Actually, I am giving this Vet FIVE STARS ---but this is an explanation for all the one stars since folks that read those won't get to see my review if I post under the 230+ five stars. This doctor is so GOOD that everyone wants to come here. They can't take on new patients and do justice to the regular one. It IS hard to get seen because they are so booked up, so for routine visits .PLAN ahead. I LOVE Geiger! They are compassionate and great to work with!

I've always had pets.. so, I've always had a lot of love and laughter in my house.. and also a lot of vet bills. We've only been going to Geiger for a couple years now and I have nothing at all negative to say about the place. It's a 45 minute drive for me but since all the vets in Port Huron are money grubbing sh*ts that couldn't care less about an animal..Geiger is where I will continue to go. The staff is friendly and talkative. Geiger (sr?) has always been very kind to my dogs (even the one that tries to bite everyone) and the prices are more than reasonable. He doesn't BS you with unnecessary tests to drive up the price and when my beagle needed surgery for a very painful lump on his face he got it done same day. I'm very grateful to have finally found a vet I can trust. It was a long time coming.

I had my Doberman's ears cropped through Dr. Joel. The price was reasonable and if you happen to live far away. Dr Joel will be happy to meet half way or if he happens to be in the area. He will meet you near by whenever possible. Our Ava's ears came out remarkably beautiful.I am adding a couple new photos to the mix. My Ava girl is all grow'd up. Great job doc!

My ex and I used to take strays and we had over 24 at one time and I always took them to Dr Geiger with the help of snap we got them all fixed... Best doctor ever, probably had over 50 cats fixed

I love Geiger Vet but Geiger retired and now they are only taking locals of croswell. Maybe one day they will be back to the way they were and be able to take non residents again.

We have taken all of our pets here since we've moved to the area. They have always gotten our pets in to be seen quickly, often on the same or next day. They have varying hours per day, so call ahead. The waiting room is small, but they keep the office flowing well enough to prevent crowding.Their prices are low, and all treatments and procedures have been very reasonably priced. They are caring and compassionate, but they are direct in their communications with any concerns they find.I have been able to get replacement copies of rabies vaccination records/etc with ease.

I have been going to Geiger Vet Clinic for about 15 years with my dogs. I have to say that Dr John Geiger is an amazing vet. I know he does the best by us and our animals. The office staff also works so hard to keep things moving. It is a drive for us to go up but we really appreciate John and his crew so much that it makes it worth it.

Love them. Great staff, most of the time you can get an appointment within a few days. Both Dr. Geiger and Dr. Joel are wonderful to both your pet and you. Have talked to Dr. Langolf once (he does the large animals) and he was very helpful too.

I am an old lady and Doc has been the best vet. Humorous, sensitive, inexpensive. When I was very young I went to many, many vets around Port Huron. They want you to get surgery, when it's not needed or won't help. They're all about the money. They, also, love to preach. Not Doc. <3

My 6 month old standard poodle had to have her leg amputated and this office put up with all my phone calls and questions. They were amazing! They care about the pet and not the profits! She is running around like a crazy girl and has no idea she is missing her leg. Thank you all at the office!

Not the same without Dr Geiger .switching. Going to thumb veterinary verry professional Super clean!!! Happy people work there! Look into. It. !!! We are happy. !!!.not as. Cheap as geigers was but. Knowledgeable and care!! Not like the vet. That took over. At least he changed the name and isn't discracing Dr geigers name!! One too many bad experiences with new guy.bye-bye🙈😵

I was recommended by the breeder I adopted my Doberman puppy from. I was told to go no where else if I wanted the best for my Dobe. After reading reviews about this clinic I was skeptical I was going to get a appointment due to its popularity for Doberman ear cropping. After I called to attempt to make an appointment, they got me in 2 days later! That’s not the impressive part.. After I drive 1 hour 30 min to get there, I was given verbal instruction on what was going to happen. The process took 1 hour, and after was given specific information to help my Dobies ear heal the most efficient way. Due to the fact I live 1 hour 30 min away I was told he would be in my neck of the woods once a week, and could check in on the healing process along with posting the ears for no additional cost! They really made me feel comfortable, and at ease due to their professionalism. What stands out the most to me though is how much they cared about the healing process after the procedure was done. They didn’t shone me away, they instead insisted I keep them in the loop so my Dobes ears healed correctly! I dare you to name another Vet that cares this much about their patients. I’ll wait... Thank you Dr. Geigers office and we’ll definitely be returning for all our Dobermans needs. One of a kind experience and I didn’t have to break the bank!

I was recommended by my breeder to have my Doberman Pinscher puppy ~7weeks old to have the ears cropped by Dr Joel P. at this location. The staff is great, but the doctor is not. When I initially called him, he said he was 'getting tired' of people asking him to do the procedure if they are a first time owner of a puppy w/ cropped ears due to the tedious aftercare. I felt confident for post surgery cleaning after watching the videos posted on his clinic's website. Procedure went well, took the dog home, followed all the instructions, however, unfortunately, the tip of my puppy's ear started an infection on the suture site draining pus. I called Dr Joel P. several times, and he would not answer..given he is a busy Doctor, however, stated on their discharge intructions "24/7 availability" if there is any abnormal drainage. He is a very hard person to get a hold of. I txted him pictures hoping for a response,, after several hours of intermittently calling, he finally answered and told me to call back next time because he was going 'out-of town'... well I called back later, and he would not answer,, then kept ignoring my calls and texts.. i stopped after 3 days trying to get an answer,, in the mean time, I did the best I could to clean the wound up and took to my local Vet,,who happily took care of the wound from there, prescribing stronger antibiotics,,and now my puppy's ear is doing great..I would not recommend a physician who does not answer calls back, especially in times of need. What disappointments me the most is that these are lives they are playing with.. Don't be a doctor if you cannot uphold your '24/7 emergency'...

Drove 5 hours to get my dobermans ears cropped and they went above and beyond! So happy with how Bellas ears look and they arent all the way healed yet. Highly recommend!!!

In the last year my family has grown to include two Dobermans. The first breeder suggested that we take our female puppy to see Dr Joel, A YEAR AGO, but when I called to make an appointment I was told they weren’t accepting any new clients, even though our breeder IS a client. Okay fine WHATEVER. Fast forward to today, we just brought home our male and I called again to see if they would take this puppy on as we may stud him. I asked if they were taking new patients and the woman asked me if I was a current client. I answered no. She then asked, “well where do you live?” And I answered marine city. She then said, “no.”Like okay, first of all, how does it matter where I live???? Secondly, I could live in France and my money is still green and spends then same! Thirdly, if I’m willing to make the trip then why????? I have known Dr. Joel since I was a kid and know and BEEN TOLD BY MANY he’s the best with Dobes so yes I want him to take care of my animals but this is very frustrating and kind of aggravating.Btw, the breeder we got our female from a year ago lives in lapeer and that’s farther than marine city!!! So I don’t even understand how distance can be a factor.Dr Joel if you read reviews we want to see you!!!! Our year old female, Bluebird has Blue Doberman syndrome and it’s such a struggle, we love her so much but we just can’t find anyone who understands and can help! Please!

I called here for my dog to be treated for a broken leg. These people care so much about animals they haven’t accepted a new patient in 3 years. LOL put in the country where there’s only 2 hospitals available in the area! It should be posted somewhere so when someone is frantically calling places at 2am they don’t waste their time on this place. My dog still still suffers in pain with a broken leg because we can’t find a local vet.
