Placed an order for curbside pick up several days ago. Went 2 days ago to pick it up. Sat in the curbside pickup spot for 45 minutes calling the number on the sign that is meant for curbside pick up and no one ever answered the phone or came out to me. I ended up leaving because 45 minutes is outrageous to wait. Returned today on the 23rd at 1pm to attempt pick up a 2nd time and again called numerous times, no one ever picked up the phone after calling and waiting for 20 minutes. So I finally decide to go inside the store and what do I see? A woman sitting at a register IGNORING the ringing phone. She looks up at me finally and not one apology for the wait this time and not one word when I told her that same thing happened 2 days p prior but was an most hour wait. What is going on with Flowerland lately?? They never use to be this bad. And the old cashiers actually were doing jobs. Not just leaning on a counter ignoring the phone.

Flowerland has a huge variety of house plants, annuals, perennials, trees and bushes, they carry home decor, pots, rugs, Christmas trees, fresh cut flowers, specialty candy & different sauces. They have tons of seeds & bulbs, soil, sod, mulch anything you may need for an outdoor project. The stores are never the same, they switch it up constantly! Very nice staff and reasonably priced!

The Alpine store has beautifully updated decor inside and out. New paint, new displays, new houseplant area, and beautifully laid out departments.They feature everything you need for your garden, lawn, home, patio, and deck, etc. From lawn and garden tools, grass seed, birdseed, and planters, to fresh cut flower bouquets, gourmet foods, home decor, and patio furniture.Flowerland is always my go to destination for everything home and garden and is one of my “perennial” favorites!

Great selection in the spring for garden veggies, herbs, and flowers! They also have a wide variety of houseplants year round and the employees are always knowledgeable on plant care, etc.

We've been getting our trees here for a few years now. Even though the trees are little pricey its a great family tradition for us and goes back to when I was kid going to the 28th street location. The store is always looking beautiful this time of year and my son loves it. I was surprised at the lack of tree choices this year but I know there is a tree shortage.

This is my favorite place to get lawn and garden supplies. They have a wide assortment of fertilizer, seed, mulch, dirt/manure (esp. Dairy Doo), herbicide, etc and their prices are very reasonable. They also have a great nursery with all sorts of baskets, planters, flowers, bushes, trees, and other greenery. The staff are very knowledgeable and helpful, and the service is always prompt - from the cashiers to the curbside pickup. Highly recommend.

Flowerland has much to offer with plants and outdoor decor. They have plenty of options to decorate your patio or deck. They also include seasonal items. While they have a variety of options, they are expensive unless you shop during their sales. I enjoy their selection of indoor plants and find the plants to be more affordable than the decor. They have plenty of instructions and people who can help you with your gardening needs.

Leaving 2 stars because their curbside pick up process isn't very efficient or quick. This is the 3rd time I've placed a curbside order at the Comstock Park location and the 2nd time the order wasnt brought out to my vehicle for 20+ minutes after calling and texting the curbside phone number with my name and order #. I always place my order the day before and always arrive around noon the next day (website says orders are ready next day by 10am). The 1st time it happened the employee didn't mention why it took so long or apologize for the long wait. Today the gentleman who brought my order out seemed very apologetic and explained the wait was due to no one ever picking the order the day before, so he had to run around and grab everything while I waited. I understand a shortage in employees bringing out orders or whatever the case may be but that clearly wasnt the case and the last 2 times I was the only person waiting for an order and it still took them 20 minutes or more.

We were looking for a Concord Grape plant. The first employee sent us inside, the 2nd employee (a young female with red hair and ponytail) told me she didn't know where they were and just walked away, as if I was bothering her. A 3rd employee sent us outside where they actually were. I called and spoke to a Manager. When I mentioned how rude the red head was she said "they are under the gun out there". Hmmmm so that makes it ok to be rude to a customer. I won't be back!

Time for a new Christmas tree! The old one was like ten years old. They have so many beautiful trees we couldn't make up our minds. Then Zack asked us if he could help. That guy was sharp, explained all the different features. He was a great help now we've got the perfect tree. Thanks zack!!!

Went all over looking for a patio dining set. Found the PERFECT set at Flowerland. They had a big selection and good quality products. We prefer American made. These sets are a big purchase so we really wanted to sit in the chairs. They had a good range of styles and options. They do need to make sure this significant product is better represented online. We wandered in for flowers after a full afternoon of searching for patio furniture and were surprised by all the great sets bc this store did not appear in any google search for patio furniture. And yet this place was best.

The good: They have a nice collection of house plants, soils & soil ingredients, pots and will occasionally have some unique plants come in. Some of the items here are surprisingly expensive. I've purchased nearly every plant I own from this store. I've had very good results with the plants I've purchased.The not-so-good: Definitely inspect these plants before purchasing. Some of them can be in pretty rough shape but this is often very noticeable at first glance. However, I will pay closer attention to the roots of the plants I purchase here in the future. I recently bought a Scindapsus Pictus from this location that I was super excited about. Upon taking it home & repotting it; I found that what I purchased were clippings. Many of which had not even rooted yet.

Not sure how useful this review will be since I usually only visit Flowerland once a year. But every time I visit, I’m very happy that I did. I’m not a big gardener, so the one time a year that I make it here is when I’m looking for a Christmas tree. Obviously I would rather have the beautiful experience of wandering through the snow and cutting down my own perfect tree. But let’s be honest... that opportunity doesn’t happen in West Michigan as regularly as we may like it to happen. The last few times I’ve attempted to have that experience, I’ve ended up in rain or sleet and trudged through mud and frustration rather than beautiful powdery snow. So... for the last three years or so, we have decided to check out Flowerland for our tree, and we have been happy with that decision every year. The prices of their trees is fair, the variety is great, the outdoor area where you can look at the trees is set up nicely, and I have never purchased pre-cut OR u-cut Christmas trees that have lasted longer than the trees that I’ve gotten from Flowerland. This is now an annual stop for us, and will continue to be one for many years to come.

Went their today today to buy a Apple and Cherry tree. Thought my EBT food card would cover this. Apparently, they are not set up to accept these. Too bad. After being turned down the nice lady checking out behind me offered to pay for the trees! $105 dollars.I was trying to get these and plant them for my sister's belated birthday last Tuesday. We are the same age for one week. Therefore, it just happened to be my birthday today.She needed help loading a 40 lb bag of top soil so I jumped right in and loaded into her cart and then her trunk.This is an example of that there is still good hearted Christian people out there! She will be forever blessed for this. God works in mysterious ways.

The place is nice and has a wide selection of plants. I have been their customer twice and I will probably not go there anymore specifically because of a less than friendly behavior of some of the senior ladies that work there. To a simple question about where within a store I can find a particular product, the ladies, with an unhappy facial expression snapped a short answer and disengaged. I have no idea what about this place makes some of the employees that unhappy, but it certainly makes me want to steer clear from this place in the future. What an attitude!

One of the best nurseries I have ever been to. They seem to have anything and everything that you could need.My other half does landscaping and mentioned several times that the ceramic pots that are carried here are half the prices that you would find anywhere else. The staff is more than helpful and goes above and beyond the call of duty.The retail area as well as the grounds as a whole and restrooms are clean and well organized. They have an amazing selection of Christmas décor that meets any budget and decorating style. Amazing, amazing place.

I really enjoy this place and their wonderful variety of plants for both indoor and outdoor in the right seasons. They are priced really well for things like mulch, soil, and compost. I only gave it 4 stars because this place really desperately needs a new roof and ceiling. There were spots that were legitimately dripping water and forming puddles. When I looked up the ceiling was terribly water-stained. Save your products and store and get a new roof!

I keep giving this shop more chances, but almost every plant I bring home dies immediately, usually from having been over watered before I buy it. They're always very wet when I get them, and before they dry out enough for me to ever water them, they die. I was a lot more careful in the plant I picked this time, and now I've noticed it has spider mites. I'm not someone to complain, especially about customer service, but I never feel welcome in the store.

Kind of disappointed in Alpine store. Spent a lot of money 6 weeks ago there redoing all of my front yard landscaping. Bought all my flowers there also. I bought one to hang in tree. It was in the shade section and said shade on tag. Not doing well at all. Hardly no flowers. I took back to ask questions today and manager said must have been marked wrong at warehouse because it needs 6-8 hours sun. Was told to put in sun, but that's not what I wanted. I wanted flowers for my tree branch. I think an apology for incorrect marking would have helped or maybe given a small shade loving plant. It's not my fault it was marked wrong.

Visited Flowerland on 4/8/17 looking for grass seed, bird seed, fertilizer, foliage, and the like. In fact, our first stop was Lowe's, but with there being no one available to answer our questions about grass seed I called Flowerland for answers. Their helpfulness over the phone prompted us to leave Lowe's and drive to Flowerland. There, the staff were very helpful in answering our questions about what type of grass seed to lay and when (we're relatively new homeowners), what types of boxwood would be best for the look we want, the perks of cocoa shells as mulch, and more. We found a great supply of all the items we were looking for, including organic yard care products. And when we finally checked out, the staff helped to load up our car. Great spot for all your yard questions & needs!

First time shopper at Flowerland on Alpine. Customer service was horrible. Cashier was irritable and rude. One item was miss marked and she told me that I had to pay the other price until I explained the state law to her. I received better service at Walmart. Last time shopper there now.

I really love the large variety of flowers that they have available. The only downside that I have is that they could probably improve the staffs service. Other than that keep up the amazing work! Can't wait to go here again soon!
