If you are looking for a place that is not like everything else this is it. Cute rustic cabins truly give you that old-time feel. No TVs, as this place is meant to get you to connect back with nature. And the lodge offers ALOT of year-round activities. From night sky viewing (this is an IDA dark sky Park!), to mountain biking, hiking, golf, and snowshoeing - yoy are covered. They even rent gear. I love it here.

If you are looking to disconnect from the world, then this is the place! Beautiful nightsky, great staff, cabins were great! If you know how to start a fire, then I highly recommend turning off all the lights and enjoying the fire inside the front room. If you need to stay connected to the outside world, though, I do not recommend it as you won't be able to. The internet is available, but it comes and goes as it pleases. I plan to go again here soon!

My husband and I stayed here two nights to celebrate his birthday, and we loved the whole experience. As beautiful as it is to drive up there, staying in the cabin and walking the trails was even more impressive than I expected. The Lodge stands out at the top of all my travel stays. We'd heard the food was good but even the food exceeded our expectations too. We ordered from the window. What kind people Wadid and John are, and the Keweenaw is lucky to have them and the ideas they are implementing, and all the hard work they've done to preserve that special place.

The Keewenaw Mountain Lodge is such an amazing place. The history of the lodge alone makes it a worthy destination, but when you add in the natural beauty of the location it makes it a must see destination. The new owners are wonderful and make every effort to ensure your visit is memorable. We took advantage of the chefs dinner during our stay and it was a highlight.

The cabins were very comfortable. The main lodge was beautiful, majestic and historic. There were plenty of beautiful trails to hike nearby.Private dining with Chef Wi was something that we have never experienced in our lifetime. The course began with the blueberry sorbet, her very own recipe made with the finest fresh local ingredients. The main course, appetizer and desert were equally as impressive. Her passion for culinary perfection coupled with desire to please her guests with her pleasant personality, intelligence and gift-for-gab made it an experience we will never forget.--Glenn & Carol

My husband and I recently stayed here. The cabin (16) was rustic and yet had all the amenities you would need. The windows in the main room opened out to the forest behind the cabin. The scent of the trees and rustle of the leaves was relaxing and serene. The breakfast bowls and wraps were delicious. We met Chef Wi who was friendly and kind and Martin was attentive and helpful. The staff at the Outdoor Activity Center were very helpful and knew a lot about the area; local hiking/biking trails, good spots to see stars, rivers and streams as well as other interests. We hoped to see the stars and milky way because it is a registered dark sky park, but the weather didn't cooperate. We are planning on coming back and hope to stay longer.

We’ve stayed here twice while visiting my sons at MTU on camping/motel/lodge trips & loved it! Cabins are cozy & immaculate, and in my humble opinion, very reasonably priced, especially considering Included breakfast. We met the chef wandering around the lodge & she was a delightful woman… which brings me to my one minor complaint; I wish they would reopen the bar in the lodge. After our days of hiking at Tahquamenon Falls, motorcycling around the peninsula, sunsets on Brockway mountain, cooking outside on the cabin grill, exploring Gay sands, and stargazing on the golf course, it would be nice to meet up with other travelers & find out who we were staying with & what they’ve experienced. The official policy is that they want guests to get outside & enjoy the surroundings; it’s a beautiful building & I feel like it’s going to waste. Girlfriend & I had a drink from the snack bar & were the only people enjoying this wonderful space. As a history major, that’s a shame.

I recently stayed at the Cabins Up North in the Keweenaw Peninsula, and it was an amazing experience! The cabins were cozy and well-maintained, offering a perfect retreat in the midst of nature. The serene surroundings and breathtaking views made for a truly peaceful getaway. The staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating, ensuring that all our needs were met. I highly recommend these cabins for anyone seeking a memorable and rejuvenating stay up north.

Keweenaw Mountain Lodge exceeded our every expectation! Staying in a dark sky park was a dream. The area was beautiful and the service was impeccable. The cabin was perfectly clean and full of everything we could need. We made a fire in the fireplace on a rainy day, and they delivered extra wood right away. Breakfast was included with the stay- delicious and easy! We made a last minute decision to travel for the Perseid Meteor Shower, but their website said sold out- call to be put on the waitlist. I called and they were happy to take my info and called back a few days later with a cancellation. The outdoor activity center helped us to find the perfect spot to watch and it was great to meet area photographers. We couldn’t be happier with our stay at KML and already plan to return!

We love to walk this course. It is a great work out. Fun course to play, but the greens feel very spongey and slow. Would be nice if there was separate drink service from the dining hall, especially since they only have cans and no cocktails.

Great to be back after many years away. Cabin with forced air and baseboard heat along with fireplace used almost every night was great. Disappointed by no dining room but cafe for included breakfast and optional lunch ok with local dinner choices. Emphasis on adventure experiences like nature hikes, mountain biking, golf, and dark sky stargazing including Perseids was great. Small staff was stretched but friendly and helpful especially Monica, Amy, and Matt. Very responsive to our needs - replaced microwave and brought fireplace wood. Looking forward to returning.

Perfect venue for an anyone seeking the perfect wilderness experience. We had a very comfortable stay in cabin 19 for 4 days. With the large stone fireplace going during the cool night(50's), and the beautiful hand hewn logs, it really does provide a special ambience that brings back in time.If you can afford the $100/person private dining by Chef Wi, do it! You will not be disappointed. This is coming from someone(me) who has traveled the world in search of great food. Chef Wi will blow your mind from start to finish with her extraordinary farm to table food and personal service that she provides.

I've only eaten here a couple of times at the cafe and gotten a drink at the bar. Absolutely love everything about this place, such a positive atmosphere, excellent 10/10 breakfast burrito, super nice staff. Hoping to make it back to stay here with a group of bikers

HORRIBLE STAFF,HORRIBLY RAN PLACE ALL TOGETHER,my friends and I wanted to play golf there and I believe it was max that worked at the golf course wouldn’t let us on for unknown reasons, and then it seemed as if all the staff teamed up against us and we’re super rude and made us all uncomfortable so we left!,would not Recommend to anyone! Especially young kids with how the staff was behaving

We stopped here randomly and were pleasantly surprised. This place has historic significance (go there to find out for yourself). The staff was super, go out of their way, friendly. We had a from scratch lunch that was great and then had a couple beers by the fireplace. The cabins they rent looked great. This would be a nice place to stay at anytime throughout the year.

We made a reservation for private dining and it was amazing. Chef Wi prepared a four-course meal with dishes inspired by a variety of international cuisines. Every dish had a balanced flavor profile and was brilliantly executed. She provided us with excellent service and full descriptions of the ingredients and preparation of the dishes. The lodge itself is in a picturesque setting and provides a quaint wilderness lodging atmosphere. The lodge is also a certified Dark Sky Park providing amazing views of the night sky. I will be back on my next trip to the Keweenaw Penisula.

Spent the weekend at KML and it was amazing. The cabin was perfect. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. You can tell that the family that runs the place puts in every effort to make it a great experience. If you are visiting for biking, the access to the trails couldn't be any easier. We will 100% be back again.

Wish we had stayed there! Stopped by for 15 minutes to just see the historic lodge building. Spent two hours - shopping their gift shop, enjoying the many historic photographs and accompanying stories on numerous walls, had enjoyable lattes and walked around the lodge. Beautiful property. We can envision an afternoon spent in the wonderful Northwoods bar before dinner in the incredible dining room. This is 1930s-1950s opulence at its best.

We played golf: $90 for a tee for 2 and $35 for a cart. Do yourself a favor and opt for the robot caddy that follows you for $12.50 instead, DO NOT GET A CART. There is not a flat area on this course, you get thrown around quite a bit playing through this course twice like we did. You will wish you walked it if you don't. We didnt understand the recommendation either from the recreation activity guy (hes awesome though), but now we do. The course is really fun and unique, but it is overpriced. Clearly the location is the draw and thats fine, but the greens and tee boxes are not top quality. We did enjoy our experience but will probably never be back.

The Outdoor Activity Center folks are very knowledgeable, helpful, and courteous. Our experience at the café was a bit odd. Not much of a selection. First off, I was not allowed to order a lavender latte with only a half shot of syrup. Nope, they just don't do it that way. He refused. Then Martin tried to school me as to why that wasn't an appropriate way to order a latte. For breakfast, they only offer three different breakfast burritos that can also be made as a bowl. I ordered a breakfast bowl. I asked for my tortilla on the side. I was told by Martin, "NO TORTILLA" because I got the bowl, even though I paid the same price as a burrito. He absolutely refused to give me a tortilla. I asked the women who was cooking and she said they don't give those ordering a bowl the tortilla because people often do not eat it. She then mentioned people tearing their tortilla off the burrito and not eating all of it which was apparently offensive to her. I finally convinced her I would eat the tortilla and she gave me one... after my food was cold. I would not recommend going there for breakfast. There is a food truck in town that is much much better and they smile at their customers :-)

Awesome place for the whole family. Delicious food, beautiful golf course, top-notch outdoor gear and guides, and nicely appointed lodging. The conference facilities and catering staff are extremely helpful and accommodating. My family has held a few events here over the past couple of years, and we have been very pleased each time. I recommend KML for all of your adventures, outings, and needs!
