This unique butcher shop market and grill specializes in local Michigan meats, sausages, cheese, and house-made smoked items. They stock a variety of condiments and have frozen items for your convenience. The meat market is open Tuesday through Friday 10-6 and Saturday 10-5 pm.The grill, open for the last 2 years, offers breakfast and lunch and is a favorite place for regulars. It is open Tuesday through Saturday 7-2. They also do catering.

Hanz is the man. I’ve had nothing but great experiences with him and his staff. The meat is quality and the shop is very clean. He’s also processed meat for me and I wouldn’t take it to anyone else. Best in the area. He’s busy but worth the wait if you can swing it.

Wow, my new favorite Olive Burger, my fav was the Wayland Hotel, not anymore Dokl knows how to make and incredibly juicy, delicious olive burger. First time I ever had one using Kalamata olives and and the flavorful sauce, not just plain mayo. The burger will leave you wanting to return again and again. I will be back soon!!

Great place. Best breakfast. Fantasy schnitzel sandwich. The best breakfast potatoes I’ve ever had. Hans the owner is incredible and a skilled chef who is at the helm of the best kept secret in Grand Rapids.

Call a couple of places to see where I could find brisket. They had it and was better priced than the other places. They also sold me what I want not the whole thing which was nice. Smoked it and it was very good. Photos is before it went into the smoker.

We wanted something quick and easy to eat. We drove around and couldn't find anything that interested us. We say the Meat Market sign and decided to just take a look before going back to the hotel. Started in the market area and damn! the meat looked delish! But we wanted a sammy or something small and light since it was so late. So we went over to the Grill part. Once we walked in and saw the kitchen we knew we were in for a good meal. Asked the cook what was the fav here and he pointed out a few items that sounded good. He then said, "schnitzel" and boom! game over. I ordered the sandwich with a side of Austrian Potato salad. This was the best schnitzel I've had since before the Metro Club closed down in Chicago. The one on Lincoln Ave. And the salad was just like my grandma made. I think they close early during the week but this place is worth it for sure. What a great meal!

My son and I stopped in for a late breakfast. I got the omelet, which rates as on of the best I’ve ever had! He got the the Nutella French toast. I had to tried a bite and let me tell you, it was delicious! Had me wishing I wasn’t on a diet lol! I’ve also stopped in to buy brats, kielbasa, chicken breast, pork butt, steaks, and meat sticks. You definitely need to stop here for breakfast or lunch!

We’ve been loyal customers on the meat market side and finally gave the cafe side a try for breakfast. Food is great. Priced well. Didn’t like the plastic utensils though. Coffee is delicious.

Found this gem by pure accident(yes I mean gem). First let's start with the employees FANTASTIC. All seemed like they enjoyed their job and we're polite. Now the food in the deli was AMAZING. Hands down the best clam chowder. The burger and fries were both AWESOME. A must go if you're in the e Comstock Park area. Now the meat market was GREAT and all I expect a meat market to be clean,knowledgeable, and just perfect.

Smaller restaurant w about 10 tables most set up for 2 or 4, but a couple tables can be merged together for a larger group.Menu has a great variety to suit most cravings w a few daily specials.Quick and friendly service. Take out as well.Get the cinnamon roll (even to-go). You won't be disappointed.Also, the sausage is most flavorful I've had to date!

First rate, honest, local-aware. I love having a small butcher shop close by. While some things like ground beef and tri tip seem to be always available, there's always some variation every week. The house-made Italian and breakfast sausage is fantastic, and I love the brats and kielbasa. I haven't yet tried the bacon or jerky but I imagine it's spectacular like everything else. Hans, the owner, knows his meats, knows where it's from, and has plenty of suggestions. Definitely worth stopping in. On West River Dr just east of 131 next to Subway.2021 Edit: The recent addition of the grill/catering service is wonderful. The hamburgers are beautifully done and may be the best meat patty I've ever had. There's a daily special, so keep an eye on their postings.

Wow, most incredible burger I have eaten in years. Just visiting for a week for business and thought I would stop in for a bite. Order the Panther Burger. Juicy, Hot, Fresh, Flavorful, absolutely delicious. The fries are seasoned, hot (not spicy), crisp, light feeling and full of great taste. I will be a return customer every time I get back to Michigan.

Breakfast on a Saturday morning. We arrived just after 0700 and had coffee while deciding on the selections. We ended ordering one standard Nutella French Toast and a specialty omelet with the American fried potatoes. Couple of outstanding things right off, the French toast was made with cranberry walnut bread and it was awesome (My wife says 10 out of 10). My omelet was awesome. everything was timely, on point and well garnished. I could not finish all the food - it was a spread for a meager cost. I can only give 5 stars but you wont regret breakfast here.

I discovered Dokl’s meat market a few months ago. The meat is always flavorful and the staff is knowledgeable about how to cook the meat. If you are looking for a decadent burger, get the bacon cheeseburger patties to grill up! The grill side is also great. The corned beef hash is delicious. I’m a fan of the sausage. It’s just good food that is done well and isn’t fussy. Pictured was todays lunch special: pot roast soup and a turkey & avocado club. It hit just right in a chilly fall day!

If you want great meat and friendly service, this is the place to go! We have bought from here on multiple occasions and have not been let done at all. The salmon jerky, kielbasa and dry aged steak is our favorite. That being said, you can't go wrong with anything from here. Would recommend you stop in and check them out.

First off the food is top-notch, and the new breakfast menu is a must-try!The facility itself is quant and clean!The staff has always shown how much they care and check in to make sure you are happy with the food!Not only can you taste that they have a passion, you feel it too!If you’ve never been, I highly recommend making the stop, even if it means traveling out of your way!

Got carryout as soon as we had a chance to support local business. The food was fantastic. Fresh Greek salad with juicy grilled chicken and well seasoned, perfectly cooked burgers. Fries may rival Elk's. Highly recommend!

I've been getting jerky and steak from Dokl's for a few years (since they opened), and it's the best steak I've ever had. When they recently opened their grill, I tried a burger, and it was crazy juicy and good. You will not be disappointed with this place -- they know how to do meat!

I love this place! Mr. Dokl is very nice and very friendly along with his employees. The quality of the meat is always good. The prices are also. I can't say enough good things about this place and Mr. Dokl!Last Friday my husband and I went and tried his newly open restaurant next door. The burgers we ordered were amazing! We could not get home fast enough to eat them. Thank you Mr. Dokl for opening it! We will definitely be back!

I’ve gotten multiple ribeye and New York strip very delicious they also do deer processing in fall and they were very quick to process my deer some of the best venison burger/ steaks I’ve ever had

Great new facility. Being a true West-Sider now from Lowell; I Had to stop and check out Dokl's Meat Market. Very clean neat and tidy. Hans and Damion very Friendly. Gonna try their Kielbasa. I know the best varieties all around; in and out of GR area. I wish them luck. They have very tough competition.Stay turned for the results..Kielbasa is a good Change of pace but not the BEST as are the Polish Meat markets . Their Marinated Chickenand Beef Jerky were veryGood as were their Pork Steaks..
