My boyfriend and I did the sunset paddle on Thursday. The weather was perfect and the views were breathtaking! Eli and Lynn, our guides, were thorough with safety and instruction beforehand and extremely informative during the paddle. Lynn gave us some great insight into the fun local things to do while in town as well.Both my boyfriend and I agreed that the sunset we were able to see on Lake Superior was the #1 best sunset we've ever seen! This company and the sunset tour specific is a must do while in Copper Harbor!

Booked the Agate Harbor kayak tour and it did not disappoint!!! The whole experience was great, from ease of reservation, getting outfitted with our equipment, and making sure everyone was comfortable and informed before we launched. And our guide Lena was amazing - super knowledgeable, extremely professional, patient and kind, and lots of fun! Would highly recommend and will definitely book again next time we’re here!

A must stop for all things fun! We did the 2.5 hour kayak tour, with Bonesy and Fisher! They were both very fun and knowledgeable on kayaking and the area! Fisher recommended Fitzgerald’s Hotel & Restaurant (in Eagle River) for dinner - The food was absolutely delicious! Thanks for the fun, guys!

We took the sea kayaking tour (evening, so we could catch the sunset). It was AMAZING. The entire staff was so helpful and accommodating to everyone's needs and abilities. This was far and away the group's favorite activity from our vacation. Everyone is still raving about it!

We had such a great time with our family in copper harbor, and KAC made it happen! We did a kayak tour and rented mountain bikes to enjoy the amazing trail system. The trails are well marked and the staff was super helpful in choosing trails for our experience level. The shuttle was an excellent feature to maximize enjoyment. Even our 9-year-old was able to go down the flow, and our 7-year-old enjoyed the fanny hooe trail! We did a two and a half hour guided sea kayak tour and got to experience some rougher water outside the harbor which was definitely a highlight. Lily, Tyler, and Jake were excellent guides and Raymond (the owner) was so helpful making sure we had everything we needed. We can't wait to go again!

This was my first time mountain biking, and thanks to our phenomenal guide Jake, I went from never riding a mountain bike before to conquering a few green and blue trails in a couple hours. Signing up for a guided excursion was super easy at the front desk, and the fittings for our bikes were very comfortable and accommodating. We had plenty of time to practice on some easy trails near the shop, then the shuttle was perfect for our trip to more challenging beginner trails. It was the perfect balance of instruction and fun. Already planning our next trip back to bike some more and kayak Isle Royale!!

What a great guide service! I called on a Tuesday, relatively impromptu, and they fit me in as a solo on Thursday. We had Chris as a guide, ended up doing the 1/2 day trip down to Bete Gris. First class guide work, 4+ hours on the water with Chris and pleasant conversation. The shop is well-appointed, and they had our party outfitted quickly and down to launch point. Highly recommend if you make it to Copper Harbor!

This company is the bomb. Took the bus in order to see more trails and they were very accommodating. Very chill staff. Eric was super awesome and gave us rides to and from the bus to whatever trailhead. Would definitely recommend for anyone visiting copper harbor for the mountain biking.

Lena, Jake and Fisher (our guides for sea kayaking) were excellent! As a large family these types of little adventures can sometimes be challenging as there are such a variety of favorite things to do. These 3 were very diligent in making sure everyone understood everything from how to paddle to what to do if you tip over (a very rare occurrence). We then paddled as part of a large group for nearly 2 hours. They engaged with everyone and managed the variety of skill levels in a professional but fun way while also sharing some information about the area. We all would highly recommend Lena, Jake, Fisher and Keweenaw Adventure Company.

Me and a buddy were on a mountain bike trip and had Derrick at the bike shop taking us on shuttled runs. It was the perfect way to ride the trails (we got 30 miles and 5,000' vertical descent in). Erin was the coolest, appreciated all the good advice and recommendations, well worth every penny!

My husband and I booked a 2.5 hour Porter Island kayak tour and were so pleased with our experience. We have kayaks of our own at home, but thought it would be a great idea to dip our toes in with guidance before attempting Mother Superior on our own.Isaac our guide was friendly and accommodating. It was a foggy day which may have turned some away but we’re delighted we went. Spooky, and cool!Thank you, Isaac and Ramen!

This was my third time renting a dual suspension mountain bike from Keweenaw Adventure Company. The bikes are in great condition. The team members that work there are knowledgeable about the bikes and the trails. They also have shuttles to the top of the trails at Keweenaw Mountain Lodge and Brockway Mountain, though it is not daily. Great experience.

As a person who grew up on the water, but yet a kayaking novice on a big lake (and for my husband who isn't a water person at all), your instructions and attention to detail made both of us (especially him), extremely comfortable.AND...your stand up comedy routine (or should I say "sit down " routine) wasn't half bad either, LOL.Beautiful excursion....thank you again!

Full service bike mechanics, Guided tours, tons of accessories of all kinds and I think they also have cabins and cottages for rental.You can’t go wrong with the Keweenaw Adventure Company, Sam and his significant other have created an oasis of activity and adventure at the tip of the Keweenaw peninsula. Hailing from a town where tarmac is king, I spent the last 12 years as a roadie. With the exception of the occasional cross country hardtail rental, I never truly knew how much MTB was for me. A year ago soon after buying my first trail bike, I started researching all the must-ride midwest destinations for dirt lovers. After a ton of anticipation, I finally made it up to Copper Harbor. The best decision I made was to book a 2.5 hour time slot with Keweenaw Adventure Company and pay the two person minimum cost to secure a 1 on 1 guide. I initially wondered if that was an indulgent move, but was so glad that I splurged. My situation may seem niche, but it should be known to all the solo intermediate/advanced riders considering a trip to Copper Harbor that KAC has guides that will not only show you the trail systems, but can coach you on the advancement of your skillset and confidence. After 2.5 hours working with Jake, I felt tighter in the berms, faster on the decents, and more efficient in my climbing. By the end of the day, I was attempting features that were out of my comfort zone earlier that very morning. Having worked as a health coach in the past, I understand how challenging it can be to communicate multiple new concepts in a short period of time to a client, but Jake had a way of feeding me insights that were easily digested and instantly applicable, and because of this I left feeling as though I’d gained a season or more of riding experience in one action packed lesson/tour. I want to thank the KAC team for being so professional and friendly. Lena was super kind in the shuttle, Shelby was very patient and helpful with me on the phone with my laundry list of questions, and on my future trips up to the Keweenaw Peninsula, I hope I get to run into other members of this staff. Great times, great vibes, 10/10 recommend.

Awesome people who are really down to earth and always willing to help out. My friend broke his dropper and the crew helped fix it in no time. I went mountain biking for a few days, and took the shuttle when it was open, and it sure beats biking up the mountain.

We spent a week in Copper Harbor attracted by the allure of the Keweenaw Peninsula and the sea kayak tours of the Keweenaw Adventure Company. I must say Sam and Shelby do a good job managing these outings as they get complicated with the lake conditions (wind speed and direction, wave size, storms) varying by the hour and the diverse paddling skills of the groups. We had two enjoyable trips with fascinating lakeshore scenery. The guides, Tyler, Joey, and Chris, do make a difference with amenable and informative conversation in addition to their professional drills. The core of the KAC business, however, is mountain biking where they are creating a choice spot in the Midwest through a well-designed trail system, bike rentals, and shuttle service. You will be in good, careful, and enthusiastic hands.

We did a mtb tour with Zeke and it was transformative. It basically turned into a lesson and he gave us great technique tips that immediately improved our riding and experience. He also gave us exercises to work on balance. Cannot recommend strongly enough for beginner or intermediate riders to start their Copper Harbor experience at KAC with Zeke.

Went on a sunset tour with our group of 10, the 3 guides were great (Bonesie, Issac, and Cory)! We had a great a time and even though a storm came up towards the end and the sun didn’t cooperate, the guides were entertaining and our kids ages 10-22 had a blast! Would definitely hire them again !!!
