Store was clean and not too crowded. Staff were attentive and patient because I had four small children with me and answered my questions. I bought a new three huge mystery snails and they are adjusting just fine. Only draw back fish were a little expensive for my taste but then again so is everything else nowadays. Good overall experience will I go back ummmm I'm not sure yet we will see.

Nice mom and pop type store. Lots of good fish. Saltwater and fresh. There's even several turtles wandering around the store it's a really cool experience to take kids. There are lots of fish supplies tanks in tons of different fish. Definitely a place to take everyone. Decent prices friendly people

Going to give a mixed review, A+ service from the young man working tonight (1/8/24), answered all our questions and never acted like we were bothering him, the "manager" that was there gets a fat F, she needs to learn how to train people instead of being snide towards them, and you sure don't treat every customer as a thief and a hindrance to your existence, you, miss thing, only have a paycheck because of the customers you despise so much, if you dislike your job so much, quit, plain and simple, I am a GM of a local business and if I ever thought about treating my employees, let alone customers like that, we would be closed. All in all, not a bad little shop, I will definitely go back.

Great place for fish and hobbyist questions. The fish are well cared for and advice is phonmonial. I've been coming to this place for 23 years. Prices are fair.

Make sure you have a hospital tank besides your main tank when buying fish from here or any where for your main tanks health. Especially if you have older fish you've had for a while! Good verity of fish!

Well this is a good and bad review. I would of loved to give a 5 star but unfortunately couldn't due to one employee.Where I would of given the 5 star is the fish are nice and the atmosphere is pleasant. The past 2 times I've been there in the last week the 2 gentleman that helped us were knowledgeable and pleasant to be around. They were good to us. I wish I knew names.Where I can't give a 5 star is due to the female that works there that always wears the straw looking hat and has shoulder length brown hair. She is absolutely rude and has a no people personality. She has no clue how to be kind to another human being whether it's the way she treated the guy waiting on me on the 8th or today her snapping at me while I was being checked out. On the 8th she raised her voice at the guy who waited on us which you could tell he was new because he left the plant in the bag with my beta. If it was that big of a concern she could have taken it out herself instead of be nasty about it. She then proceeded to smack his wrist with the money marker instead of nicely reminding him to use it. Not how you interact with someone and she must of forgot where she started from at one time.Today she told me well if you don't think you need it then you don't need it do you. When I proceeded to explain to her nicely even though her attitude was nasty that I have never had an issue and didn't ever use a switch valve for my air pump out of all the years I ran a some routine set up and when power went out it didn't syphon out. Her response was don't get it then it's that simple. She needs to keep in mind that she has a job there because people come in and spend money there. If customers don't come in and spend money businesses don't succeed. I try to support little local businesses and not chain stores but that lady makes me not want to spend money there and keep my business fully at Dotty's. Honestly it might be good for her to have some training in customer service skills and how you treat other people.If you can get past her ugly attitude and rude behavior and remarks this is a good fish store.

This store is amazing first off they have cute tortoises just roaming around and so so so many awesome fish. This one girl employee helped me out all around the store with all my questions answered and a sweet attitude definitely coming back

Customer service is very good, and real friendly staff, all fish look very healthy, bought a German blue ram and some additional live plants today. There prices are fair and reasonable, this was my first time at this store and will most likely shop there from now on. It’s nice to have a non big box store like this one to shop at.

We stopped into the store to look at fish tanks. We were greeted by the owner and was given the best service and knowledge about starting a fish tank. She took her time with us and answered all questions. We left the store with a generous tank and all of the goodies to start his own aquarium. Thank you for your time! We will see you soon .

Absolutely love this place! Jack and his staff are beyond helpful and go through so much work to make sure their tanks are stocked with beautiful, healthy fish. It was great to hear that the owner is involved in the fish community! Will definitely be coming back!

The young man working was very helpful and sweet. Unfortunately the fish I bought started out happily swimming around and the next day several have died. My fish that were already in my tank are fine its just the ones I just bought each day I find a new one dead (We are at 4 now!). 😡 After spending almost $100 on fish they shouldn't be dropping dead! The tank is only friendly social fish so they aren't being attacked. The waters perfect, temps perfect my fish are healthy. Ugh .. I really don't like this! I have several hundreds of dollars worth of fish in my tank and don't want anything spreading to them. I will be treating the entire tank tomorrow as a precaution in case I was sold sick fish.

I've shopped here for as long as I can remember, since they first opened. It started out as a very reliable establishment. I understand that business is business but there are ethics when dealing with live creatures and loyal customers. I am not calling anyone unethical but sometimes morals and ethics must come before your bottom line. I do recommend buying your fish here. I have never been disappointed or had any issues with their fish. They are healthy and good quality. The young staff are very personable and respectful. I have noticed they seem to be having trouble finding new employees that are knowledgeable about the hobby in general. But I think that's happening all over the place right now. I highly recommend this store to anyone who is interested in the hobby in general. But do your own research beforehand.

Yes, knowledgeable, but as other reviewers note, the older lady is snooty. I'm not an expert on pet fish, so it seems reasonable for me to ask questions from the pet store without being treated like I'm dumb for asking. Excellent selection of fish. The place could use a good cleaning. I stopped coming here to get reverse osmosis water refills because Culligan is SO much cleaner.

Ya know this place is just awesome! I had a conversation with the owner and let me start off he wasn't complaining simply explaining the answer to a question I had asked. This shop has awesome selections of fish I took the time I looked over the shop, awesome selection competitive and properly priced inventory to suit all of an aquarist needs. When an owner makes a monthly trip across the country and hand selects fish and the products to carry in his store, I can't help but respect this place! I left with two gorgeous African cichlids, a beautiful male Jewel Cichlid and another Sunburst Peacock I'm stoked for these beautiful fish to be in my tank! Thank you truly from myself to all of you at Somethins Fishy!
