, outrageously fair. I have 3 dogs so cost effective and quality care are top priorities. That is covered here.

Generally good experience. Priced very reasonably. Had my dogs balls removed. They kept him overnight, and did not seem to check on him or put a cone on him. He licked his stitches right off while in the kennel over the night. Thankfully I was able to keep his wound clean, but it was very worrisome for a couple weeks. They need to monitor the puppies better if they keep them overnight.

Our toy fox terrier passed away and they were so amazingly helpful about it. They were friendly, caring and they let us do things the way we wanted and in our own time. We took him there to be cremated. This is the only vet he had ever been to. Their cremation prices were half the price of everyone else I called. Thank you Dansville Vet Clinic for everything.

I have a 10.5yr old German Shepherd who has a lifelong hatred of the vet and becomes a demon from hell when she's there and requires a muzzle and me restraining her... They are very good with her and she's actually starting to relax a bit with them! I really like the staff too! Their prices are by far the cheapest I've ever had at a vet clinic.

Alright I've had some trouble posting this but I promise you its worth it because this is a great vet to take your fur babies to. Haven't been to too many vets but I'm done with Gaide vca.The people are very friendly an the environment is lovely. The price was very extremely fair i feel compared to the previous clinic. I can actually afford it or find a way to if things were that tight.I really appreciate it in these unprecedented times.. I could really continue to elaborate more an go on but ill wrap it up with i can't wait to reschedule for the next check up an ill leave it to you go to a place with a five 🌟 review or not thanks again

Loving staff and affordable prices. My dogs have received great care. Make an appointment, very busy. Not fancy and that's okay. I'm there for my dog to be healthy and that is what matters. I believe they only take cats and dogs.

Cheap/ low prices with awesome staff & great with animals. The only downside is that they're always super busy & booked with appointments. I've been coming here for 10 years now & I love it whenever I can schedule an appt! If not I go to Brooklyn roadside vet, they're just as great!

I called during business hours to get my puppy in for a very serious, blistering rash that was causing pain constantly. Never got a call back. I kept trying to call for three days before anyone answered the phone. I finally was able to get through and schedule an appointment. The morning of the appointment (two weeks later,) I got a call back from them. I told them how long it took me to get through and how long it took for them to actually return my call, and the man’s response was, “Okay...?” My fiancé brings our puppy in for the appointment, with an empty waiting room, and they have no record of our appointment and they tell her it will be at least a few hours before they can look at our dog. This place has always been totally unprofessional. Never on time; always waiting an hour past our scheduled appointments. A bunch of kids with no personal skills taking care of animals. No sense of care or compassion. If I could give them zero stars, I would. Needless to say, we will NEVER return to this place. I highly recommend avoiding this vet at all costs. What a joke.

This place isn't flashy or state of the art but boy do they care about your pets and are extremely affordable. I've been taking my pets here for the past 10 years and will continue to do so until they pass. So grateful to have such a great clinic within a few miles from my home.

Nice family owned veterinarian clinic. We live in Oakland county and drove all the way to Dansville veterinarian clinic because of the coved-19. I didn’t feel safe taking my dog elsewhere for surgery. He’s a 13 year old cocker spaniel and he had a huge mass on the side of his neck. They did a great job removing it. Thank you so much for making my dog feel better.

They literally killed my dog. If I could give them zero stars, I would. We brought our two Yorkies in to be fixed, and it was supposed to be a simple procedure. (How many dogs do these people fix in a year, right?) She was working without an assistant (even though she really should have had one) and turned on the anesthesia. She administered too much anesthesia and my dog's heart stopped. He was 3 years old and healthy. When we got the call, the receptionist delivered the bad news with a nervous laugh. Like, "well, haha, he didn't make it." I thought I was going to throw up when I heard that.That several years ago, so perhaps that particular vet doesn't work there anymore, but I still can't drive past this place without feeling sick to my stomach. That was my little brother. I hope they still feel guilty. I truly wish this place would go out of business. These people do not care about you or your furry family members. It's dirty, dingy, and super shady. Please, take your pets elsewhere so they can live a while longer.

Love the doctor here she is honest & straight forward. This clinic has the best prices too. They don't gouge the customer. It is all about our four legged family members & they're compassionate.

I called to set an appointment for my dog. I was told they don't do emergencies, ok thats fine. But then he had the nerve to tell me "well she's old any way, she will go downhill fast, hope you get her somewhere in time". It felt very insensitive, rude, and unprofessional. This clinic has lost me as a customer. There was no "hope she is ok" or anything of the sort.

Let me first start off by saying that the actual vet here is fantastic! I have been bringing my animals to her for years from as far away as Detroit. She has always been great with my dogs and her prices, while they have increased slightly over the past couple of visits, are still incredibly hard to beat!That being said, I will no longer ever take my animals there or recommend this clinic given the horrible treatment that the new receptionist/front desk lady constantly provides to myself, my fiance, my boarding facility and other customers. She is INCREDIBLY rude and snippy. I don't know if she just puts on a good show when the owner is around but my goodness, vet clinics are already annoying enough to go to without the added frustration of hearing this lady berate my over the phone and other customers at the desk.I really wish that this change hadn't happened because again, Dansville Vet Clinic WAS a great experience every time I had visited. Now it is just too much bad energy and bad customer service to make the drive worth while. I truly am sorry that I had to write this review but it is the honest to god truth.

Still too pricey. Maybe the overhead with a large staff, the recent addition costs or the payments on the doctor's caddy is to blame but if your pet needs care some of the other surrounding area veterinarians maybe more cost affective on your budget.

Dr. knows the limitations of her clinic. We have taken all three of our big dogs here for years. She's done surgeries and routine vaccinations and exams. Routine needs? Awesome clinic. Emergency or specialized care will not be found here. Love and trust Dansville Veterinary Clinic.

April 1, 2021 I show up to get my Furry Grandson to way over priced. Them forgetting about him. Then I was explained nothing really what they did and what to do for him. I told everything is in the bag. They gave me my dog hardly a wake. took 2 hours to get home. They Gave mecovid and my dad is still recovering from it.

Our fur baby passed away😭 we called the staff for cremation right before thanksgiving, they were closing but stayed open till we got there so that we didn’t have to bag and freeze our beloved baby. Upon arrival we were greeted with sympathy tears and a hug amazing ppl made it a bit easier on us. Thank you

Called when my dog had a horrible ear infection, would not see him for 4 weeks! They told me to put half/half mixture of vinegar and alcohol in his ear, which made it worse! Prices are good, but I will not be returning!

Seemed like a shady place. No computers, let the dog go while she still appeared to be severely drugged, like she could hardly stand alone. She had a tumor removed and was spayed and they weren't going to give her any pain meds until I said something. When she was dropped off, they said she would be staying over night, then later in the day they called to say she couldn't stay because it was a holiday. So far, the dog seems to be doing good, but time will tell. I was not impressed. There didn't appear to be any compassion for the animals, just a "factory" in and out as quickly as possible.

April 1, 2021 this clinic exposed me toCOVID-19. One of their staff was coughing and had no mask on and I found out he had COVID-19. A week later me and my whole family had COVID. We we’re being extremely careful not going anywhere. Our dog needed surgery so I took him and their staff gave us COVID.

Wonderful, inexpensive, quick. Just what everyone needs in a vet. They even were able to provide a solution to the horrible fleas we were experiencing last year, when no one elses meds would work!
