Room not ready as promised at 4 pm. Too bad you can't take pictures of the smell. Owner charged us for two nights before arrival, we were not comfortable with room conditions, so we paid for one night (even though we left), owner refunded me one night (our friends are still waiting to see if they get one-night refund, but we're afraid because of my honest review, they won't get it). Our friends room had no windows, no A/C in any of the rooms. Our room had a small window, but no screen.

Too bad the new owners do not seem to care. High prices, not open for snowmobiles. Never open for breakfast. Truly a waste.Food & drinks: Very expensive drinks. Food is okay when you can get it. Forced to seek other options in Copper Harbor. Sad what the new owners have done. Maybe they'll sell and some one that cares will purchase and run.

my 2 sons and I stayed here for 2 nights on our rock hunting trip. The rooms could of been cleaner but they were good sized. The bathroom was good sized and we liked that there was a microwave in the room. The bar was closed when we stayed and they only served breakfast and lunch in the restaurant until 2. We did manage to get a table for breakfast and it as delicious. It's advertised that there is a hot tub but that was taken out also. The staff was friendly and helpful whenever we needed anything

Great lunch in one of our annual "must go to" restaurants. Quick, friendly service and great comfort food!Food & drinks: Great food and service. There was also a beautiful bar inside and plenty of seating.

The location was nice. The owner was nice. The restaurant attached to the resort was very nice. The room wasn't so nice. Dead flies everywhere, the bathroom floor was spongy and leftover moldy rotten coffee was left in the coffee maker. The heating system was very good but very loud at night. I did enjoy my stay because the bed was comfortable and warm.

Such a great restaurant! Beautiful interior decor and a good location in town that makes it easy to find. The service was amazing, and the good was great. Loved the portion size too. Best bacon I've ever had. I'd definitely go back.

I believe this is now called Lake Effect Bar and Grill.My salad was outstandingMy friends bacon on his burger was burnt, but they replaced it.I would say the food is very good and you should try it if you are not in a hurry.Brussel sprout appetizers were phenomenal!

We ate here on labor day and they were packed. I'm never hopeful for crispy, well-cooked hash browns when a restaurant is slammed, but they pulled it off with normal wait times. Our food was so incredible, we cleaned our plates, which our family has never done. We had to eat here the next day too. We come from lake of the Ozarks, Missouri, which is also a tourist area, with way more restaurants than copper harbor, and yet nothing like the restaurants they have here. So much quality, we were blown away.

Just okay. Rooms are pretty old, ceiling tiles weren’t placed correctly, only one channel on the TV, and the window shades are kind of see through. Dead bolt didn’t work on our door either, but we still felt pretty safe. Also, you check in at the bar which confused us at first. It was a clean room and worked for the night, just not what I expected for the price.

Called day of for a reservation and after just a few hours of being there got a call for a family emergency and needed to head back home. When we had called to see if we could get any form of refund, since we didn’t stay, the owner was very rude on the phone and wouldn’t give us back a dime. We were told we needed to give 48 hours notice to cancel when we had only booked the room 3-4 hours prior. It wasn’t very clean from what we saw just setting our stuff in the room. Definitely NOT worth $98. 10/10 wouldn’t recommend.

Had some serious plumbing issues in our cabin that resulted us to not be in there for the day but had 4 people in and out of the building during the day. Paid our bill and called it good. The cabin was simple, we wished the toilet would have worked fine but oh well. restraunt service for Sunday morning breakfast was good. Food was good. Beds were clean and comfortable.

You can always find a cozy atmosphere and great food at The Pines. The staff is friendly and helpful. Although the menu doesn't stray far from the classics, the food is so well made and delicious that it doesn't matter! The cod basket is a personal favorite of mine, but I've honestly never been disappointed with any of the food options.The live music at Zik's Bar is also a highlight, so check that out if it's happening.

Excellent location right on the waterfront. Room was clean and well lighted. Close to restaurants and brewery. The view is the main selling point here as you get to look out at the water, small island, and boat dock. Sunset cruise is worth your time and money, but book ahead as usually sold out in the vacation months. Launching point for Isle Royal trips using the same boat as sunset cruise.

We had waited too long to make other reservations. There is zero cell service so we just walked to the desk (in the bar) and needed a room for the night. Beds were soft. Plenty hot shower. Coffee and fridge. There was left over food in the fridge so that was tad gross. It wasn't moldy or anything. Was nice choice. There was a tub tv! Had cable so we didn't mind it at all. The heaters worked realllllllyyy well. So we stayed cozy.

Convenient but dated.I rented a cabin at Pines for my snowmobile trip. Location was perfect for me. The cabin was OK. Very old carpet, dated furniture, but everything functioned. I will stay there again and I recommend it if you have low expectations.Clean towels, dirty shower curtain, clean beds, dirty pots, no funny smells but there were flies.Late night checkin was not a problem for them and they also have a bar and a restaurant attached.

I ate breakfast there and the food was great but the service was terrible.we walked in and waited since the sign said "Please Wait to be Seated" after a few minutes of servers walking by trying not to make eye contact, they finally seated us.They never said hello, just expected us to follow. We had to ask for coffee since they didn't seem to offer, we had to get up 3 times to get more coffee, syrup and ketchup. The server said she would bring it but never did.I ate at this place about 4 years ago and the service was great, the only thing keeping this place in business is they have good food and not a ton of competition.They seemed to treat everyone with the same amount of apathy and poor service, I kept noticing other patrons looking around like where is my server.I am giving it two stars only because of the food quality, otherwise it would be a one

What a splendid little place!!! The 2 bedroom cabin was too stinking cute! It was nice to have coffee and everything in the kitchen. Beds were very comfy! The restaurant and bar were just a stone throw away:) would highly recommend staying here! Great experience!!

I stayed here for 4 nights. The room was nice and clean. Housekeeping made sure my coffee and towels were stocked up everyday. I'll come back next year if there is vacancy. Thanks again for a great stay!

We stayed for 2 nights in motel room.Amenities are dated but functional.Everything went well until second night, when we found out that wall insulation is very poor and there was a loud party and we could literally hear everything and couldn’t sleep.If you want quiet stay you may not get what you want.

We rented a room prior to going to Isle Royale. It was a pleasant stay. We spent several hours in the bar which has a great atmosphere. We ate breakfast at the restaurant. It was a very pleasant experience and we even saw some northern lights.

For the price, the food was marginal. We had breakfast and it cost nearly $25 for 2 omelets, hash browns and coffee! Crazy! Our waiter was hard to understand because he mumbled. We definitely would NOT go back!

We were staying in the separate building. It’s more a side room as someone else’s house. The roof was leaking and the faucet is the shortest one I’ve ever seen in my life. The room is super small with no tables at all. Not recommended at all.

Stayed in cabin #14. Yes it looks odd on the outside, but it's a cozy cute little cabin on the inside. The bed was comfy, the shower was hot, the little heater worked great! We stayed 2 nights and they came in and gave us fresh towels while we were away without asking. WiFi wasn't the greatest, but I was able to upload pictues, but let's be honest you are not up there to be online. Defiantly would stay again.

We had a great experience at The Pines. We stayed in Cabin 18 and it was comfortable, cute, and very clean. The staff was friendly and accommodating and the location, right next to a main trailhead, was extremely convenient. We can't wait to go back!
