Ordered a strawberry filled cow cake per my boys request for their birthday party and this cake turned out so cute! Taylor was kind to accommodate and communicated with me. It was made exactly like the picture and had great flavor! The cake ready to go when I arrived to picked it up. Cute shop with lots to offer. Will have to come back again and try something else.

I was not surprised to see this place closed. I was excited to go after looking at their menu and then totally disappointed.The staff was rude and acted like my coming into order was an inconvenience. I ended up with a dry pastry instead of the sandwich I came for.I thought it was interesting to see that the criticism has been long term with the owner going into lengthy explanations instead of just acknowledging a problem and trying to rectify the issues.

I didn't give the poor cashier much to go on for what I wanted my cappuccino to be like, and she hit it spot on. 1 large black coffee and a large cappuccino, cost 7 bucks and some change. Not sure how thsy compares to Starbucks but thought that might help someone.Kid-friendliness: They have toys in their window ledge for children when they are there.

Highly highly highly recommend!! I’m an RN at watervliet hospital and a group of us have started ordering lunch from here once a week!! The food is AMAZING, the desserts are even better and you can’t beat the bubble teas!! They also deliver our order to the hospital when able!! Taylor the owner is so kind and goes above and beyond to make it a great experience each week we order!! Thank you Taylor and staff for providing us with great food and service every week, it’s truly an honor to support such a great local small business!!!

Ordered a cake here and was really happy with it!! It looked and tasted wonderful. The cake topper person they work with does a great job too.This was my first experience ordering a custom cake, and it went relatively smoothly. There was a complication that came up, but it wasn't their fault, and honestly, it weirdly ended up with a better result than I originally planned?? Either way, the staff is nice, and I am incredibly grateful for their work!!

We always love going to Soulards for the Boba tea (or lemonade if that's your preferance) but they have so much more to enjoy. Oberweiss ice cream, tea, muffins, desserts. It's a great local business with very friendly people that's always fun to stop at.

I booked this place for my wedding. I decided to do one of their dessert grazing tables. At the tasting the lady who helped us was nice, Olivia I think her name was but felt a little unorganized in fact didn’t write our date down and I had to keep reminding her of what it was. But we liked the food and opted to go for it. Fast forward, we are a week out from the wedding and they are emailing me telling me the time I’d like them to come won’t work because they overbooked themselves and have multiple deliveries to do that day. While I’m sympathetic to those things that ultimately isn’t my problem. I tried to be flexible but they wanted to set up during my ceremony which just wouldn’t work. After many emails and me have to rework my entire schedule around them we settled on 345-4 and they would set up in a different location and move the table when it was done. After doing all of that they are late and don’t show up until after four. My coordinator tried called them on my phone. But I’m assuming they had my number saved because they denied the call three times before she called on her phone and they answered promptly. Taylor answered and was INCREDIBLY rude to my person for very nasty with her about THEM being late. Then they get here they ignore all my notes about how I wanted specific things used for the cake and then leave in a huff. Don’t do weddings if you’re going to be mad about you being late. Lastly we did the grazing table which came with a small cake for us to cut. When we did our tasting we loved this white cake with a Bavarian filling it was amazing to say the least. The cake I are on my wedding day however, was dry, and the filling was vanilla instant pudding at best, awful. I wouldn’t waste my time with this place and I think this is my biggest regret from wedding day.

This is an amazing home grown bakery that features fresh baked cookies, cakes, and sandwiches! The owner takes a lot of time to ensure that everything is made fresh and the customers are taken care of. They feature Oberweis products as well including fresh gallons of milk!Truly a hidden gem in Coloma!

You can't run in the Glad-Peach 5k and not eat a piece of peach pie from Soulards afterward! I live out of town, but always make a point of visiting Soulards when visiting family here. My daughter and I participated in the 5k for the annual Glad-Peach festival. Afterward, I wanted to take her somewhere authentically "Coloma" to get something peach flavored. As usual, Soulards did not disappoint. I enjoyed a piece of pie overflowing with juicy, flavorful peaches, and my daughter had peach boba tea and indulged in an assortment of macaroons. The atmosphere is quaint and cozy, the kind of place where you could get lost in conversation with a friend over a cup of coffee, get hours of work done on your laptop after purchasing one of the artisan pastries from the display case, or grabbing something to go, regardless of what you order, you can't go wrong.

We were looking forward to going based on the other reviews, but it was just okay. Staff was super friendly, the restaurant itself seems clean and is very cute, typically my kind of place for sure. We asked for our breakfast sandwiches warm, and when we got out to the car to unwrap them (just minutes after they were handed to us) they were still cold. It didn't taste bad, but it would have been better hot. We ordered 2 drinks, the latte was great but my mocha was awful. It tasted so bitter, I didn't taste either coffee or chocolate. They also had signs on their doors that stated they were refusing to enforce mask requirements, and as a healthcare worker that just feels like a slap in the face. I hoped the food and coffee would make that worth it, but it fell short. Next time we're in the area we'll probably try another place.Updating because I do appreciate the owner's response. I definitely don't need a refund, I wouldn't want to take away from any small businesses during a really difficult time for them. After that response, we'd be willing to give Soulards another shot :) The breakfast sandwich was really good, even coldish. Looking forward to a chocolatey mocha in the future!

Please consider going elsewhere.While the spot is nice and the service was good, the food and coffee was not.The doughnuts were stale, the breakfast sandwich was cold and looked like it had egg (but did not). The burrito was not seasoned and so the meat was bland and disgusting.I ordered a cappuccino. I don't think they know what a cappuccino is.

Everything was so delicious! They sure pay attention to detail and quality! BLT and The Marsha were both fresh and amazing. I also had a chocolate cherry scone that was yummy and the coffee is fantastic as well. My son devoured his cinnamon roll. Very nice little place and kind service.

My Husband and I got married this past Saturday and had Soulard’s cater with a dessert bar. We were very pleased with all of the items that were made! Communication was great and very quick responses via Facebook. We definitely got married during a very busy time, but were very pleased with the attention we received. Thank you!

It was my first time there. The shop had a cute Cafe feel to it. Though we had to wait since there was only one person running the whole place we waited patiently and when our turn came the girl was kind to us and answered all our questions we had on what was good to eat there.I got the buble tea with strawberry, kiwi syrup and pi k lemonade. It was so good. Though I wish I asked for more Boba cuz they were so refreshing. I recommend stopping in

Every experience at Soulards has been fantastic! The food is beyond yummy, the Peach Pulled Pork nachos is a family favorite, and they have the nicest, most caring staff. You will not be disappointed

Food is great, however the service could use some improvement. 2 consecutive orders placed online. Each time, I walk in to grab my online order and am informed that they do not have the meat for the Zoe. Today, I placed my order at 11:26 a.m. for a 12:30 p.m. pick up. They had a whole hour to either email me or call me to inform me of the shortage and to schedule the alternative.Two lunch hours wasted on driving from Watervliet to Coloma only to find out my online order is not ready.If an online order is placed and you do not have the necessary items to make it, how come you guys do not reach out to the customer?They were able to refund my money right there and within 2 seconds, I got a text informing me of the refund. You have the technology for receipts but cant contact your customers?

Today was my first visit and I will definitely be back! Met a friend and brought our little ones for cookies. The owner was super sweet about our kids...they are only one and while they weren’t bad, they were curious and the owner was just really great about them exploring the place! It’s sometimes hard to find places where we as moms can enjoy ourselves with our kiddos because not all shop owners are so kid-friendly! Much appreciated! The cookies were delicious, as was the coffee. Can’t wait to try lunch next time we go!

My friend recommend me this place so I called to try to place an order for 3 weeks ahead. Didn’t get back with me and I did e-mail them. As soon as I called to see if they could do my order the lady answered and told me they were “just about to call me” after they said they would. I was told they would have to see because they are “busy” with Valentines Day. All I wanted was like a dozen cupcakes for my Birthday which is unfortunately a day before Valentine’s Day. I was just off put buy their vibe over the phone, I didn’t feel the need to give them my service.

No donuts yet! Arrived shortly after they opened at 8am, and was surprised there were no donuts in the case. The worker was unable tell me when any would be ready. I had even called the night before to confirm opening time and that they sold donuts. I had intended to support local business, my previous experience is most bakeries bake for a couple hours before they open so they open with a full case. Ended up getting yummy donuts from the Wesco gas station down the road.

Definitely one of the worst eating establishments in Michigan or any place that I’ve ever gone to in my life. Food was not professionally made and seem to be microwaved and not freshly cooked. The lady that owns the place seem to have some kind of psychological disorder because she was yelling at almost every customer. Some customer tried to return a bad dish and she kicked him out of the store. These people should not be in the restaurant business they are not fit for this line of work and also need to go for some chef training ! Two thumbs down.

Wow this place is so amazing! It is the perfect cafe nook and a hidden gem! Their gourmet sandwiches are the best around, their bubble tea is a favorite, and the cake balls are so good! Taylor also makes amazing wedding cakes and is super talented. The inside of the shop is really cute, perfect for a coffee date. Their coffee is also top notch, better than Starbucks!Great service! The girls who run the shop are cute, pretty, and smile!

This place is super cute. I met my sister here today. She came from South Bend and I came from Kalamazoo. So it was perfectly halfway. The food and drinks were great we ordered a hot mocha, frappe, BLT's, & ice tea and donut for my son. We did have to wait an awfully long time for all of our items. They served 4 people that came in after us their drinks, and we still waited for our sandwiches to get done after that. We didn't think BLT's should take that long. Other than the wait it was a great place to meet. We hope we can meet again there for more coffee!

I would give them lower than 1 star if it was possible. My fiancé and I contacted Taylor, the owner, about doing a dessert bar for our wedding this year. Taylor was responsive in the beginning, but as soon as we buy down the $100 retainer fee it was complete radio silence. We had a cake tasting set up but had to cancel due to illness. Both my fiancé and I have reached out several times to reschedule and I was told that “she saw your email, but she’s super busy with other wedding right now. So she’ll answer when she’s got time.” I thought okay, that’s fine. I understand being busy with other weddings. What I am not okay with is being ignored after I got put money down. I had read a the reviews of Soulards before booking and there were several less than stellar ones, but I chose to give them the benefit of the doubt, but they have all proven to be true.Needless to say, we will not be using them any longer.

I have used this establishment for my orders through Wish. They are awful! The last order I was getting through them, they scanned it, took forever looking for it, then returned with the excuse that they hadn't been to the post office. But, in order for items to be available to be picked up that means that they had to have gotten them and scan them in. I was so literally sad to not have the birthday gifts for my young daughter. It's been such a hard year, especially for the kiddos, and she asked for very little.
